Bought a new iPad. Configured it withback uo from an old iPad. When syncing, it is not syncing music from my iTunes library.

Do you have the music selected to sync in iTunes? Do you have Manually Manage Songs and Videos selected as an option in iTunes?

Can't sync music from iTunes onto my new iPhone 4s

I got a new iPhone 4s through work and already have 3 iPod touches at home that sync fine on our Win7 laptop with iTunes. When I plug my new phone into my home laptop and try to drag/drop the music over onto my iPhone icon, it just shows a circle with a slash through it and won't let me sync the music.
No explanation is provided - just the "can't sync" icon. Really frustrating and not at all user friendly!

Just got the Iphone 5, and the music won't sync. Am not a whiz, so be easy on me.

Mine is exactly the same - my tones and ringtone i have bought work - but when i go to sync music it just doesnt work it says synicing does stages 1-4 then stops and the music just doesnt go on, i ve used itunes for years and this problem has only happened since getting my new iphone 5

Basically, plugged in my phone to put a new cd on, and as it started I noticed the 'other' bar was huge and iTunes was saying my phone was 6gb over capacity and was still trying to sync apps I'd deleted a month before, so stopped the process thinking it was damaging my phone.
I then, thinking the phone had backed up, deleted all pictures to make some space and tried to sync again. The same happened.
Next I decided to update the iOS to 6.1 and try again. This is when I started not being able to syncs anything. Music, film, photos, tv shows, nothing.
The sync will start and the phone capacity bar shows will show how much space will be taken up and the sync skips to the end and nothing has been synced. In iTunes in the music view under devices on tje left the files are greyed out with the sync in progress icon next to them.
I have also got a 'connection has been list to the iPhone' error message which I really don't understand as they are connected via USB and the phone is still mounted in iTunes.
Since then I have tried every different connotation of settings through iTunes to no avail. I've backup and restored, I've restored to a new phone but with no results at all.
I have read 20 or discussions on The Apple forums and it seems that loads of slightly different solutions have worked for lots of different people and I also know many people are completely unaffected by this, but I use my phone more as an iPod than phone.
It's proper frustrating, especially when Apple release a software update for iPhone 4S users but not iPhone 4 owners.
Oh and today it also seemed to be flakey in terms 3G connections.
Oh and since Christmas I haven't been able to use home sharing as it won't finish connecting, it just stops!

The release of iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 for my iPhone 4, seems to have sorted everything. I can now sync music, films and photos between my MacBook and my phone.
I was dubious about blindly doing the updates but decided they couldn't really mess up any further functionality so I went for it and it's sorted now.
Look in to, and take the gamble, it's up to you.

I can't sync music from iTunes Library to iPhone

I've just set up my iPhone and whilst the iPhone syncs all my email, calendars etc, it doesn't sync with the music already in my Library. I've tried manually syncing but a 'no entry' sign comes up. I've unchecked all the music, tried almost everything but my iPhone is still saying no content is downloaded.
Can anyone offer some help or assistance please?

Do you have Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and if so, what else is selected under the Music tab?
If you want to manually manage music and videos, this must be selected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. You can transfer music via syncing or manually. You can do one or the other, not both at the same time.

Hello, i've been trying a lot of times but it just don't work. when i open itunes and i connect my iphone it just say "welcome to your new iphone" and it asked me to restore it or configure it like a new iphone, and i dont want that, i just want to sync music.

Syncing music from Itunes on a new PC

I recently bought a new PC (Windows 8) and opened up my itunes account on it. The computer is one of my authorised computers. I also still have the original PC which still contains all the music. I synced my iphone 4S with the new computer and whilst all my music shows on my computer it doesn't all sync with the iphone and I have lost at least half of my music on the phone including all my playlists. I also have an ipad 2 but don't want to sync it until I have found out how to resolve the issue.

When you copied the folder to new computer, did you import all the music?
Or did you simply copy the folder and open iTunes and it was all there?
When you select the iPhone in iTunes amd click the Music tab, is it checked to sync?

(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I downloaded blackberry desktop manager and deleted my pocket mac because I heard it was more user friendly. I can't figure out how to sync my itunes playlists. When I click on MUSIC in the desktop manager it's just blank and I don't see any music there. I've tried everything and am SO very frustrated, please help! I have the most current versions of all the software and I'm using a MAC

Just to make sure, did you install Desktop Manager 6.0?
If so make sure that iTunes is set as the default media library. When the device is connected to your computer go into Device | Device Options then look on the Media tab.

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

Ipad cannot sync music from itunes

My Ipad 3rd generation can't sync music from itunes after i downloaded IOS 7. Can anyone tell me why?

With your iPad connected to your computer, select the music tab. Is "Sync Music" checked? If not, select the box, then choose either all content, or selected etc.. Keep in mind that you can only sync your iPad with one iTunes library at a time. Trying it from multiple notebooks lead me to assume that you don't have the Sync music option checked.
