Can't sync a new ringtone to phone
I'm trying to add a new ringtone to my iphone 4s with ios 7 installed. I purchased a song from itunes, converted it to an m4r file after having trimmed the song to appropriate lenght. It now shows up as a ringtone in the library's tones, all by itself. I cannot figure out how to get it onto my phone along with the other (3) ringtones I created some time ago. Those show up grayed out under my phone's tones when plugged into my computer. Syncing back and forth isn't working. Why is this so difficult?
In your contacts list, tap on a contact. Tap Edit and in the Ringtone option, select the ringtone that you want to be applied.

I am on vacation and am trying to download a different ringtone to my iPhone but since my home computer is a desktop and at home I am on my dad's computer and want to know if it is possible to sync a ringtone to my iPhone through my dad's computer. When I open up iTunes it is his library and I know there is no way to access my library but i downloaded the ringtone to his library and don't know what will happen if I try to sync. I don't want to because I don't know if it will put his information and music and apps on my phone and put all of my iPhone stuff on his computer. If you sync with his it will erase everything you put on your iPhone from your desktop computer and replace it with everything from your dad's computer.
I'd recommend waiting until you get home. -
I've just updated my iPhone to the 4.3.5. update, and I now can't sync any new music, ringtones, photos etc. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

You can transfer apps from the ipad. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to the new one. -

Additional options for syncing include syncing your contacts with Yahoo or Gmail/Google Mail. You will need to configure it with the user name and password for your Yahoo or Google account.

You can get Leopard 10.5 by calling the Apple Online store.
Tell them you purchased a new iPhone and need 10.5 because you have a PPC Mac and cannnot run 10.6.. -

Ok.
Open System Preferences, Apple Logo icon in the menu bar and then System Preferences or the Sys Pref iocon in the Dock and go to the Internet Accounts area and look at your iCloud account. It should list what is and isn't synced by a checkmark next to each item.
Also in the Contacts app click on Contacts in the menu bar and select Preferences then accounts and make sure your iCloud account is listed. You can also do that from the Internet Accounts area in System Preferences. -

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content. -
Switched from ipod to ipod touch. When trying to sync, songs get lost. Songs show in the library and playlist but get a message that says songs cannot be found. An exclamation symbol with a circle aroung it shows on the missing songs. How can I sync the new ipod touch?

I found the following information that should resolve the issue:
To repair an iPod disk—Restore the iPod or iPod shuffle using the latest version of iTunes.
Warning: Be sure to back up your data before restoring an iPod. The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted.

I'm also having this problem.
In fact two things have stopped working with my iPhone recently.
1. iTunes no longer launches automatically when I plug in my iPhone to my iMac.
2. The iPhone Notes app has stopped syncing via USB lead between the iPhone and the iMac.
I have tried closing applications, and rebooting both the iPhone and iMac, but this makes no difference.
I'm running OS X 10.6.8 on my iMac.
My iPhone is a 3G running iOS 4.2.1
Can anyone help? -

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause
