Can't successfully get Apache2, Mysql adn PHP5 installed preoperly.

Hello All,
For the past month I have been trying to get a webserver up and running on my Solaris 10 server. I want to use Joomla to design and impliment the webpage and I know I need Apache2, Mysql and php5. It seems as if it would be fairly simple ut for some reason I can get apache2 running and MySQL, however, when I try to finish it off with PHP5 I cant get it to work. I can install it successfully with a package install. when that didnt work I read to attempt compiling and installing from source. This fails during the compile. I have tried a few suggestion and procedures all of which have failed. Does anyone know of a work around or a good working procedure for successfully installing this software on a Solaris platform?? Thanks in advance.

I would persevere with PHP packages, posting any issues you find.

I can no longer get the column view since installing 12.0.1.26. The only thing my iTunes for PC will not display the column view of songs any more  The only thing I have access to is the view that displays the album covers. I used the Help function, followed the procedure several times.  When I click on the music icon, the icon flashes, but does not bring up a menu as shown in the "help" file.

    1) reset the iPad. Hold power home button until screen goes black, apple logo appears-release
    2) delete the app, reinstall.
    3) wait for an update to the app

  • Why can't I get 10.8.4 to install?

So for about the past month, I've been trying to get the latest update of Mac OS 10.8.4 to install on my MacBook Pro.  Whenever I hit update in the app store, the update downloads and then I hit restart computer to install the update.  Every single time, my Mac restarts but the update never installs.  It is like the computer forgets to install it and just does a regular restart.  Do you guys know of any fixes to get this update to install?

  • Can't successfully install Oracle10g (get into SQLPLUS)

I just downloaded oracle10g. gave it a password at installation.
ran the installation. couldn't log on to SQL PLUS because the
configuration assistants did not run successfully at installation.
uninstalled it. re-installed it. Got the exact same error, (after
disabling the antivirus before installation). I am using windows
xp professional. I am the system administrator. I need to have
a set of instructions for this process, or otherwise I will refuse
to use oracle software, because I will not tolerate having indefinite
dialogs with the support people, because this eats up all of my
    time alloted for writing programs.

Loopback Adapter might not be required if your PC has a static IP address.
But because so many home PCs have internet connections from Comcast, Time Warner (etc.) they usually have dynamic addresses.
Oracle needs to use the same address all the time. Loopback Adapter is like a "soft" Ethernet card where you can assign your own address. You don't need to download anything, it's already on your machine. You just need to enable it and configure it. I don't recall how I set mine up (did it years ago). Do some searches in these forums, it's not difficult.
But that may not be your problem. You didn't post what errors you were getting, so it may be something else entirely.
And be sure to read the installation guide that "oradba" linked to.

  • Can't get php mysql to work with DW CC2014

Even though I opened the WAMP server first and can see my database it will not connect to DW.
    The error is:
    MySQL Error#: 2002
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
    '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'2
Have attempted to follow instructions in Adobe support pages but it doesn't deal with this.
I am using Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer.
All I am trying to do is create a Registration page for now.  If I can connect I then hope to move on to Log In, etc. Please help!

Yes, I did that first, nowhere does it deal with errors and how to correct them.
I started over again numerous times following step by step on several YouTube vids trying to see what I might be misconstruing.
However, I am still stuck and cannot move forward until I can connect. Or can I? I don’t even know that for sure.

I have tried several times to install iTunes update 11.1.4 on my PC.  I get a message saying that install was not successful and an error message of MSVCR80.dll not present, Error 7, (Windows error 126).  I am told to reinstall iTunes, but nothing changes.  What next?  I've not had this problem with other updates requested by Apple.

I have also had the same problem with my Win 7 32 bit computer.  I had great help from Apple techs in Montreal and Orlando for 2.5 hours.  They helped me remove every trace of Apple products and clean the registry in two different ways.  Each install gave the same problem!  If Apple techs can't fix it (on some of our machines) then we are really in trouble.  They promised to raise it with the "engineers" and get back to me with a solution.  I am waiting and hoping.  Otherwise maybe version 11.1.5 will have a fix ??

  • How can I successfully download Photoshop Elements 7.0?

Sorry if there is a question like this already.
I got a new laptop today. I downloaded all my software and transferred my files. However I have been unsuccessful to download Photoshop Elements 7. I have the disk and I have it installed in my old laptop. I have not had a problem with installing it before aside from it taking too long now and then.It always stops downloading when it is installing the background pictures. It specifically stops when it is installing the Grass Mat. jpeg or the Hand Made Paper01.jpeg.
I get the error message "error 1305. Error reading from file C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\7.0\Photo Creations\backgrounds\ (Grass Mat.jpeg/Hand Made Paper01.jpeg). Verify if the file exists and that you can access it."
I followed the troubleshoot Adobe offers for this error without success. When I tried to install it from my desktop, but the file Data1 or something couldn't be copied because my laptop could not read it. I tried taking out the disk and putting it in again, I tried manually downloading from 'Computer', and I have also temporarily turned off my anti-virus protection.
I have only fixed the error once the first time when I clicked on the jpeg file it requested (though no photo could be shown so I guess no access?) , but then it got stuck on another jpeg. I need help! I really would love to have this installed.

Elements 7 is an ancient version but there is a download link available here

You must follow the Very Important Instructions on that site first before you click the download links.
Alternatively you can upgrade to the current version Elements 12 for US$79.99.

The first step in Upgrading... is to Snow Leopard = OS X 10.6.x
It is Not available as a download... It is a Paid Upgrade.
    Do this first...
Check that your Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...
Snow Leopard Tech Specs  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
If so... Purchase a Snow Leopard Install Disc...

After the Successful Install, run Software Update to get the latest updates for Snow Leopard and iTunes.

Intel iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I've just done a clean install of OSX Server and added the latest MYSQL packaged installer. Afterwards I found the lock file in /private/tmp/mysql.lock
The easiest way to solve this problem is to create a symbolic link so that the lock file appears to be in right place.
    e.g.
    cd /var
sudo mkdir mysql <== this assumes the directory is missing
    cd mysql
    sudo ln -s /private/tmp/mysql.sock mysql.sock
After this msql commands should work fine, and you've not fiddled with the security settings on users/groups.

  • "Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'"

    Data Services=3.1
    Repository=12.2.2.0000
    Red Hat Enterprise 5
    Designer,Job Server,Job Engine=12.2.2.3
After an unscheduled server reboot with DS up and running when trying to start a job in either Data Services Management Console or DS Designer getting the following:
"Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'"
The mysql.sock have never been in /tmp and on the production server it does not exist there and the production server is up and running correctly. If a link is created to mysql.sock(/home/user/boedge31/bobje/mysql) the job will start but return this message:
"Cannot retrieve <Version> from the repository. Additional database information: <SQL submitted to ODBC data source <localrepo> resulted in error <MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver mysqld-5.0.46-enterprise No database selected>. The SQL submitted is <select VERSION, SECURITYKEY, GUID from AL_VERSION where NAME = 'Repository Version'"
I checked and AL_VERSION and the Version field exist.
Before the shut down DS was working correctly and had no issues.  My best guess is a part of the repository was corrupted during the unscheduled shut down.  It seems like DS has "forgotten" some of the settings.
Any suggestions on a possible solution?

    The issue has been solved.
There was a bad path in $LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
Removed the path and DS started working again.

Try installing the Epson drivers from here:

and then seeing if adding and printing with USB works.
This site really works and my computer is now printing.
