Can't sync to palm centro/installer not compatable with device

Cant sync from computer (palm os) to new palm centro. Conduit setting times out. Have also been getting promts on my last couplle treo phones that the installer is not compatable with my device Please delete installer and it keeps coming up Please Help

Their might be an installer that is on a queue waiting for you to hotsync, unfortunately it's not compatible. This is what you are going to do. Locate c:\program files\palm\[hotsync username]\if you will se a install folder or quick install folder just empty it by deleting whatever file inside those folders.

Palm Centro Desktop not working with new install

I just got a Palm Centro (AT&T) and installed the software. I already had Palm Desktop from my Treo 650. My information came over to my phone during Hotsync, but I can not use my desktop. When I start the program, it says there is a problem and windows is shutting it down. I am using Vista. Can you help?

Try re-installing the software and do a repair of the install. If that doesn't work then you will need to do a "clean" uninstall and then install Palm desktop again.
You should first make a copy of your data to have just in case something
happens. You can find your data files by going to Start --> Documents -->
Palm OS Desktop. Highlight your Palm Desktop username and right click and
copy. Then go to your PC desktop right click on a blank spot and select paste.
Now you want to uninstall Palm Desktop and remove everything that has to do
with Palm Desktop from your computer.
Go to the following locations on the PC and delete the folders listed below.
C:\Program Files\Palm or Palm One
C:\Users\[Vista Login Name]\appdata\local\virtualstore\Program Files\Palm or
PalmOne
C:\Users\[Vista Login Name]\appdata
*Note you may need to view hidden folders to get to appdata. To do that go
into your control panel and open folder options. Go to view tab and uncheck
hide hidden files.
Once this is done you will need to delete some registry keys from your PC Operating System.
Word of warning, going here and deleting the wrong thing can cause your PC
from starting up, crashing and deletion of programs and data. If you feel
you are unsure of yourself, see if you have a friend that can help you or a
PC technician that you can pay to help you. This procedure will show them everything they need to delete. To make sure we have a good copy of the current registry, we need to do a backup of the Registry.
Go to start on the PC, in the search field type "regedit.exe" without quotes.
Highlight COMPUTER, go to File --> Export. Should pop up with a Save As box.
Current location is fine, should be in My Documents or save to a location you will remember. In the file name on the bottom type "backup[todaysdate]" i.e. backup07072008. Next, the hard part.
The easiest way to make sure your working with the correct key, highlight the key i.e. palm quick install, and press delete on your keyboard. It will ask you, are you sure. Say yes. Do the same thing for all keys below.
If you make a mistake, stop what you are doing. And call a PC technician.
BUT do not turn off your computer.
The reg keys are as follows (Note: some of theses reg keys will not be here
but if they are delete them)

* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\palmOne
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmSource
* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PalmSource or anything else that says palm
Next reboot your computer.
Then reinstall your palm desktop from the CD and do a hotsync. If it asks
you for a username and you synced your device before, put in 'test" if you
did not sync before create a hotsync name.

Palm Centro BT not working with Lexus

I just transitioned from a Palm 755 to a new Centro. The 755 worked great with my Lexus car kit, but now wont pair with the Centro. Anyone have any ideas?

Same situation with me. Car stall as at 'Connecting...', Centro seems to think it paired. I have a 2007 Lexus IS.
I'm giving this 2 more days, then the Palm gets returned for a Blackberry instead. I can't see why this is so hard for Palm to get working...

There is a trick to make this work. The 'phone' section of the Centro must be turned OFF when pairing with the car. Once the pairing works, then the phone can be turned on and it will work. Mine is now working great... Palm tech support sort of helped find this; I think it was an accident that I started to pair it without remembering to turn the phone part on.

Not Compatable with Device Message coming up, but NOT connected to anything

Anyone have any idea why I keep getting this? My phone keeps asking if I want to switch to airplane mode, or tells me that the device isn't compatable, but I'm not plugged in. I shut off, turned back on, logged in and updated to version 4.0.1, can't figure it out. Thanks.

Check the dock connector port for any dirt, lint, or foreign material and it doesn't take much.
This can also occur with water or moisture damage around the dock connector port.

How can I sync both Outlook (through Exchange) and iCal with my iPhone???

I recently added my Outlook account via MS Exchange to my iPhone to access my email and outlook calendar. At this time I could still sync iCal as well, and I could chose to view either one, or both calendars at the same time, on my iphone. Then for some reason, about a week later I could only see my outlook calendar on my iPhone.
Now when I try and sync my iCal again, it doesn't even come up as an option in iTunes. I can turn stop pushing the data for Outlook on my phone and sync with iCal again, but then I loose all of my Outlook appointments. It seems now that I can only have one or the other!

If you are accessing an Exchange account via ActiveSync or a MobileMe account with over the air syncing enabled for contact info and calendar events, you can't sync contact info and calendar events direct with a supported application on a computer via the iTunes sync process. You can do one or the other, not both at the same time.
You can sync your business Exchange contact info and calendar events over the air and personal contact info and calendar events over the air with a MobileMe account at the same time. You can view contact info and calendar events combined with both, or view contact info and calendar events with each separately.

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

You may have some problems because Apple has not certified that everything works with Windows 8 yet.

Iphoen supports bluetooth for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone devices, some keyboards, some apps from the app store and interenet tethering if provided by your carrier.
It does not connect to computers, other phones,etc.

What model TC is this? How old and on what firmware?
Do a full factory reset of the TC.. they do not like a change of setup.
Remember changes to router require a power down of the modem for long periods.. maybe 30min maybe longer.
