Can't sync my videos!

Hi, I have a sony cybershot DSC-W55 with 7.2 megapixels... when I connect the camera to my computer all of the photos and videos easily sync with iphoto, where I can view which ever. However, when I open imovie only my photos sync with the program. None of my videos from my cybershot appear nor can be imported. I have no idea what to do! I'm not sure if anyone has had any problems like this, I've heard that I need a program to re-format my videos in order for them to work. I really have no idea what to do.. Any answers?? It sounds like the movies from the Sony are in a file format that iMovie09 doesn't support. (my guess is .AVI format) You can download MPEG Streamclip to convert them to Quicktime movie format which iMovie09 can import.

Can't sync music, videos, apps with homeshare?

We have a simple PC computer. My father has the IPhone 3g, I recently got the IPhone 4 for my birthday in august. Both my mom and my sister has the IPod touch (3rd and 4th generation i think). And whenever I try to put a new song or movie or a app from the main computer, it will not sync to my phone due to homeshare. Itunes says that I have to "deauthorize" my account in order to put a new song/video/etc on my phone due to having 5 computers on homeshare. But the thing is we're confused because My father and I don't think we have 5 computers on homeshare. If I try to authorize my phone to a different computer, it erases all my apps and my songs on my phone. My father is thinking about deauthorizing one of the accounts on our computers, but he is afraid that all of our music, apps, videos, etc in our libary would be erased. Does other people have this kind of problem or a solution towards this problem?

Yes, I guess that's the only option I have. That or manage the music without Match. What I on Earth can't understand is that I'm not able to sync the videos manually, as long as Match is turned on. It seems a tad too locked up in my opinion…

Can't sync home videos to iphone 5, iTunes 11.1.4

Hi,
For some reason, after successfully doing this many times (I already have some home videos on my iphone 5), when I sync a 7 minute home video in 720p H264 quicktime movie format from itunes to my iphone 5, it does not appear on the iphone 5 under videos. I have got manual sync enabled so that I can check only specific video files I want to sync.
I have already tried:
- checking all video types in the video app and it doesn't appear
- changing the video type in 'get info' to 'movie' - didn't work
- deleting and re-importing the video file to itunes - didn't work
- convering the video file within itunes to iphone - didn't work
- closing itunes and turning off the phone, turning phone back on and opening itunes - didn't work
- syncing via cable - didn't work
- syncing via wifi - didn't work
- unchecking the video, syncing, then re-checking the video, syncing - didn't work
Then I tried syncing some other home videos, and they do not appear on the iphone 5, after waiting for the sync to finish. I guess this rules out any particular video file and suggests a sync issue.
I have 34.16gb free space according to both itunes and the iphone 'about' settings on the iphone. The video I want to add is only ~400mb.
In checking some other threads, I could not find an answer.
Your suggestions to resolve this one would be greatly appreciated...

I also found, finally, that selecting "manually manage" for the device on the summary page in iTunes for the helped.

My iTunes (v10.3.1.55) can successfully sync everything to my iPhone4/iPad2 except the new added videos (movies tab) though they're mp4 100% compatible!!
even though they just don't appear in their playlists anymore
FYI, I tried the following with no luck at all !!
1) Uninstalled/Reinstalled the itunes completely
2) Deleted (iTunes Music Library files) & created a new one
3) Checked (Content Restrictions) in iTunes & my iDevices
4) Checked (movies tab) options & checked (sync only checked songs and videos) option
5) Backed up & Restored iPhone4 firmware
6) Created a new playlist for the added videos
Have I got another option to do?!

since my company didn't clear iOS4 yet i'm still using 3.1.3 - and having the problem as well.
But since the problem on my side exists because the file can't be converted at all (manually in the library by right-clicking, neither aac nor mp3 (it is an mp3) I think it can't be related to the sync (in my case). The file seems to broken (only plays threeandsome minutes out of 7 it actually should have).
I defined a "electronic broken" genre and put that song into it since i sync the "electronic" genre and want to keep it that way.

Can't sync home videos to iPad "itunes 11"

Since updating to iTunes 11 I can't sync any of my home videos from my Win 7 PC to my iPad 3.
1. I created them as MP4's.
2. They import to iTunes music folder fine.
3. They show in iTunes under home videos.
4. No error during or after sync, but the videos are not there on the iPad. Videos I put on the iPad before iTunes 11 are there (under movies, not home video) and play fine. But if I delete it from the iPad and then try to put it back it is ignored and will not go back onto the iPad.
This worked fine before iTunes 11.

Can't sync photo/video on iPod touch

Hello everyone!
As title said... I can't sync my photos and videos (taken with the iPod) on my iPod touch 4th gen with my iTunes 10.4.0.80...
I went on the photos tab into the iPod device into iTunes, I clicked on sync photos from : custom folders named iPod... choosen options are : All the folders and Include the videos...
When I'm done, I do apply and the the syncing is begining...
When it is almost finish, I got an error message

You need to convert your music to iPhone supported formats, such as .mp3, .aac, etc. If you don’t know how to do the conversion, download the iPhone PC suite, it will convert all the audios imported to iPhone supported ones and then transfer to your iPhone.

1 iphone3g, 2 Macs....can I sync music, video, and apps using both machines

I have a MacBook Pro for work and an iMac at home and would like to be able to add music or movies to my iPhone from either machine. I can do this with no issue with my 80gb Classic but it wants to erase and start over anytime I plug the iPhone in and try to do the same. I have manually manage music checked and I sync some photos and my apps on the iMac. If I uncheck the apps will it delete my apps from the phone? I suspect that is why it won't work on both machines...am I right?

You are correct. Unlike an iPod, the iPhone can only sync with ONE music library at a time. If you're interested in combining music from your 2 libraries, you'll have to add those songs from one computer to the other via a CD, DVD, thumb drive, etc., THEN sync your iPhone.

Can't sync ipod video

i recently bought an ipod video. i immediatley added music to it. it synced and works fine. i can listen to all of the music on it, but when i connect it to my macbook, it isn't reconized. it doesn't even charge. i have a car charger and that works fine. i just need some help figuring out how get my mac to reconize my ipod. help please

I'm suspecting the cable. The car charger uses the Firewire 12V pins while USB is 5V. If you can borrow a replacement, give it a shot.

Can't sync music video I purchased on iTunes to my iPhone

Hi - hopefully someone can help since i have already dedicated far too much time to trying to work this out! I bought a video on iTunes which will not sync to my iPhone. i have recently updated the software and the setting is on 'sync all' so cant see why it isn't working. i have also tried to manually 'drag and drop' the file onto my iPhone and that wont work either. is there a problem with the licensing rules of this particular music video (it's elton john; Your Song (Red Piano Show) [Live In Las Vegas]) or do i just need to adjust a setting somewhere? To be honest I meant to download the song and not the video but am now determined to work out why it wont work! please help. thanks in advance

I have the same problem. Going on for over a month. Itunes keeps giving me emails to check info unrelated to this problem. They gave me a credit and told me to re download. I erased the purchased movies and bought them again. Same problem. This mac plays them fine, but I can't get them onto my ipad and iphone. Other movies, no problem. Just bought another movie at random. Same problem.
This mac is only a few months old. The ipad is an ipad2. The iphone is the iphone 4. All are up to date on their software. I have restored both the iphone and the ipad. same problem. the Genius bar says it is an itunes problem, and they can't help.
My family has five Macbook pros (or whatever the new equivilent is), four iphone 4, two ipad 2 and one ipad1. Never had this problem before.

Can't Sync Some Video Files

I have just spent the last few weeks using HandBrake to rip the video files off my TV Seasons and movie DVDs and importing them into iTunes. I used the same exact rip settings for all my DVDs. There are some that are able to be synced to my iPhone, while others result in iTunes telling me that "Video Name" was not copied to the iPhone "iPhone" because it cannot be played on this iPhone. Now, this is really strange because all of my videos are the EXACT SAME video format. The only difference I can see is a few kbps in the total bit rate and a different video dimension...

As you can see, there isn't much of a difference in the files that will and will not sync. I know that the files aren't corrupt because iTunes has no problem playing them, it just can't seem to sync it. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Do you have the "show only the synched items" box checked? It's on the summary page when you have Apple TV selected under devices in iTunes. I had this problem and it took me a while to see it...now if my Apple TV would just stay connected to iTunes......or if someone could help me downgrade to 2.0 I'd be golden.

Can't sync paid videos

I recently upgraded to Windows Vista. iTunes will no longer allow me to sync videos I've paid for. It comes up with an error message saying that I'm not authorized to play content on the PC I'm using. Anyone know how to fix this?

Try playing one of the Videos for a few seconds in iTunes. Do you get asked to authorise? if so, and if you do, do the videos transfer next time you sync?
