Can't subscribe iTunes match, 5002 error

Hey guys
I have been trying to purchase iTunes Match service in Hong Kong for the last seven days. The very first time I clicked "subscribe" and I've got no responses. Then I clicked again it came up "Error 5002". The same error occurs again, again and again even I tried the methods below:
1) I have cleared my credit card information and re-entered again and again with different credit cards. plus I have restarted my computer and iTunes so many times.
2) I have emptied my whole iTunes library and reset it.
3) I can purchase all the other items like apps and musics.
4) I have successfully subscribed two magazines with my credit cards and these subscriptions are still available.
I understand when the international iTunes match service just launched there might be a huge load of new customers, but kept coming for error 5002 is just unacceptable.
Thank you so much for your help.
PS, I am visiting Germany but I'm a Hong Kong iTunes store user, I am not sure if that is related to this problem.
Best,
Tony

And rebooting fixed the problem.

  • Can not subscribe itunes match

    Hello
i can not subscribe itunes match "new subscribtions currently not available"  + itunes match is temporalry not accepting nwe subscritbtions"
    sorry for my english
    many thanks for your help

Unfortunately, you just have to wait until it's open for new subscriptions in your country / region.
When a lot of new users sign-up and do their initial matches it puts a lot of load on whatever server facility is designated to serve you. Over time, that load decreases and also new capacity is added. In the meantime Apple shuts off new subscriptions for a while.  It should open up again soon.

You must be signed into the mobile iTunes Store using the same Apple ID you used to originally purchase iTunes Match. On the iOS device go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and tap the Apple ID. Log out, then log in with the correct ID.

I get this error also. It is getting quite annoying. I tried contacting support and this is what they sent me:
"First, make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes. It can be downloaded free of charge from the iTunes website:
    http://www.itunes.com/download
Certain types of software can cause conflicts and prevent iTunes from connecting to the iTunes Store properly, even if the software appears to be configured to allow iTunes access. This can include firewall, virus-protection, and web-acceleration software.
If the error message persists after you upgrade iTunes, you can pinpoint which software program is the source of the block in the connection by using the MSCONFIG utility on your computer. For detailed instructions, please refer to the following article:
Using MSCONFIG to troubleshoot conflicts in Windows Vista
    http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n305415
In addition, if you are connecting to the Internet via a local area network (LAN), your router might have firewall settings that may interfere with your downloads and produce this error message. I suggest removing the router from your computer's connection and then connecting your computer directly to your modem. For assistance with settings for your router or modem, you may need to contact the manufacturer.
When configuring the software on your computer to give iTunes access to the Internet, you'll need to allow the following domains :
    phobos.apple.com
    phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net
If you require more in-depth assistance, you may wish to consider calling Apple technical support. A representative will be able to tell you about Apple's complimentary and fee-based support options and can help you determine which option might be most helpful in this case. You can reach AppleCare technical support at 800-APL-CARE (800-275-2273). Help is available seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. central time. "
Didn't help me... maybe it will work for someone else.

  • How can I force iTunes Match to upload a "Duplicate" to the iCloud?

I have one album where the first track was uploaded, and the other eleven tracks are all tagged as "Duplicates." These tracks were not uploaded to the iCloud. How can I force iTunes Match to upload these eleven tracks erroneously tagged as Duplicates?

I'm adding my 2¢ because I just "discovered" iTunes Match yesterday and decided to subscribe thinking there was no downside (doh!).
Well, firstly, there's the enormous downside of Apple's structure not being able to keep up with (what they should have known would be) enormous interest... my iTunes has been matching for >20-hours and has yet to reach half-way up my library. BTW: I thought I read the iTunes Match info fairly thoroughly prior to subscribing and did not see anything about it being for songs vrs full library.
And secondly, and even more important to me, is that Apple's method of determining duplicate songs is not robust enough, especially for classical music and audio books (e.g., LoTR). I have >12000 "songs" in my library, and Match has determined a boatload are duplicates. They are not of course and even if Apple's duplicate-determining algorithm just looked at disc & track numbers it would "know" that. Anyway, there's a fairly good chance I will not have one complete album upload/match out of >500 albums. That's nae Scottish, in anybody's book.
Gotta say, using Garage Band to individually alter >2000 "songs" on the off-chance that may assist Apple's duplicate algorithm to be correct is not gonna happen. If, after the matching/uploading is complete, I still have >even 100-not-duplicate-songs listed as duplicates, I'm getting my $29.95 subscription back.
... and C: does anybody know why Apple's Lion spell check doesn't work on Apple's discussion forums???

  • HT204074 I have a family Apple ID for iTunes and Apps and then two iPhone 5s each which use a personal Apple ID for email and the family Apple ID for iTunes and Apps. Can I use iTunes Match?

I have a family Apple ID associated with my iMac and iPad for iTunes and Apps and then two new iPhone 5s each which use a personal Apple ID for email and the family Apple ID for iTunes and Apps. Can I use iTunes Match on the iPhones given there are two Apple IDs "loaded" on the iPhone?

Can I get iTunes match without a credit card number

    You cannot...
Note: You may use store credit to pay for your iTunes Match subscription however a valid payment method must still be on file at the time of sign up.

  • This Device is already associated with an Apple ID after subscribed iTune match.

Since subscribed iTune match, I cannot listen to my music although I enabled iTune Match for my iPad2. Instead, it always displayed "This Device Is Already Associated With An Apple ID. You can use iTunes Match on this device with just one apple ID every 90 days. This device can be used with another Apple ID in 75 days." I only pressed "OK".
Who could help me or give me suggestions about that.
    Thanks.

Well, that's a bummer.  I guess Apple thinks no one ever travels.  I live in 2 countries and thus have 2 different accounts with 2 different credit cards.  Now that iTunes match deleted my entire catalogue on my iPad 2 because I signed in with my second country account yesterday to buy an App.  I resigned into my first country account today only to have everything deleted.  No I have to wait a few weeks to put my music back on my iPad until I return to my first country and transfer it from my Mac.  Argh!

  • ITunes Match "Unknown" Error

I wanted to upload some songs my match, but it wouldn't let me, so I found an article online telling me to delete my "apple.com" cookies then signed back into my account but it would constantly ask me to sign in, and it would't stop asking me to, even though my password was correct. So now my computer does not let me sign into my match.
    Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10

I had this problem also and tried a few more troubleshooting steps (none of which worked), but they might help someone.
Sign out of Apple Id in iTunes, then sign back in
Turn on iTunes Match <-- didn't work, still had 4010 error
Turn off/on iTunes Match while holding the Option Key <-- didn't work, still had 4010 error
    Quit iTunes
Go into Finder -> Music and rename the "iTunes" folder to "iTunes Backup"
Hold down Option key while clicking on the iTunes icon to start it (this asks you to create a new iTunes library)
Created a new iTunes folder (Music -> iTunes)
Sign into Apple Id in iTunes, then turn on iTunes Match while holding the Option Key <-- didn't work, still had 4010 error
Physically walk to another iMac and sign into iTunes and turn on iTunes Match while holding the Option Key <-- didn't work, still had 4010 error
At this point, after having tested on multiple iMacs, I figured that the problem was not with my local iTunes, but something larger (on Apple's end).
Apparently, if you can't access iTunes Match on multiple computers, then the problem could be with your account and you will need to contact Apple Support.  I ended up describing my situation on the support page here - https://getsupport.apple.com/, and had them call me.  I spoke to Anastasia and she had to bump me up to another technician, Brandon.  He suggested that I delete the Album from iTunes...but alas, I cannot get access to the album to delete it without iTunes Match working.
Brandon finally spoke with an Engineer and they said that the issue was on my Apple Id Account and that they'd have to place the account into troubleshooting mode (which means giving Apple access to your account) so that they could figure out the problem.  Of course, I wanted this fixed, so I let them.  I'll hear back in 3-4 days what the engineers find.

  • Itunes match. says error 4010

I have been trying to get my itunes match to work for a really long time.  there was a time that it was on and then i got a window saying to long out and then log back in.  after I logged back in, I have been getting the error 4010. and that it cannot connect to store.

Yes, but does it work the next time you add to your library?
If I do all the steps (sign in, turn off, sign out, reset, sign out, quit, open, shake, repeat) I can sometimes get iTunes Match to work ONCE, I think. But then it fails with some random error message (4001, 4002, 4010, 3132, etc) the next time it runs. It basically makes it useless, and sometimes it seems to screw up iTunes as well, with things I've bought downloading a second time, or the program hanging.
This need to work. Why hasn't Apple addressed this problem? It's obvious a lot of people are having it.

  • Can not download iTunes Match songs on my Mac. iPhone, iPad work fine.

I can not download iTunes Match songs on my Mac. It gives an error stating that only one Apple ID can be used at a time with iTunes Match and asks me to wait 72 days until I can download any songs!? Tried to turn off iTunes Match in an attempt to reset it. And now I can't turn it back on. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm pretty sure the songs will need to be physically present on the computer you are syncing the Nano with, but I'm not 100% sure.
Edit: I just attempted to sync music that I have stored in the iCloud, but not written on my harddrive to an iPod Classic and it only syncs the music that is present on the computer. I tried to grab a few iCloud file and throw it on the iPod, but I had to download them before it would work.
So, yes. You do have to have the files already downloaded to sync to a non iOS 5 iDevice.

  • Can't activate iTunes Match on iOS devices.

I subscribed to iTunes Match on my PC, but I can't get iTunes Match turned on in my iOS devices. In Settings > Music, there is only a "subscribe to iTunes Match" option instead of the option to simply turn iTunes Match on. What is wrong? All devices are authorized under the same Apple ID and software/OS is up to date.

Looks like I got it working.
I logged out of iTunes, rebooted the device, and signed in again. Then the toggle that turned on iTunes Match appeared.

  • I can't find iTunes match on my iPad to be able to delete songs from cloud

i want to remove songs on iCloud from my iPad.i read somewhere that enabling iTunes match will help.but I can't find iTunes match on iPad. My Hat do I need to do?

You can hide iTunes purchased songs from the cloud via your computer's iTunes : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases - Apple Support
iTunes Match isn't available in all countries, and you need iOS 7+ to be able to subscribe to it on an iPad - and you can only upload your own music to it from a computer's iTunes, not from the Music app on an iPad

Let me save you a load of grief. Login to My Verizon http://www.verizonwireless.com the log in to your account. Click on Pay Bill you then can add the new credit card via the edit feature or just as an add new payment method.
It is very easy. The 12 digit name or number I can not even guess. For your payment to verizon you give each account you set up a name. that may be what its looking for. Just set up a new payment method. then go back in and delete the old payment method. Verizon will delete the method you don't use in 6 months.
    Good luck
