Can't sync calendar - Zire 72s

Hi
I've reinstalled the operational system (Windows XP Professional) in my computer and since then I've been trying to synchronize my palm (Zire 72s).
I'm using the palm desktop 4.1.4 and when I try to sync, it starts ok, running until the calendar. Then the operation remains here, apparently synchronizing, but doesn't go ahead. More than once I waited hours and nothing happened.
I've even tried to uninstall, doing the clean of the old registry as indicated at a forum's post, and reinstalled the previous version of the Palm desktop (at the CD). Then I  brought the old data which I had a back up. The calendar's data which came from the backup file appeared at the desk top. After that I tried again to synchronize and the same happened.
I changed the sync's configuration and just the calendar doesn't sync. I even tried the option "handheld overwrite desktop" just for the calendar data, but it doesn't work as well.
It seems that the problem is with the calendar. Can you help me please?
Thanks in advance
Arnaldo

Most likely a corruption of the records on the device itself.
Try installing DBFixit from pimlicosoftware.com.  The free trial will search and report on errors found in the Calendar.  It will fix some for free, but others may require purchasing the program.
Your other option is to Hard Reset the device, and start over again cleanly.

  • Since I down loaded Mavericks I can't sync calendars with iPhone. How can I sync iPhone calendar and Mac calendar

Since I downloaded Mavericks on my Mac I can't sync calendars with iphone. How can I sync iphone calendars with Mac calendar?

    Mavericks syncs Calendar via iCloud.
Make sure you have the same iCloud account set up on your mac and your iPhone.
In System Preferences > iCloud, make sure the Calendars checkbox is checked.
In System Preferences > Internet Accounts, iCloud should be an account in the box on the left, and Calendars should be checked in the box on the right. If you have other calendars, for example, from work, make sure those are enabled too.
Check the same settings on your iPhone: in Settings > iCloud, make sure the same iCloud account info is present and that the Calendars slider is on. in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, make sure the iCloud account is present, and that the Calendars slider is on.

HHelp can't sync Calendar.  It hangs with error -"403" to operation CalDAVMigrateToServerQueueableOperation

    Hello, workhorse.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Try removing the preference to sync calendar events in iCloud preferences.  Once this is done enable the preference again and see if this resolves the issue.
Turn iCloud Calendars off and back on:
    Quit Calendar (or iCal).
Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then select iCloud.
Deselect the checkbox next to Calendars.
Close System Preferences and wait about a minute.
Open System Preferences and select iCloud.
Replace the checkmark next to Calendars.
    Close System Preferences.
Open Calendar (or iCal) and test to see if the issue is resolved.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it reinitializes your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
If the issue persists, try all remaining steps in the article below.

  • I can't sync Calendars after upgrading to 1.2

I've just upgraded my iTunes to version 7 and my 5th Gen iPod to version 1.2.
Before this I could sync the calendar in Outlook quite happily (I always got a warning from my security software first)
Now it says that it is unable to sync the Calendar.
What do I need to change to get this to work ?
      Windows XP

I've had the same problem since upgrading to v. 7 of itunes and a host of other problems have also appeared. My events on the calendar have been wiped out on my iPod and I have been unable to sync to get them back.
On frequently asked questions I found this possible answer which is cut and pasted below. I think we may not be able to synch Outlook anymore because it says to open up and drag, not sync, but other calendars might work. What is going on, Apple? I need a patch soon.

Question: How do I update my calendar on my iPod?
Answer: iTunes can automatically transfer calendar data stored in iCal to your iPod. To enable syncing of your iCal calendars:
    1. Open iTunes and connect your iPod to your computer.
    2. Select the iPod icon in the source pane of iTunes.
    3. Click the Contacts tab.
    4. Enable the "Sync iCal calendars" checkbox.
iPod also supports industry-standard iCalendar and vCalendar files, which can be exported by many applications including Microsoft Entourage, Microsoft Outlook, and Palm Desktop. iCal also works with the iPod calendar. Simply drag your iCalendar or vCalendar files to your iPod, and you can access your calendar even when you are away from your computer.

  • How can I sync calendars between my mac, iphone and android phone

I use an iPhone as my primary phone, but do travel alot and need to have a secondary phone with a local SIM card when I travel. For this reason, I am considering buying an android phone. One of my major concerns though, is how would I be able to (if possible at all) sync calendars and contacts between all the devices. Today with iCloud I can get the iCloud syncing between my iMac, Macbook Pro, iPad and iPhone. When I introduce an android device, I am going to have to bring in Google calendars as well, so how do I get my iCal calendars to automatically sync to google calendars without having to creat duplicate calendars or without having to basically migrate to using only google calendars? Same goes for the contacts?

On your Mac and iPad, turn off iMessage.

  • ITunes says it can't sync calendar b/c calendar on iPod is in use.

Hi all.  I'm stumped.  I just got a new iPod Touch.  I was able to sync my contacts (and everything else) through iTunes on my MacBook, but I got an error message about the calendar: "iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPod 'iPod Touch' because the calendars are in use by the iPod.  Close the calendars setting on the iPod and try again."  The problem is, I don't have the calendar open on the iPod, and don't see where I could close it in any case.
Then, I thought I would just enter things manually onto the calendar, but I can't do that either, as there's no + sign and no way to enter/add anything.
I've googled around about this and seen people saying to turn on the calendar in iCloud.  But when I do that, it just crashes.  It says it's starting to merge and then crashes, sometimes instantly, sometimes after a minute. I can't use iCloud for now anyway because my MacBook is running Snow Leopard, and I'm not planning to upgrade to Lion until I get a new computer.
I've been syncing my first generation iPod Touch to my MacBook for almost 4 years now with no difficulties.  And, as I said, the contacts and everything else worked fine.  It's just the calendar, which I really need to be able to update.  I tried to sync it with my Outlook calendar at work, just to see what would happen, and I got the same error message.
Ideally, I'd like a fix that will allow me to sync it with either iCal on my MacBook or with my Outlook calendar on my work computer.  In any case, I need to be able to update it manually but don't know how to get the + sign back.
    Any assistance would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Sue

You will need to Restore the device...

  • Can I sync calendar with anything other than Outlook?

I have a PC running Windows XP, and Microsoft Office 2000, with no desire to upgrade since I infrequently use it. But as I understand it, iPhone does not sync with Office 2000. So I can't sync my calendar with Outlook on my computer. Is there anything else (an app?) that I can use. I have heard about Google calendar, but I understand that syncing there would erase what is currently in my iPhone calendar, which I don't want to do.
    Thanks,
    David

    hello,
if you look at the Desktop Software page on the blackberry.com website, there is a section called "requirements" and in that section you have a paragraph with the list of PC software against which you can do a synchronization.
apart from PC software, you can also synchronize with GMail Contacts, Google Calendar, Yahoo!Mail and probably some other like facebook contacts, facebook events.
The search box on top-right of this page is your true friend, and the public Knowledge Base too:

  • Can I sync calendars from two different apple accounts

How do I, or can I, sync my calendar (my apple/icloud account) with my wife's calendar (her apple/icloud account).
Its annoying having to always confirm with each other every time we enter something into our own calendars. It would be much easier if I could see what she has added, and if she could see what I have added.
    Thanks for your help

On the iCloud web page you can share each of your calendars with one-another. No way to sync them.
You can also set up sharing from Calendar. Ctrl-click on the calendar and pick Share Calendar.

She can certainly share it with you (I'm assuming you have different AppleIDs adn are both using iCloud).

If your profile is correct, you don't have iCloud. iCloud only comes with OS X 10.7.2 or better.

How can I sync all calendars, like mac book, iPhone, and iPad ?

Set up the same iCloud account on all of your devices, then turn calendar syncing to On.  This article explains how to set up iCloud on your iOS devices and your Mac: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/.  You will have to be running OS X Lion (10.7.2) or higher on your Mac and iOS 5 or higher on your iOS devices in order to do this.
