Can't sync new contacts from Mac to iPhone with 2.0.2

Hi
I updated my iPhone software to 2.0.2. After that, I added some new contacts to my Mac. They are not sync'ed to my iPhone. The 'old' contacts are though: I erased my contacts from my iPhone and re-synced, and all the contacts that were there before I updated the software came back to my iPhone.
Note that it works from the iPhone to the Mac: I added a new contact to my iPhone, after the system update, and found them in my Mac rapidly after.
How bizarre is that??
Of course, I checked, and my contacts are checked on in the MobileMe page of the iPhone.
Any idea/help?
Thanks
Laurent

Some things to try.
Reset Sync History. To do this on a Mac, open iSync in your Applications folder. Once open, click the iSync menu and choose Preferences. Small window opens with a Reset Sync History button. Does not delete any data, just don't expect your next sync to be super quick.
Also, under the Info tab in iTunes, choose the Advanced option of replacing everything on the iPhone with what is on the computer. If it works, be sure to uncheck that setting. I think it is a one time check only thing, but be sure.
Wait...
I just noticed you said MobileMe...if you use MobileMe to sync your stuff, flip Contacts Off then back On. If that doesn't work, delete the MobileMe account on the iPhone and re-add it.
Otherwise, try a hard reset (both buttons for about 10 sec. ignore slide to power off), and reset network settings.
Also, does the Mac contacts show up in MobileMe? If they don't, go to System Preferences > MobileMe > Sync tab and check your settings. Perform a sync too. Under the Advanced button you can Reset Sync Data and choose to replace MobileMe stuff with stuff on your computer or vice versa.

Did the suggestion on the Apple site for contacts.  When I do the sync I can see the new contact in my contact list then it goes away when the sync finishes.

recently started to use icloud for my mac ipad and one iphone - no problems  My old 3g iphone (can't use icloud) no longer syncs using iTunes to address book on my mac and i have lost all my iphone contacts  Notes and calendar are fine any ideas?

I've had the same problem. Updated my address book before I synced my phone for the first time. Then I had a hand full not sync to the phone. When I noticed, and updated the contact info on my phone, the next time I synced it erased from the phone. Haven't found much out yet. Hopefully it will fix in the next iPhone update.

The iPhone does NOT support bluetooth file transfer.  You need to get your Galaxy contacts onto your computer in Address Book or Outlook, then synch your phone to that program.

  • Can't sync my contact from iPhone to iPad Air

Can't sync my contact from iPhone to iPad Air.
If I add a new contact in iPad Air it appears on iPhone. If I delete this new contact on iPhone it is also deleted on iPad. But the whole contacts of iPhone cannot be imported in iPad.
Please help me! Who has any idea?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Please try the following…
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing.

  • How can I sync new friends from Facebook?

    Hi guys,
I have Nokia N9 with the latest firmware version.
I configured my Facebook account and set it to show my friend list in my Contacts.
I can see all my friends from Facebook and they have merged with my contacts list.
But when I add new friends to my Facebook, they won't sync and won't show up on my Contact list.
How can I sync new friends from my Facebook? Is there any way to refresh the list?
    Thanks :-)

Only the contents of the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad, so if you want both sets of photos on the iPad you need to include them in the sync - by not including the current iPad photos in the new sync iTunes 'assumes' that you no longer want them on the iPad.

    Yes by:
Using iPhone, iPad, or iPod with multiple computers
However, you can make this computer the syncing computer by:
    - Transering iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
    Copy music
    - For synced photos you need a program like TouchCopy or PhoneView. The do music too.
    - After everything is on the computer connect the iPod to the computer and make a backupo by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
    - Restore the iPod from that backup
Note that the backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps, music, synced photos.

Do you use iCloud? On both devices - Go to Settings>iCloud and turn on Contacts, calendars, reminders, and whatever you want to sync in those settings.
If you haven't set up iCloud yet....

Move the iPhoto library from the Pictures item of the Finder's sidebar on the MacBook Pro to the same location on the iMac via FireWire Target Disk mode, or a drive, partition, or disk image formatted as Mac OS Extended, or through AFP file sharing over a network.
