  • Hot sync from Palm TX to desktop

I have a new Palm TX and it keeps changing the time of my appointments on the desktop to an hour later than I enter.  My handheld is correct, but the desktop shows the appointments an hour later.  What can I do?

Check to make sure the time on your computer is correct - now that we are in daylight savings time, it could very well be that your computer time is wrong.
You should see the current time displayed on the bottom right of your computer screen. If the time there is wrong, you can change it by double-clicking on it. A box will come up with a calendar and clock which you can update.

  • How do I sync from iPhone back to desktop to recover lost bookmarks?

I have Firefox 6.0.2 on my Mac laptop and on an old PC. I run the Firefox app on my iPhone. I left the account activated on my old PC and when my kids changed the bookmarks toolbar on the old PC they deleted all my work bookmarks folders - stuff I've taken years to acquire.
Can I sync from my iPhone to the mac laptop in order to recover those folders or will I have to go to an old backup to recover them? If so, what file am I looking for on the backup drive for 6.0.2's bookmarks?

    Hi!
Unfortunately this is not possible at this stage. Firefox Home is just a receiver, and the way it works doesn't allow any type of information upload.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Can i sync from itunes online

can i sync from online itunes?

If the videos are iPad compatible, you need to download them to computer then copy over to iTunes. After that connect iPad to iTunes with the video selected, click Sync button.

  • Can you sync from iPhone to PC?

Can you sync from iPhone 3GS to PC, instead of the other way 'round?

The syncing of iTunes content is a one way transfer process only - from iTunes on your computer, or from your iPhone to your iTunes library on your computer the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after purchasing/downloading music, video, or 3rd party apps with your iPhone.
iTunes content is not kept synchronized but is part of the iTunes sync/transfer process. Photos transferred from your compute to your iPhone via the iTunes sync/transfer process are not kept synchronized either. The transfer of photos is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone.
The only bi-directional or true sync process is for contacts, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks with the supported applications on your computer. The same for notes if you are using a supported application on your computer for syncing notes.
In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only, and photos can be transferred from a single computer only. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first. You can sync contacts, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks with the supported applications on multiple computers.
You need to transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer along with all other important data that you will need or want to access on your new computer such as photos, documents, etc. All iTunes content is stored in an iTunes named folder. With iTunes quit on your new computer, place the copy of the iTunes named folder from your old computer in the appropriate location for access by iTunes on your new computer. You will also need to authorize your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only. First you need to authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes. With your iPhone connected to iTunes and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
The iPhone is not designed or intended to be used as a backup storage device or as a storage device to transfer data from one computer to another.

  • Can i sync my palm with ical when I already have been using palm desktop??

i started syncing my palm to palm desktop but is there a way to use ical instead of palm desktop and still sync it?? is it isync??? i tried it but a bluetooth message came up...confused??

The Palm Desktop will not interact directly with iCal or an iPod Touch—or, any other iPod—at all.
To transfer your contacts to the Address Book, export them as a vCard file from the Palm Desktop and double-click the file to import it into the Address Book. To transfer your events to iCal, export them as a vCal file and double-click the file to import it into iCal.
There is no way to transfer either tasks or memos from the Palm Desktop to iCal or any other Apple-provided application: only contact and event data can be exported into a form supported by the Address Book and iCal.

I would try resetting the PIM Conduit. To do this, on your PC, go to Start > Programs > Palm > PIM Conduit Sync.. Click sync to Palm Desktop.
After that go back to Start > Programs > Palm > PIM Conduit Sync > and click on Outlook this time.
Try syncing and let me know what happens. I have a feeling that either something isn't right in where the data is being told to go or right now Palm Desktop is your default handler. Either way, try this and let me know if it resolves your issue or not.

  • Help! Can I sync my Palm Desktop with Outlook Web Access?? I'm using a T5 -- NOT wireless, but cable-synced

I have spent the last 3+ weeks trying to get my Palm Desktop information to sync with an Outlook Web Access account.
I have been able to sync my Palm Desktop info with Outlook 2007, and I have been able to acess an Outlook Web Access account through a microsoft exchange server.
BUT, when I talk with tech support.... I get several conflicting answers.  One tech says it should be easily possible; one says I need to buy another monthly service; one says it is impossible and I should just buy a Blackberry.
At this point.... I'm not sure I actually care what the answer is, but I would just like a definitive answer....
    I have a Palm Tungsten T5.
I want to sync that Contact and Calendar information regularly with an Outlook Web Access account so that my colleagues can see and edit my schedule as needed.... then the info would sync BACK to my Palm so that I can have my current schedule with me.
Can anyone shed some light on this please??
    Thank you!
    Emily Koenig
    Post relates to: Tungsten T5

    The short answer is no.
The t-5 has the ability to connect to an exchange server but the version of versamail it has would only sync mail and calendar. You would have to have a wifi card to be able to do even that. To do what you would want you would need to upgrade the versamail client (I don't believe Palm has an upgrade for the T-5) and a wifi card.

Sync your Palm to MS Outlook. When you connect the iPhone it will then sync with Outlook and suck in your calendar and contacts (but not ToDos and memos).
For Outlook sync (if you don't do it now) you can reinstall Palm Desktop and choose to sync to Outlook instead. Or go to www.chapura.com and download Pocket Mirror. switchsync (http://www.livepim.com/switchsync/) also has tools to do this.

  • One-Way sync from Palm to iBook?

Wiped my address book with a crashed sync, but the data remains on my Palm device (Treo 650). Anyone know how to setup a one-way sync from the Treo back into the iBook? Thanks, M

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
You should first try to correct the problem by dragging the AddressBook.data file out of your Address Book folder at the end of this path:
    Macintosh HD:Users:<username>:Library:Application Support:Address Book
Duplicate the AddressBook.data.previous file, and rename it simple AddressBook.data and launch the application to see if it can recover your files.
If not, you should understand that there is no easy, quick, painless way to achieve what you want - moving a copy of your handheld data to your Macintosh.
You can restore synchronization to the Palm Desktop, by moving the Apple conduit out of the active Conduits folder, and by moving the following disabled Palm conduits out of the Disabled Conduits folder and back into the active one:
    • Address Conduit
    • Calendar Conduit
    • Contacts Conduit
    • Datebook Conduit
    • Tasks Conduit
    • ToDo Conduit
(Only one of each conduit pair is used by your Treo 650, but these instructions would also apply to users of the older conduits.)
By setting each conduit to Handheld overwrites Macintosh, you will transfer the data on your smartphone to the Palm Desktop, overwriting any existing records by doing so.
You can then export contact data as a vCard file and calendaring data as a vCal file but, here's a problem: you cannot export task or to do data, so in this process, you will lose all of the to do items in iCal. Once you have exported the Palm Desktop data in vCard and vCal format, you can import the contents of each file into the Address Book and iCal, remembering that your vCal file contains only event—and not to do—data.
You can then return the Palm conduits to the Disabled Conduits folder and the iSync Palm Conduit to the active one, and synchronize once again with iSync, choosing to overwrite the contents of your handheld with the data from the Address Book and iCal. Once again, say goodbye to your to do records. You do this by removing your device from iSync and adding it back prior to the next synchronization, causing the framework to act as if you have never synchronized before. Choose Replace (and not Merge) to avoid data duplication errors.
Do you see why periodically backing up Address Book and iCal data is so important? To do so, just select the Back up Address Book in the Address Book or the Back up Database option in iCal.

  • I can't sync my palm with my computer

Hi, I am trying to sync my palm and my computer with no luck.  I have an HP running windows vista 64.  I have tried using the cradle/cable as well as wi-fi.  Nothing seems to work...?   When I try to sync I get the message" The connection between your devicce and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try agian" Also when I try to pick the PC it says" No PCSs were found on your LAN" Please help I am pulling my hair out
    Post relates to: Palm TX

Firenice 86, here's how to HotSync to Vista 64bit (Vista Home Premium) via Wifi with a TX using Palm Desktop 6.2:
    1. Install Palm Desktop 6.2, open the HotSync Manager (little Hotsync icon in the Tool Tray) and choose "Connections".  Select "Network" and uncheck "USB" since it won't work anyway!
    2. Determine your Vista computer's IP address on your network.  This can be found by going to Start Button/All Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt.  A DOS window will now open.  Type the following     ipconfig /all    (there is a space between the g and the /).  A lot of data will pop up.  On my Vista laptop, my IP address is listed as "IpV4 Address - 192.168.x.xxx"  (Your computer may display it differently.)  Write this address down.
    3. Now go to your TX.  Turn on Wifi and connect to your router.  Open the HotSync icon.  Be sure the word "Network" is highlighted over the large Hotsync button in the center, and below it says "Tap to Select PC".  If Network is highlighted and you don't see "Tap to Select PC", then open the pull-down menu (in Hotsync on the TX) and select "Modem Sync Prefs".  Be sure "Network" is selected.  Click OK, and now you should see the "Tap to Select PC".
    4. Tap the box to Select PC, and the Network HotSync Setup screen will open and ask you to tap "Next".  Most likely, the next step will fail (I've never seen it find a computer!). Tap the "Other" button at the bottom to enter your PC's IP address.  (You can try entering the name of the computer on the network, but I've had better success with entering the IP address first.  It will then find the name after a successful HotSync.)
    5. Enter the IP address you wrote down in step #2 above, then tap Next.  Tap Done on the next screen that says "Network Hotsync Setup is complete".
    6. Back at the Hotsync screen, tap the big Hotsync icon in the center and hold on!  Your computer should recognize it and start to Hotsync.

  • LR Mobile 5.6 Desktop: Up sync from DL desktop on Mac to Adobe Photo Cloud does not work, down sync from Cloud to DL desktop works

I have successfully used DL Mobile for some months (currently: some 3+k photos in Adobe's Photo Cloud, in 56 collections).
Some two weeks ago sync on DL desktop went erratic, i.e. sync attempts were always active according to the spinning wheel in the UI, but no sync happened. Right now this has changed to a status of no sync indication on Mac DL desktop whatsoever (no spinning wheel). No upward sync of changes from DL Mac to the Adobe Photo Cloud is happening.
BUT: Up-sync to the Adobe Photo Cloud from iPad works: For example, change results can be seen immediately via browser in Adobe's Cloud collection library. AND, strange enough: the changes from iPad via Cloud are synced down to DL desktop on the Mac as well (without any sync indicator visible on DL desktop though).
What can I do to get back to full functioning?
    Ludwig

Could you please send me a LR Desktop diagnostig log  - best as a private message with a downloadable dropbox link.
You can trigger the log via LR Desktop preferences -> Lightroom Mobile and when you hold down the alt key you will notice a generate diagnostic log button
    Thanks,
    Guido
