Can't sync with itunes

Every time I click and drag songs from itunes to my touch, it will do the sync arrows spinning then everything freezes up and i have to force quit the app. Any thoughts? It's currently up to date.

figured out on my own. Can't have usb connected to one of those usb splitters, needs original usb port for full power.

You are correct. Syncing should transfer any purchased media, including videos, from your device to your iTunes library provided your computer is authorized for the Apple ID used to make these purchases. You mentioned that you have uninstalled iTunes before, but if you didn't follow this guide exactly, uninstalling iTunes and all of its components in the order specified, it may not have been successful so you should try again: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7.

I had to restore my iPhone to factory settings and now I can't sync with iTunes.

I had to restore my phone and I was able to use the most recent backup. However, when I plug into iTunes, it keeps asking if I want to restore from a backup or start as a new iPhone. I have already restored from the backup twice, but the message won't go away. How can I sync with iTunes?

It's weird that you have to restore from backup, and then choose to start as a new phone. But I didn't lose ANYTHING when I did it that way! Thank goodness!

My PC is recognising iPad 3 as a camera, can 't sync with iTunes

Help required, just got back from US with my new iPad 3, this was fully registered at time of purchase. Got home to sync with iTunes and it comes up as a camera.
Can anyone who has fathomed this problem please help.

Mine does this all the time. I have an image capture program to download photos from my camera. If my iPad has new photos in the Camera roll my Mac thinks the iPad is a camera. I just dismiss the dialog box that comes up and start iTunes. All goes well after that.
As an alternative you can go through your image capture application, which ever one it is and change the preference to do nothing when a camera is connected.

I was doing a restore of my iphone 5 because none of the art work matched the song or the artist....All was fine I was downloading my Itunes Library from the cloud and all the sudden I got a error saying I cannot sync with itunes due to a internal error now its stuck I cant get in...
Please help these problems I never had until iOS 7 this downloading from the cloud requires a large bit transfer ..I feel it would be good to have the option to be able to download itune the old way by syncing with you computer via USB for individual song the cloud is great but large files take way to long and that's were the errors occur..
Also I'm in Bahrain were cell,wifi data transer is not as good as some places in the world...

This seems to be a commom problem. Mine occured in the middle of updating to the IOS 5. It didn't do it to my daughter's but it did it to mine & now whenever I try to sync or backup it constatantly says to delete old backup & that it's corrupted. Well I tried the deleting & The encrypting with the password & it still won't backup my phone & still says that same message. You would think Apple would give this help free automatically when they do an update!! I should have just left well enough alone I guess. But if anyone has any advice on how to fix it without deleting all my content (which is a lot), I would greatly appreciate it~!

IPod Touch can't sync with iTunes.

I have an iPod Touch, 5th generation. After updating to iOS 7.0.4, I am no longer able to sync with iTunes, ver 11.1.3.8. It gets stuck on step 4 of 4, "waiting for changes to be applied". Before the update, there was no problem with syncing. Does anyone have a way to correct this issue? I am using Windows 7. I really haven't liked anything about iOS 7, is there anyway to go back to a previous operating system?

Can't Sync with itunes 9.0.2

For no apparent reason, ever since I upgraded from last version 8 of itunes I can't sync more than one song from autofill even though I have more than 50 songs.
My ipod shows up in my computer and in itunes but it just doesn't sync at all.
I don't understand why it DOESN't work but I've got other programs that sync without a problem. I figure that I tunes 9 isn't compatible with ipod shuffle 2nd gen. Apple really messed me up this time, they really want me to get a new ipod.

Stupid itunes decided to work after I uninstalled using revo uninstaller and reinstalled it after restart. But now I can only sync at a horribly slow rate. Wth. It should sync like 30 songs in a second with USB 2.0 but its syncing like 1 song in 5-10 seconds.
Does anybody have any clue as to why its syncing so slowly?
I've already "reset" but could not "restore" using restore utility since Vista isn't supported.
BTW, I have the ipod shuffle 2nd gen, if it wasn't already obvious enough.
And Also Vista SP2 with lastest updates for both it and itunes 9.0.2

I plugged my iPod into my computer today (it has always worked before) and none of my 600+ songs showed up on iTunes page altho' I can hear them all on the Nano. It kept saying that my iPod is synced with another folder. I updated iTunes to the latest one (9) and still I can't get my music to show up on the iTunes page.
How do I get all my songs off my Nano (3rd gen) iPod onto the updated iTunes? I can see my old songs in other file folders.

IPad is disabled and can't sync with iTunes

My toddler managed to permanently diasbled my iPad. I connected it to my PC (the only computer it has been synced to) so that I could restore it and not lose any of its content. I got a notification that my iTunes needed to be updated, so I tried updating my iTunes and it won't update by itself. I contacted iTunes support and they said I probably have to remove iTunes from my computer then redownload it. My question is, if I remove the iTunes the iPad was synced to and redownload it, will that affect my ability to restore it without losing any of its content, even though it's still on the original computer?

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
