Can't sync contacts with OVI Suite

I am using Nokia 5800 firmare 50, Nokia Ovi Sute 2.2.0.245 and MS Outlook 2003
when I am starting contacts sync between phone and Outlook in Ovi it start using a lot of memory (see first screenshot) then stop using RAM but still use Virtual memory (see second screenshot)
during this time i can't use my computer because it's too slow
after 5-10 minutes Ovi Suite is crashing with error (screenshot in attachment)

Could you please try the following steps, hopefully that helps:
In fact the problem seems to be a windows 7 registry problem. In the end I found the solution here (on a post related to itunes - but if anyone interested follows the thread they'll see that moving to the latest version of itunes presents exactly the same hang as trying to intall OVI - http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7programs/thread/f4dd5033-9bcb-4788-b100-5e98bd80f...)
If you can't be bothered to follow the link/read the entire post - what you have to do is:
1) Open regedit and replace the following value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\
Key: RegistrySizeLimit
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 0xFFFFFFFF (4294967295)
2) Reboot
Show appreciation by clicking the kudos star :-), or gesture by typing thanks

N97: Can't sync contacts with Ovi Suite

Everytime my N97 is connected to my PC via Bluetooth or USB, everything is syncing fine, except for the contacts.
I already updated to the most recent Ovi Suite version, but it's still not working.
When trying a manual sync, by clicking on "sync contacts" on the ovi suite, I am getting an error message:
Sync cancelled
Could not continue syncing
Reconnect the USB cable to your device or connect via Bluetooth. Then try syncing again.
Any ideas?

Can't sync N8 with OVI Suite after Anna update

Have a strange problem. OVI Suite sees my N8 and I can update programs and OS on it.
But when I try to sync contact or messages it either closes or gives an error.
Also it can't connect to maps server (but that is and old problem, long time since worked).
Hav tried complete uninstall (and cleaning files and registry).
And have tried both USB and BT (both sees phone all right).
Can also browse phone memory in Explorer.
See enclosed images for errors. Any ideas?

I have found the root cause for the crash of Nokia Suite 3.2.100 while synchronizing N9 calendar with Outlook
Basically Outlook synchronization with N9 is working for contacts, gallery, messages, notes.
I had the situation that calendar synchronization ended in crash of the Nokia Suite. The root cause was that after first synchronization some time ago a new calendar PC-SYNC was created on the N9. Due to whatever reason this calendar caused a conflict during the synchronization and the Nokia Suite crashed.
I have deleted this calendar on the N9 and tried to synchronize the Original N9 calendar again..... and it worked.... Now again there is a new PC-SYNC available on the N9 but it doesn't cause problems anymore... Synced N9 calendar with Outlook several times and the crash didn't reoccur....
Looks like the issue is solved now :-)

Can't sync contact with my MBP

Dear All,
My MBP is osx 10.6.8 and iPhone4 5.1.1
Last week my iphone can't sync contacts with MBP, it sync with my gmail contacts!
I try to reset my iphone and sync again, but it can't work.
Only contacts have problem, calender is work fine.
Anyone know how to fix this?

i got oultook notes to sync with my iphone 5 thru itunes. iphone imports the notes but disregards the categories, so the notes come out sorted by date created; however, you could do a search.

Can't sync contacts with Blackberry phone after migration to iCloud. The only way to do is to have a local copy of address book. What else can I do (before BB will fix the bug)?

Ah! This explains why I have been tearing my hair out for the past 24 hours trying to get my contacts from Address Book to my new BB Torch!
I found a workaround for a one-time sync:
1. go into Address Book prefs and temporarily change Default account from iCloud to On My Mac (this makes the "All on My Mac" category visible)
2. Go back into your contacts window, select all of your contacts, and copy them to All on My Mac (this will create duplicates of everything)
3. Sync the BB.
3. Return to prefs to change default account back to iCloud, and select all the contacts in All on My Mac and delete them, thereby removing all duplicates.
This solution only works for a one-time sync and needs to be repeated for future syncs.
Let's hope BB comes up with an iCloud compatible update ASAP!

N97 mini: Can't transfer music with ovi suite!

Someone please help! every time i try and transfer music with ovi suite it says "can't read tracks" anyone know how to fix this?

Depending on how much time you want to spend, there are a couple of methods. Before putting music on phone, get it up in Windows media player, then drag and drop album art onto the album picture at left hand side of screen. Then right click on a track and select advanced tag editing, and click pictures, the photo you drag and dropped should be there. If you want individual pictures for each track you can add from here ( but you would need to do this on phone also.
On the phone select an album, select options, select album art, select change, pick a picture (the album cover) select ok, ok wait and thats it. You also have album art choice in the options of each individual track, but will need more photo's in gallery to use different ones.

Help!! Can't sync contacts with Desktop Software

Has anyone figured out how to get around the error message that says you can't sync contacts because it can't access the database? I have un-installed PocketMac and the desktop software, and then re-installed it, but it still will not sync. My address book also doesn't show up in the applications. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Sync N97 contacts with Ovi Suite 2.0 & Outlook XP

Hello folks,
I just upgraded Ovi Suite from v1.1 to 2.0 and went to resync my N97 (now at v2.0 firmware). Ovi Suite contacts sync ok with the N97 but the Contacts aren't syncing wiith Outlook XP (Calendar and Notes sync ok). Is therer a way to keep all three in sync automatically?

Similar issue faced by me as well.. not all the tracks was transferred on the first sync.. so I manually copied them to device. But tried the second time, this time I deleted all the songs in device and transferred using Ovi suite, surprisingly it worked this time

Sync Issues with OVI Suite 3.1.0.91

I recently upgraded to OVI 10.1.0.91. I am using an N8. The previous version was working perfectly but since upgrading all my calendar entries are duplicated. I tried to change the settings but it keeps on doing that. Has someone else exprienced this?

Hi, I just got an N8 so having to use OVI as N8 will not work with PC Suite. I hate it nothing works properly or easily! Now I'm getting the same issue on Sync its showing between 3 - 10 duplicated entries. Its not even uniform duplications some are 3, some are 5, 8 & 10! I have deleted the other 2 Calendars listed in OVI in case it was them & hidden the other 2 on the phone & turned off the Sync till I can figure out what's going on or until someone can tell me how to correct it!
Never had a problem with PC Suite - it just updated NEW items be they photo's, video's, calendar entries etc for years with my N95 (8G), had this phone for less than a week with OVI & I'm regretting it already, it seems to be absolute rubbish.

IPad can't sync contacts with iCloud

I need some help.... I have an iMac running Mtn Lion (10.8.2) and an iPad3 (6.0.1) and I'm trying to sync the two in iCloud. Contacts are giving me a headache. I've got the contacts into iCloud so I went to iTunes, clicked on the iPad and went to "info". Thought everything was OK but no contacts (actually there are a couple) on the IPad. Went back to iTunes and clicked on the iPad. went to "info" and now there is no box to check next to "Sync Contacts" and the message in the box says "Your contacts are being synced with you iPad over the air from iCloud" and "Over-the-air sync settings can be changed on your iPad." My contacts are syncing (iPad) with iCloud and I can't figure out to get the check box back so I can choose to sync my contacts. I know there are other threads out there with similar questions but I couldn't find anything that helped me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I sync my iPhone 4 with my computer, it says it can't sync with my Yahoo account (as it has been for the past year) because I don't have an internet connection. I have wireless interent connection and I've checked everything - it's hooked up and I've tried to close out programs, restart etc. I have the latest iTunes version on my computer. OK, sounds like you are using Yahoo to store your contacts. If you're having a problem with this, it is highly likely it is on Yahoo's end since they often have server issues, but two things you can try:
If you're currently on wi-fi, turn that off and see if you can access your contacts via 3G.
Try deleting the Yahoo account off your iPhone and re-create it.
Last week my Yahoo account was acting buggy and didn't get resolved until I did both (turned off wi-fi, then deleted and re-created the account over 3G).

I can only Syn contacts on my outlook 2010 cannot syn Calender, have unistalled and reinstalled, mobileMe, Outlook 2010 and icloud, I keep getting an error message saying "need a valid email addrass in outlook" I do have a valid Hotmail email addrass have also created a @me email account, still cannot sync calender. I have an Imac PC with win7.

Why are you running Mobile Me? calendars and contacts are no longer available there, your Hotmail address may be OK for an Apple ID but wion't work for email in iCloud,
Outlook is dreadful anyhow, use emClient for iCloud.
