Can't sync photo albums to iPad after update

I just updated my ipad2 to 5.0, and am running the current version of iTunes on a windows vista pc. And can not sync my photo albums to my iPad 2. Please help? I tried and while in iTunes , when iPad is connected, the summary page says my photos are on the iPad, they are not actually on the iPad. I go to photos on the iPad and there are outlines of the albums with their names on them, but no pictures inside. Can anyone help please?:)))

Try deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-try the photo sync and see if they then copy over - the location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314

  • ITunes can't sync photos from my iPhoto after update

Hello, after update my iTunes can't sync my photos from my iPhoto. I'm with Mavericks and iTunes 11.0.5. Thank you and have a nice day

I'm having the same issue with iTunes no lonter allowing me the option of syncing my iPhoto pics to my phone.  iPhoto is not offering me an update, though.  Any other suggestions?

  • I moved my library to an external hard drive. Now I can't sync photos on my iPad. Can anyone hep?

After moving my library to an external hard drive, I can't sync photos on my iPad. Has anyone had this problem?

    William,
Did you move all your photos to the external drive, or your library to the external drive, or both?
I have started wondering if photo sharing works if the source of the photo is an external drive.  I.e., what will iTunes do if you try to sync and your library is not accessible, because you stored it on an external drive and it is not plugged in?  Will it remove all of the Aperture photos from your iPad, since the source of the photos (Aperture library) is effectively empty, since it is missing?  Maybe iTunes takes that into account and just ignored libraries that are not local.
Can you see Aperture library in other application using a media browser, like Desktop & Screen Saver or iPhoto (browse Apertuer library)?

  • Synced photo album in ipad cannot be deleted

Few days ago, I synced a photo ablum into ipad.
When I want to delete the synced photo album today, I didn't find any albums in itunes.
However, I found I hv deleted the ipod photo cache folder that ican't delete the photo album.
So, is there any other ways to delete?
    Thx very much.

Backing up with iCloud would not backup synced photos anyway. iCloud only works photos that you take with the iPad.
There are third party WiFi apps that will allow you to transfer the photos back to the Mac. You download the app to both devices and then you can send photos and videos to and from each device.
I use this one. There are others available in the App Store.

  • Can't sync photo albums from iPhoto to iPhone 3GS

Hi, I'm having no problems getting photos off my iphone and currently have an empty camera roll. The problem is, I can't get photo albums to sync from iTunes. I get an 'unknown error (-50) each time.
No problem with syncing a folder, but that's a pain as it's a much more tedious way of doing things.
All software us upto date in iTunes, iPhoto, iPhone and I'm running Leopard on a MacBook.
    Driving me mad..
    HELP!

Hi - similar problem: cannot sync iphoto events to my new iphone 4. Itunes goes halfway through the process of reformatting the photos, sometimes restarting this process, then tells me everything is synced....but no photos have been moved to my iphone.

  • Can't Sync Photos Album on iMac to iPad

I have created a new album in Photos and tried to sync it from my iMac to my iPad using the iTunes approach used before with iPhoto. I click the Sync photos button. It shows the Photos icon and name but shows 0 photos there. I click selected albums and it shows none. I click "Automatically include photos from last three months". It transfers nothing. Any ideas on how to solve this?  ( iTunes 12.1.2 and I am not using the iCloud Library for my photos)

iTunes is syncing with the main System Photos Library. Only one of your Photos libraries can be the System Photos Library.
If iTunes is showing an empty library, your photos an albums may be in a different library than iTuns is syncing with.
While viewing your Photos Library with the album you want to upload to your iPad, open the Photos Preferences.
Make sure, the option "use as System Photos Library" is dimmed in the General Preferences. That means, that this library has already been enabled as the System Photos Library.  If this option is  not dimmed, click it.

  • Can you sync photos to an iPad from both Aperture and Pictures Folder?  I know there are options for both but I have photos on both Aperture and Pictures Folder that I want to put on my iPad.

If I select Aperture as the option to sync for photos I can't select photos from the Pictures folder.  Currently I have my photos synced to Aperture but I want to add photos from Pictures Folder.  It doesn't really look like it's possible to add stuff as it would delete my photos from Aperture if I resync with the Pictures Folder.  Really frustrating because I don't want to have to add those photos to my Aperture library as I'm currently moving away from using Aperture to Lightroom.  So all my older photos are in Aperture but most of my newer images are saved in my Pictures Folder.  Thanks for any help with this.

    Hi Lawrence,
Thanks for that... I thought of that, of adding my iPad Pix as a subfolder of Pictures and syncing to Pictures but I remember many versions of iTunes' ago that I could add folders. Can I still do that or has that option gone? If the option doesn't exist then I suppose I will have to use folders and subfolders.
The thing is, I have iPad Pix as one folder then another folder of Pictures with various subfolders within it. It's a couple of those different subfolders I want to sync as well as iPad Pix and I don't want the hassle of moving and syncing specific folders etc... it really would be easier if I could sync more than one folder at the same time. Hope it's possible...
    Thanks,
    Maz

  • Can't sync photos on my iPhone after Lion upgrade

After upgrading to Lion and/or the latest iOS, I can't sync my photos with my iPhone anymore.
When I try, I get this message: Some of your photos were not copied to your iPhone because they cannot be displayed on your iPhone.
    Anyone know what's wrong?

I have the same problem. All the latest updates as you also have. I´m wondering if it has something to do with merged events in iPhoto (9.1.5), but I´m not shure.... No solution yet...

  • ITunes doesn't "see" iPhoto and can't sync photos, albums or events.

When I connect my iPod Video 30Gb, iTunes launches like a champ.
Clicking on the Photo tab within the iPod setting screen displays a dimmed reference to iPhoto.
Enabling this option fails to display any of the 300+ events nor any photos.
In fact, the screen says at the bottom "Coping photos from iPhoto requires iPhoto 4.0.3 or later.
    I have:
    iPhoto 7.0.2 (341) (part of iLife '08)
    iTunes 7.4.2 (4)
    Mac 10.4.10
I've already rebuilt the albumdata.xml file inside the iPhoto package. No luck.
I have iPhoto Library Manager (great tool, btw) and have:
checked permissions - all are read & write even though the iPhoto Library is on a permissions free drive.
created a new Library - no change
It is as if iTunes thinks I have an old copy of iPhoto. Before I reinstall iPhoto and/or iTunes .... thoughts?

I was having a similar problem after updating to iLife '08 and Leopard. No matter what I did in iPhoto (creating new albums or deleting old ones), iTunes always showed my old iPhoto album list and all were empty. I finally deleted albumdata.xml and restarted iPhoto and iTunes and violå, iTunes suddenly showed the correct (current) iPhoto album list.

  • How can I sync photos to my iPad 2 when using windows vista ?

I have tried everything. Followed the steps on the iPad manual, deleted the old folder and created a new one but it doesnt help. Did anyone else face the same problem ? Were you able to fix it ?

If you mean you want to add photos to your iPad, they must be the right format, so the iPad can read the file. Search for a converer online.

  • Can't see photos in my emails after updating to iO7

    Hi,
I just updated to i07 and cannot see most photos within my emails now. It worked fine prior to the update, even emails with many photos, but no longer. Sometimes I can see a photo, but if I check another email that has more than one and they are not visible, when I go back to my previous email I can't see that one again either. Sometimes it even locks up the phone as if it's overloaded (like a Windows product), but I have plenty of room. Sometimes it shows nothing, sometimes it shows a "download" and sometimes it shows just an outline of the photo, but it won't do anymore than that. I did the update that immediately followed it, hoping that would help, but it did not. I've reset my phone, turned it off and on, made sure the "load remote photos" was turned on and cleared everything from online, etc. I've emailed to others with iphones and they could view the ones I can't. Has anyone else had this problem? I receive a lot of emails with photos for my charity, so it's important that I figure this out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have spoken with AppleCare several times about this. None of the five tech people I've discussed this with had ever heard of the issue before and assumed it was a problem I was having with my device, but when I told them to google "iPad no lyrics" they did see the discussions on the topic. I also had to keep stressing with everyone I talked to that the lyrics were still present on iPods and iPhones with the same upgrade, but no iPads displayed them now.
The last person I spoke with (yesterday) connected me with a senior advisor named Matt who did some research. When he checked he saw that it had definitely been reported numerous times; the engineers are aware of the issue because there are escalated tickets concerning it, but there is no official response yet. He said that Apple typically doesn't take features away - it adds them - so it was probably an error which will be fixed in a subsequent upgrade.

  • Can't sync iPod Touch 4th Gen after updating to IOS 6.0

I've updated my 64GB iPod Touch 4th Gen to IOS 6.0, but now I can’t sync it with iTunes.
It connects OK, but iTunes isn’t detecting what is already there - it thinks it is full of 48MB of “Other” (rather than music, apps, photos, etc.). In other words iTunes isn’t detecting what is already on the iPod properly (it just knows it’s nearly full of something).
So if I try to sync, iTunes thinks it needs to add all my music, etc. again, and therefore says it’s way over capacity (i.e. 48MB of “other” + 48 MB of all my music, etc.).
    Help! Any suggestions?

    - Try resetting the car system if you can.
    Sometimes this works
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
However. sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility. In that case you will have to wait for a firmware update to either the care system or the iPod.

I can't sync my iPod touch after updating to ios 5.

  • Syncing Photo albums with iPad

I am trying to sync 3GB of photos with the 'Photoshop Album', and I also tried just syncing those specific folders too, and it says "The iPad cannot be synced. There is not enough memory." But there is 21GB of "free" space. I am confused. Any ideas?

There are a couple of different resets for the iPad:
    In the settings app:
(page 125 of iPad Users Guide).
    "Resetting iPad
Reset all settings: Choose General > Reset, then tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information, such as your contacts and
calendars, and media, such as your songs and videos, aren’t deleted.
Erase all content and settings: Choose General > Reset, then tap “Erase All Content
    and Settings.”
This resets all settings to their original values and erases all your information
    and media.
Reset network settings: Choose General > Reset, then tap Reset Network Settings.
When you reset network settings, your list of previously used networks and VPN
settings not installed by a configuration profile are removed. Wi-Fi is turned off and
then back on, disconnecting you from any network you’re on. The Wi-Fi and “Ask to
Join Networks” settings remain turned on.
To remove VPN settings installed by a configuration profile, choose Settings > General
Profile, then select the profile and tap Remove. "
You can also reset by (page 136 of iPad Users Guide).
"If that doesn’t work, reset iPad. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the
Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears."
