Can't submit forms online

Whenever I am online shopping at a website or filling in a form that I need to submit it will not work.  It always says my email is invalid.  Is this a settings issue that I can correct?
Thank you

Here's my suggestion:
1.  Make sure you have a Contact card set up for yourself (in the Contacts application), with your email address correctly entered.
2.  In Safari, open Preferences --> AutoFill and check "AutoFill web forms: Using info from my Contacts card".

from the docu on my pocket pc:
Submit form data using handheld devices over a wireless connection. If you are working offline, the data is temporarily stored, then submitted once a connection is established. Send forms by e-mail or directly to the destination server using a cradle or cable

To your question regarding the Pocket PC version of Reader, I downloaded Adobe Reader for Pocket Pc 2 and installed it on my HP iPAQ . I then loaded my test PDF file onto the iPAQ. The Reader for Pocket PC preformed an email submission fine. However, I received no indication that anything happened when I tried an HTTP Post. So I think you can only do an email submission.
In general, I have been testing to see how much I can do without the Live Cycle Reader Extensions, since for sure I will never be able to purchase them. What I have found is that for Acrobat Reader 7, the email submission works for all of the people I have asked to test it, but the HTTP Post has worked for only one of the two people who have tested it so far with Reader 7 (the one for which it worked claims that he only has Reader 7 on his computernot Acrobat).

  • Can I submit form using app.launchURL

I want to submit a pdf form without replacing my page. I need it open in new tab.
The script below is work, but it replaces my old page
    this.submitForm({
    cURL:
    cSubmitAs:
    "PDF",
    cCharset:
    "utf-8"
This script is open a new tab but I have no idea how can I submit a form using this
    app.launchURL("http://localhost:8080/project/TestServlet", true);
Can anyone guide me how to submit form with open new tab on the web browser?
    Thanks.

No, you can't submit the form like that. You could submit some form data as
    a URL parameter, though.

  • Can't Submit Forms

    Hello,
I have a form that I have to submit and it will redirect me to a webpage where i can upload files.  Or I have the option to click save and submit later where it saves the form adn takes me back a page.
On Windows it works perfect.  But on my Mac system, when i click the link for the form, it opens in Acorbat (i've also tried Reader) and when I click submit I get this prompt:
The document is trying to connect to
    file:///index.cfm?event=VendorsOnly.submitEventForm
If you trust the site, choose Allow. If you do not trust the site, choose Block.
I click Allow, and then get "Error opening URL to submit this form" obviosuly because the URL is wrong.  I've tried opening the pdf in preview and the two buttons do nothing.
I also tried installing the firefox pdf plugin, which displays the pdf in my window, which is nice, but i still can't click any of the buttons to do anything.
I'd appreciate it if anybody could lend some advice.
    Thank you,
    Tom

For it to work, you have to configure things so that Acrobat or Reader opens in a browser. As far as I know, this is possible with Safari (in 32-bit mode) and Acrobat/Reader, but no other browser/PDF viewer combinations will work on the Mac.

  • How can I submit form data to an outside url after a purchase?

I'm using BC as the ecommerce portion of a site that sells certificates that people will purchase.  There is an outside developer creating PDF certificates with their info and a custom code.  Does anyone know how I can submit data from purchase form to an external url?

    Two ways.
To get around cross site restrictions:
    - In javascript dynamically create a hidden iframe, copy the form data into that iframe, attach an onload event to that iframe, submit the form (in the iframe), once the iframe as loaded, submit the BC form as usual. Google around there should be examples out there.
    - Use JSONP to do the same thing, but this will use a GET so your data wont be encrypted at all (this might not be a concern for you and you'll need to check if the outside developer making the PDF can handle this response).

  • How can I submit assignments online using my ipad, I have an app where I can store as well as create Microsoft office documents but when I browse to submit an assignment it only gives me the option to look in my camera roll.

I have an ipad 2 I am a new apple user except for my iPod. I purchased the ipad for school but I am a little confused. I have downloaded an app that allows me to create and store Microsoft office documents. I am enrolled in an online college and when I submit documents it makes me browse for them, the only problem with this is that when I try to submit a document from my ipad on my ipad it only brings up the option in the browse as the camera roll.

Your best bet is to contact the app developer or give another browser a try. Safari can be limited in what it'll allow you to do while other browsers have more functionality. I'd check with the tech support for your online school and then with the app developer. They can give you more specific help than we can with what limited info you've given us.

  • Can't submit form with table of buttons

The reason: you close your first form too early. Put the </form> after
              your <input type='submit value-'Klaar' .....>
Oh BTW, this is a shocker - too much Java inside your HTML! You should
consider writing a custom tag. (My 2 cents)

  • Can't submit form with multiple signatures

I have a form with multiple signatures. I've enabled Reader Rights. After the first signature signs, the user must save the document. When the document is saved, then the user cannot submit the form to the next signer. Is there a way to change how this is working?
    Thanks,

Did you design the form with Adobe Designer?  Assuming you did, when you add a signature field, there is a property enabled by default that "Locks all fields" after signing.  A submit button is also considered a field so it will be locked after the first signature is applied.
You need to either disable this property (I would not recommend this) or create field collections that are assigned to specific signature fields.  A field collection controls which fields are locked by each signature field when signed.

  • Create a PDF form and 1/2 the people can't submit

    Hello,
I create a  Acrobat Pro 9 form. In it I created a submit button. I then I uploaded to my acrobat.com account to track response. 1/2 the people have  been able to submit it without any problems. So it is working. The other half say when  they hit the submit button it does nothing. I have made sure they are  using Reader 9 or higher. What else could be the issue?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
You're in the forum for the product Adobe FormsCentral (http://formscentral.adobe.com), a service that allows you to create and distribute forms online. We can't help with questions about issues with PDF forms. I recommend taking a look at the Acrobat User Community site and reposting your question to the forum there:
    www.acrobatusers.com/forum
You could also try re-creating your form using FormsCentral... nudge nudge... just a thought.
    Best of luck!

  • Can a submit button send forms directly to an email address?

Hi, I'm just trying to design a form for an online business and am wondering whether I can have all forms sent directly to an email address to notify me of an order. I have Acrobat 9 Extended and Windows 7. Cheers

Yes, when you set up the Submit Form action, specify a mailto type URL. Make sure mailto is lower case and there are no spaces, something like: mailto:[email protected]
If you want Reader users to be able to send the entire PDF, it must be Reader-enabled: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader

Are you running modified software on your phone?  This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

  • Where does the "Submit Form" button get created and how can I change the associated email address?

I've created a pdf form using Adobe Live Cycle ES 8.2 and it has been working fine.  Now I need to change the email address it gets sent to when the user clicks on the "Submit Form" button.
How can I change this email address?
    Thank you in advance

    Yes, that is correct.
I did not manually add this button, so I am assuming it was somehow automatically created.
It worked great up until now that I need to change the "To:" email address.
I've look through the XML code associated this this email address and changed it every where I could find it, but it still hasn't changed my results.  So, I have no idea how to change this and as stated above, if I create a new form it automatically sets it up to be sent to the wrong email address.  Not sure why or how to change it?
Let me know if you need further info to help me out.
    Thanks again

  • I need a older browser 3.5 for a FAFSA.ed.gov form online that is the required browser, can i get that?

I need a older browser 3.5 for a FAFSA.ed.gov form online, that is the required browser, can i get that? I cant get past the sign in page due to not having the older browser, can I get the older browser?

You could consider Firefox portable, to use solely for the FAFSA site. Firefox portable will I understand run Firefox 3.6.22, which is the latest and supported Firefox 3.6 version. See http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable
If you want just the one browser then Firefox 3.6 is available from : http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
(IIRC others have said Firefox 3.6 is compatible with FAFSA, firefox 3.6 is still supported, Firefox 3.5 is not. If you opted for Firefox 3.5 you would run increased security risks, so use of Firefox 3.5 is no longer recommended)

I cannot fill in forms online. How can I fix this?

Click the orange Firefox button and go to Options | Options | Privacy and checkmark "'''Remember Search & Form History'''".
Some sites use Flash objects for which you'll need Adobe Flash to be installed. You can download that from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
