Can't submit my photo book

i've FINALLY finished laying out my iBook and now want to submit/buy, but getting an error saying one of my pages is missing a photo....the page it takes me to looks normal, and I can't figure out how to get past this message.  Have taken the photos out of this particular page, dragged them back in, resized them etc, all to no avail
getting frustrated!
any tips??
thx!!!

Look for a page with a layout and background like this:
This will give you that error message.

  • Can a completed Aperture photo book be placed on a website for viewing by friends?  I already had several copies successfully printed by Apple.

Can a completed Aperture photo book be placed on a website for viewing by friends?  I already have several copies successsfully printed by Apple?  Thanks. Buzz22

There is no direct web publishing of a book, sorry. But as a work-around: You can print your book to pdf - select it in the book in the Inspecktor panel and use "Print book".  Then select the "PDF" buttun in the print panel and save a pdf file. Upload the pdf to a server for sharing (ftp, Drop box) and send your friends a link or place a link to the file on a webpage.

  • Can you transfer a photo book you've started on one mac to another?

can you transfer a photo book you've started on one mac to another?

Duplicate the library in the finder. Using iPhoto you access the contents of the library. You can not duplicate it there
To copy the library between machines you connect them together (he depends on your machines and set set up. Could be via moving an external drive, via a network, via FireWire, etc.) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from one Mac to the other

  • I can not upload the photo book.

I can not upload the photo book upload process stops. I have to finish my mac iphoto and reboot. What is going wrong here?

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 10 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • How can i create a photo book from 2 libraries easily?

    This is my situation.
I want to create a photo album of my child for the past year for parents/grandparents etc from the photos on mine AND my wifes macbooks. Before iphoto 9.5 i would simply look at her shared library from my iPhoto and use hers and my photos to make a book.
Now there is no shared library in 9.5, so after doing my homework on how apple wants us to do this now, I started a shared iCloud photostream ('kid' 2013) and invited my wife to it. I started adding photos from my library, and she did the same. All good i thought, but no. Becasue the photo stream only sorts by 'date added' not date taken, and in fact I cannot even see the date the photo was taken in the photostream, it means making a chronological photo book from both our photo libraries has now been made impossible.
Anybody got any other ways to do this?

Create an album, and then select all photos in the Shared Photo Sream and add them to the album. In the album you can see the dates of the photos in the Info panel. Then sort your album by date, and create the Photo Book from the album, not directly from the shared stream.

  • How can I publish a photo book using an iPad

Can someone walk me through publishing a hard back photo book using an iPad .I have iPhoto app installed

I don't believe you can create and publish a book directly from the iPhoto for iOS app. You can create a journal which can be published to iCloud, but that's the only sharing feature I can find. There may be third-party software that can do this; the HP Photobook App has been mentioned, but I know nothing about it. Otherwise, if you want to create a book, I think you'll have to transfer your photos to a computer and use software there (iPhoto for Mac OS X, if you have a Mac).

  • Can I open a photo book created in Aperture 3 in iPhoto?

    HI
I have created a photo book using Aperture 3 of a recent overseas tour. I want to send it to all the tour group so that they can print or buy their own copy.
Not everyone has Aperture but all will have iPhoto...
I have saved the book as a separate Library but when I open this library in iPhoto I cannot find the book - all the photos etc are there but not the book.
    Solution???
    viola67

The unified library does not work for books and other products. Aperture and iPhoto cannot open each others books, because the editing options are different.
See:  Using the Unified Photo Library   http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5043
    Print projects
Books, calendars, and cards created in iPhoto are visible in the Source list in Aperture, but you cannot edit them. Books, web pages, and web journals created in Aperture are not visible in iPhoto.
Recreate the book in iPhoto, or send your  friends a PDF of the book. To create a pfd see:  iPhoto, Aperture: Previewing an order in iPhoto or Aperture

  • Can I print the photo book with any fonts?

I would like to print a photo book using iphoto. Is it possible to print this by using any fonts?

Don't get up your hopes, Old Toad . I never tried to buy a photo book from the iPad.
The documentation does not say much:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5037
It only mentions, that you can change the font size:
    Edit text on a page
Tap Projects, and tap the photo book to open it.
Double-tap the page containing the text you want to work with.
    Do the following:
Align the text: Tap the text box, and choose an alignment style from the menu that appears directly above the text box.
Choose the font size: Tap the text box, and tap the font size you want.
Make changes to the text: Double-tap the text box, and type.
No mention of the supported font. Probably the fonts will depend on the country of the Print Products Store you are using:
To change countries, tap at the top-left corner of the screen, and select another country from the list.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Not in the pool. Send it to me, postage collect .:( There were some server issues a few days ago requiring users to log into their .Mac account (click the .Mac tab at the top of this page and then click on My Account in the next window) and reenter their account information and save. Several users reported it took several attempts before it took.
It's not the computer, it's the server. But if you're still wanting to get rid of it.....

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Can't Find my Photo Book Project?!

I was in the middle of adding pictures to my photo book project and it gave me the little round "I'm thinking" Icon and it was taking forever, it sat for more than 5 minutes so I did a hard shut down.
When I restarted my Mac my whole project was gone!! All of my pictures are still there in the events section but the project is nowhere to be found. Please tell me I didn't just loose hours of work!? Where does iPhoto store projects by default.
Also I have Time Machine and I tried to back up the entire iPhoto application and still no luck. Is there somewhere where my project is hiding?
Please give me some advice, thanks!!

    Dana:
For a quicker and easier way to recover from similar losses in the future see the tip at the end of my signature below. You can run the referenced application as frequently as you want, after every import, every change to a book or calendar, etc. like you would use the Save command in other applications. iPhoto does not have to be closed to use it, just idle. If the problem exists, just replace the damaged database file with the backup version and you're back up and running.

  • Can others order my photo book for themselves?

I created a memorial book for a friend and many people want to order copies of it. Is there a way they can do this centrally rather me having to order each one and pay for them.

    Lorrie:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. No, there's no mechanism for that. If they are Mac users you can duplicate your library and in the duplicate delete all of the photos that are not in the book and any albums, slideshows, etc. Then burn that iPhoto Library folder to a CD via the Finder. Any Mac user can then copy that folder to their desktop, open it with iPhoto (launch iPhoto with the Option key depressed and select the book library when asked) and order it themselves.
Better yet, open the book and type Command-P. Then under the PDF button in the Print window select "Send PDF to iPhoto". That will create a jpg file for each page and import them into iPhoto. From there you can import them into iDVD and create a slideshow complete with music. (I prefrer to use iDVD to make the slideshow instead of iPhoto in that, IMO, I get better image quality in the final product.) Then burn a DVD for each person who would want one.
It's wise to do a Save as Disk Image so that you can preview the final product with DVD Player before committing to disk. Then you can burn as many copies you need with Disk Utility. Much faster than going thru the encoding and burning for each copy. I do this for each book I make as a gift. They play great thru a TV set.

  • How can I copy a photo book from a mac book pro to a mac

We have all our photobooks on our Mac. There are just two old ones that were made on an mac book pro and we want to transfer them to the mac so we have everything together.
    How should we do this?

Copy the iPhoto library that you used to create the photo books to your new mac.
Then double-click the library to open it in iPhoto (assuming you are using iPhoto '11).  What is your iPhoto version and your MacOS X verserion?
Did you use an earlier iPhoto version to create the photo books on your old mac? Then the books may change when you open them in a newer version of iPhoto because the Book Themes changed between versions. In that case it would be better to keep the iPoto libraries on the old mac with the older iPhoto version, until you are sure that opening the iPhoto libraries in the current iPhoto on your mac will not change the layout.
