Can't Sync my Z or Q10 Calendar to my Home Outlook

Re: Cannot sync my Blackberry calendar to Outlook

I have had a blackberry of one soort or another for over ten years. All of my BBs have been network synchronised, as is my current ones. On my previous phones I could one way, from device to Outlook, sync my work calendar to my home Outlook so that my wife could see my schedule and know where I am. The contacts also synched easily.
With this new Q10 and Z10, the contacts still sync fine either one way from device or two way.
If I do a two way sync via USB on my Outlook to the device the outlook info shows on the Q10 calendar. (I only have one calendar that wirelessly syncs to my office network Outlook calendar). The Q10 data does NOT show on the home Outlook calendar after USB sync, but syncs wirelessly just fine on the work one. I have opened the home side, work side, made BBLink the default calendar etc. I have spent hours messing with this and still can't get it to wor. This is extremely frustrating. What is the fix please.

Well that really is a poor situation. The article clearly explains why the sync doesn't work but there is no way around the problem. Now I have to export my calnedar from my work laptop, as a PST, and import it to my home compute if I want my wife to be able to see where I am.
While this is doable it was a whole lot simpler when all I had to do was turn off syyncronization to contacts and calendar, cable my Blackberry to my home computer and sync it.
You guys really need to get this new 10 series working properly and bring back all the useful features that are no longer there. Even as a die hard Canadian booster and fan I am starting to consider looking at alternatives.

If it is actually an exchange calendar, and it's not linked to a specific user, it should be possible to simply add the exchange account to each device in question and have that exchange account only sync the calendar.  Then every user has access to the same calendar and can add/edit entries to the calendar as needed.
The same would apply if it were a Google calendar added via Exchange.
If the calendar is not actually on Exchange, but rather added from an outside source, it will depend on that outside source where the calendar originates.

  • Can I sync my existing iPhone 3G calendar enteries with my new iPad 2 calendar?

Can I sync my existing iPhone 3G calendare entries with my new iPad 2 calendar?

WalleWalle below is right: If you're patient for the release of iCloud some time this fall, that should handle your needs.
In the meanwhile, a MobileMe account (which you can't get anymore if you don't already have one) or a Gmail account will do the trick. Exchange will also work, but you'd already know that if you had it available.
Until iCloud is available, I'd recommend getting a free Google Mail (Gmail) account and enabling it for Mail and Calendars. Both your iPhone and your iPad will sync with it automatically.
As an alternative, look at the free Wunderlist, which you can access on your iOS devices with a dedicated app, on the web, and even on a Mac app from the Mac App Store. The apps and service are free, and it's had great reviews. Strictly speaking, it's a to-do app, but it has decent "calendar" functions.

  • Can I sync my Bold 9700 to Office Entourage (Mac's Outlook) ??? Is it easy with new BB-Mac S/W

Can I sync my Bold 9700 to Office Entourage (Mac's Outlook) ??? Is it easy with new BB-Mac Software you can download?
So we no longer nees the pocket mac software to sync to Mac - is this correct?
    THANKS A MILLION

First make sure you install the DMFM correctly, you can search for proper instructions.  Then in order to sync with Entourage (remember that what really happens is Entourage syncs with Mac Address Book first), you must turn on sync services in Entourage preferences.  It will not be a perfect sync as Entourage does not perfectly with Mac Address Book.  Make sure Address Book is how you want it, then sync with DMFM.

  • With home sharing, can I sync music and apps on multiple computers at home?

    Hi.
With home sharing, can I sync music and apps on multiple computers at home?
Basically, I want to sync my iphone and ipad on 2~3 computers at home without deleting contents in my iphone and ipad.
    thanks.

I did some more checking as I still had my old computer online.
I booted and went into iTunes.
Under DEVICES, the TV was listed, along with MUSIC, PHOTOS, PLAYLISTS, much like an iPod/Touch.
When I went into PREFERENCES->TV DEVICES, the TV was listed and on the site, it stated SYNCING.
On the other computer, it listed STREAMING.  I did do a RIGHT CLICK on the device and selected "STOP STREAMING" and it disappeard - must RE-PAIR with the unit I guess.
I'm afraid to perform the following, but if someone out there has the equipment, maybe they can check...
Make sure nothing else is managing the TV.
Pair with the unit so you have all sorts of options under the device and it shows 'syncing'.
Now, create a new account and perform the same thing or use another Mac.  I believe it will limit you to STREAMING only.
My thoughts are that ONLY ONE computer can sync (just like other device).  I have to disconnect the association with the old computer.
Even though I moved everything over with Migration Assistant, I didn't have any issues with managing the iPhones, but I'm wondering if there is a Computer UUID that the AppleTV is TIED to.  Since I'm on a different computer UUID, and it's being managed by another one, I'm limited to STREAMING.
Only other choice is to RESET the unit - now, where did my manual go?
    Thoughts?

  • How can I sync "On My Mac" iCal calendars on Snow Leopard with iPhone and Google Calendar?

    Hi,
(I've done a lot of searching for a clear answer but without success.)
Can someone please advise how I can get the "On My Mac" calendars on iCal v4.0.4 (running under Snow Leopard 10.6.8) to sync with an iPhone and Google Calendars,  'over the air' (i.e. not via iTunes) and both ways (two-way syncing).
There was a great bit of software called Spanning Sync which did it all but it's now discontinued. I'm running Snow Leopard and do NOT want to upgrade to OS Lion.
I've tried the iCloud route but it just creates an extra set of "@me.com" calendars under the "On My Mac" calendars - it is not syncing the "On My Mac" calendars themselves (and I want to use the "On My MAc" calendars as the master dataset (the 'Truth database' to use an Apple term!).
... And the same happens when I try to sync my Google Calendars: another set of "@google.com" calendars appear.
Now instead of 2 calendars in iCal I have 6: 2 On My Mac calendars, 2 iCloud ones, and 2 Google ones. (This is not progress Apple!)
    Hope someone can advise.
    Many thanks.

Thanks Winston.  I'm aware that the 'on my mac' calendar doesn't get picked up by iCloud.  I'm wondering whether anyone can help with the best alternative solution for synchronisation of phone and Outlook.

  • My wife tracks our kids on her I pad calendar by color coding each child. When she syncs with my  calendar they lose their color. Can we sync and see each others calendar and keep the different colors

Can you sync calendars and keep the color coded entries of the original calendar

When you say she syncs with your calendar, do you mean she shares your calendars through iCloud, she subscribes to your calendar, or something else?
You can color-code your view of a shared or subscribed calendar the same way you color-code one of your own calendars. In the Calendar app, tap the Calendars button at upper left, tap the ">"-in-a-blue-circle next to the calendar, and select a new color.

  • How can I sync my iMac & iPod Touch calendar & contacts with new iTunes?

I have just installed the latest iTunes to my iMac. My iPod Touch has iOS 6.0.1. My iMac has OS 10.6.8. I sync by Wi Fi via iCloud. My calendar and contacts are not syncing by Wi Fi between the two, although my mail is. I What should I do?

This says that it can't be done.
But I am able to do it for my calendars in iCloud, just not for my contacts in iCloud.
What is the reason for the difference.

I have already managed to sync my company email into Mail now I want to sync my monthly roster/schedule.
I have tried "subscribing" various URLs that open my monthly roster/schedule (there are three places and ways in the company website where I can access my schedule) all did not work.

I am a mac beginner. I am using a configured macbook air 11" 2012 with Mountain Lion 10.8.1
    Please help.
    Thank you.

You can sync by adding your 365 account under "Mail, Contracts, Calenders" "Add Account" then Outlook and finally enter your 365 email and password; the rest should happen automatically. Don't forget to go in to Sync settings in Outlook and click the things you want to sync.

  • Can't sync Imac (Ical) with Ipad2 (calendar)

Since a few days I can't longer sync my Imac calendar with my Ipad.
Before it always worked perfectly. Th only thing that's changed is an update of Itunes (11.0).
Could this be the rout-cause? How can I solve it?
Before, when I added something in my phone calendar and I launched "Isync" (on my Imac), my phone, Imac and Ipad were synchronised.
Since a few days, when I add something in my phone calendar and I launch  "Isync" (on my Imac), only my phone, and Imac are synchronised.
    Can somebody please help me?

  • Can't sync Work exchange 2007 email, calendar and contacts on my Mac

I am new to Mac. I've been trying to set up my work email, calendar and contacts (Exchange 2007) on my new personal Mac without much success. I have all contacts, calendars and mail syncronized on my Iphone, but when trying to sync calendars via Itunes with Mac ICal, all it does is add ICal entries onto my Iphone (and then they appear twice on iphone and work calendar)
Haven't figured out how to import contacts into email either, although I had some success in setting the account up as a pop account in Mail (we use OWA otherwise for web access)- but can't send, just receive.
Please help - where can I find some stept by step guidance / tutorials on how to do this? I don't want to subscribe to MobileMe or install any windows or Microsoft software on my Mac. Many thanks in advance.

I could very well be wrong, but here's what I did.
At my work we got an Exchange 2007 server and I got an account on it, so I set up my iPhone, but I didn't sync it to the calendars on my desktop Mac, instead I went into Mac Mail, Preferences, Accounts, then added an Exchange account inserting all the same account information that I had put into the iPhone. Then my iCal, Mail, Address Book all synced over the air. I do not have MobileMe, but I'm not sure what my work has on their Exchange server.

  • Can you sync your I-phone 3S calendar with Microsoft Outlook 2007 calendar?

I would like to sync my home email account calendar with Microsoft Outlook 2007 with my I-phone 3GS. Is it possible to do this?
I could sync my work calendar with phone calendar. My employer used office 2010 Outlook. Not sure if that is the reason or is it something in my settings etc.
I'd appreciate any advice or tips on how to do this.
    Thanks,
    BoilerMike57

    Hello BoilerMike57,
According to iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1296), you are able to use Outlook 2007 to sync your iPhone:
    You can sync calendars with:
Microsoft Outlook 2003, Microsoft Outlook 2007, Microsoft Office 2010 (Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7)
If you are having trouble syncing your Outlook calendar with your iPhone, you can follow the steps in this article:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Troubleshooting contact and calendar syncing via USB on Windows

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Sheila M.

  • HT4969 Can I sync events between reminders and calendar?

I have evens on both Reminders and on my Calendar. Can I have them automatically pushed between the two apps? Both have time-specific events.

You could also take a look at Windows Live Mesh:
    http://explore.live.com/windows-live-mesh-devices-sync-upgrade-ui
You need a Windows Live ID but it's free.
A lot of people also use Dropbox if you don't need more that 2 GB (you have to pay for >2GB)
