Ever since I updated to IOS8 I can not sync to my computer anymore. I have tried over wifi and hard wired

WWhat happens when you connect your iPhone to your computer? Do you get any error messages? Try rebooting your computer and reset your iPhone. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

Since IOS8 update my iPad loses cellular service every time it exits sleep mode. Hard Reset has not helped.

Each time I wake iPad from Sleep mode since IOS8 update I have no cellular service. I have tried a Hard Reset as suggested by others, but the problem persists.

Since IOS8 update I can no longer open .rtf files in Safari

We have a system at work where by we have a lot of emails saved in our records as .rtf files. We access these on our iPad through safari by visiting our website, on the previous IOS they could just be opened within safari and they popped up in a new tab. Since the update they do not open, instead we get an error message dying that the file cannot be opened- "unable to read document, An error occurred while reading the document.".
Is there a fix for this?

I have the same problem with Safari, it will not open any Rich Text File attachments in Gmail. I can see people thinking why is he using Gmail in safari? Two co-workers and I share a work related account and important stuff comes in by RTF file, the duty person can see it instantly there.
Anyway, I need to open RTF files using safari. A process of elimination, I found a free App that will let you "Open in" when you get an attachment in the mail.
IT is Called RTF Write by Mach Software Design.
(Apple you guys still need to pull your finger out and sort the IOS8 Issues. The RTF problem has been reported as a "Bug")

Can't sync since last iTunes and IOS update

I have an IPAD 4 and a MAC Mini Mid 2011. I upgraded to IOS8 and ITunes 11.4 almost at the same time.
It used to sync without problem, but since the upgrade it says " It's not possible to sync the IPAD XXX because these computer doesn't have authorization for the times acquired in this IPAD". Then the obvious but suggested solution is "Go to the Itunes store menu and "authorize this computer".
But, it didn't work.
I just have one Apple ID, I don't use multiple usernames.
I also have an Iphone 4s (upgraded to IOS8 too) and it does sync with the same MAC Mini, by cable and wirelessly.
What I have done so far is:
1. Deauthorize and reauthorize... didn't work
2. Reinstall Itunes.. .didn't work
3. Reset network settings in the IPAD.. didn't work (but it did fixed another issue, related to wireless sync)
4. Restore the IPAD...didn't work
So I'm running out of options. Thanx in advance for your help.

Photo orientation upside down since ios8 update

This is odd... since the ios8 update, my 5s has started taking photos upside down. They appear correct in the 'viewfinder', but in my 'recently added' they are inverted. While taking the photo, the top bar (which contains the flash settings, HDR, timer and front/back camera switcher) is also upside down. Is this a known issue since the update? Here's a photo of what I mean - and although it looks like the photo in the thumbnail is right-side up, when it is opened, the photo is upside-down.

I've noticed that the first picture I take is OK...it's all the subsequent pics that are upside down. If I leave the camera app then come back to it...same thing....first pic is OK and all the rest are upside down. You can tell before you even take the pic...the flash text (on/off/auto) on the top of the screen will be upside down

Music messed up since ios8 update

ever since I updated my iphone 5s, my music has been messed up, at first it put cover albums of other bands for a certain song, example caladen brood had a dean brody cover, and a track name from adam gregory, when from Caladan brood. i updated to 8.02 no change, i restored my phone, that fixed that issue, but now when i sync it doesn't sync all my music, in fact it seems liek the more I sync the more gets deleted off my phone (as the memory keeps going up), even though i deleted nothing. has anyone else have the same problems? any fixes to this problem? thanks

I’ve exactly the same issue with an iPhone 5 updated to iOS 8.0.2.
First thing I thought it is strange was that several Album Covers have been replaced or updated.
Then I have seen that the play lists on my iPhone are missing a lot music tracks.
The track is shown in grey, normal is black, and there is a dotted circle in front. You can’t play that grey tracks from the iPhone. I’ve investigated and could find the information that it means it is not synchronized yet.
It doesn’t matter if you try to synch the device a hundred times, it will be the same.
This issue is known from previous versions, but it could be solved there with unchecking a setting to synch only selected Music and videos and remove the playlist and add them after synchronizing again.
I’ve tried it and it is not working now.
Checking all my devices I have the same issue on my iPad Air and iPad mini, updated to iOS 8.0.2.
Right now I try a reset of my iPhone to see if it solves something.
I’ll tell you if that solved the issue when done.

Can't Sync since iOS 4.3.1

Since I updated my iOS to 4.3.1, my iTouch won't sync. The iTouch is recognized by Windows, but just to be sure, I have followed all the instructions of reconnecting the device. I have reset the device (and lost all my music and videos from the iTouch in the process). I've followed all instructions I could find.
In iTunes, my device is recognized, and I can choose to sync it. However, when I click "sync," it says "preparing sync (step 1 of 1)" - my iTouch does show the sync screen as well - and then within three second (literally), it says "finishing sync." Nothing has been moved to my iTouch, and when you look at the libraries on the iTouch, it's empty.
I'm going crazy at work. Please help me fix my iTouch so it syncs with iOS 4.3.1.

SCCM - How can we sync old software updates that are older than two, three years. I would like to know even if that is possible

SCCM 2007 will synchronize all updates that you can deploy, that is not superseeded or expired, There is no way to deploy an update that is expired. In Configuration Manager 2012 you can control when a superseeded update is expired, in SCCM 2007
you cannot.
If you need to deploy an update that is superseeded or expired I would recommend that you download it manually and deploy it as a package instead.

Can't sync Iphone after update the Itunes 11.1.5.5

Hi Can seem to get Iphone recognised when hooking up to Itunes to synce phone....... any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Same problem here. I feel like I should know by now not to update iTunes before seeing if there are any issues with the release but I did anyway.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. That didn't work.
I tried doing a System Restore. With the restored version (11.1.3.8 I think it was) I was able to sync using File -> Devices -> Sync but iTunes would crash if I tried navigating to the phone in the Sidebar.
I tried restoring to an even older point but that version gave me an error about missing files and the library being created from a newer version. I tried going back to the later restore but that was no longer working.
I had to install 11.1.5.5. The one that's useless because I can't sync.
Please fix this, Apple!!!

Take it to you nearest Apple Store and see what they have to say. You should back up you data before you go in but in your case you can not.

Can't Sync since updating to iOS4

So I've been using my 3GS (32GB) problem free for over a year now, bought myself a Pioneer DEH-7100BT Head unit to sync my phone up to the car, been working perfectly.
Then iOS4 comes along, while i'm a huge fan of the new OS it has come with one huge problem for me, the link i Use to sync up to my car is an official apple iphone usb/charge cable but since upgrading to 4.0 it refuses to sync, it acknowledges the device and will work with a bluetooth connection but not the hard wired connection. Now I can get BT audio to stream from the iphone to the car stereo (but it sounds like crap to be honest) does anybody have any idea why this is no longer working or is having a similar problem?
