Can't synch apps

Hello
So today I've become a proud owner of one of the Ipod Touch. Brilliant.
So I started trying out all features of it, but when it comes to apps, it won't give a bunch.
See, I can view and drag and drop any App I downloaded from the store, but it just won't sync. Downloading manually from the iPod itself doesn't work either (indicates an invalid link).
Obviously, one of the enthusiast part is the app world. But this isn't really working...
I was hoping someone could help me out:) since I only had problems already with iTunes itself, figuring out how it works....

But no, I didn't purchase any app on my Touch. If I want to download an app directly to my Touch, everytime I go to the iTunes store it say it's an invalid link.
But when I download apps from my PC and I wish to transfer those to my Touch, nothing happens...
Eveything thats related with synching the iPod with apps is greyed out. So I can't click anything. And when I try to drag and drop, it just indicates it's not possible. With no error message or anything at all.

ITunes dont want to synch apps in 3GS

Two days ago, when performing a synch between iTunes and my 3GS iPhone, I noticed that the apps are in gray and it doesnt allow me to make any changes. Why is this? How can I synch apps from my Mac to my 3GS ?

To delete the apps from the iPod but retain them in iTunes, uncheck the apps she no longer wants on the iPod in the Apps pane for the iPod in iTunes and then sync. Then sync the music.

Can't synch my apps on 4s

I am having a problem synching apps on my new 4s. In iTunes, I select which apps I want to synch, click apply and they don't transfer to my phone. The little layout screens on the right go back to hte original settings. Any ideas?

I want to know how to create a backup file (because I'm pretty new with itunes, and it's hard to use it for me still), how to store my app data/media/videos, etc. And how I can retrieve them back when I'm done with the app I tried on my friend's computer.

Sure-glad to help you. You will not lose any data by changing synching to MacBook Pro from imac. You have set up Time Machine, right? that's how you'd do your backup, so I was told, and how I do my backup on my mac. You should be able to set a password for it. Save it. Your stuff should be saved there. So if you want to make your MacBook Pro your primary computer, I suppose, back up your stuff with Time machine, turn off Time machine on the iMac, turn it on on the new MacBook Pro, select the hard drive in your Time Capsule, enter your password, and do a backup from there. It might work, and it might take a while, but it should go. As for clogging the hard drive, I can't say. Depends how much stuff you have, and the hard drive's capacity. As for moving syncing from your iMac to your macbook pro, should be the same. Your phone uses iTunes to sync and so that data should be in the cloud. You can move your iTunes Library to your new Macbook pro

don't forget to de-authorize your iMac if you don't want to play purchased stuff there
and re-authorize your new macBook Pro
time machine is an application, and should be found in the Applications folder. it is built in to OS X, so there is nothing else to buy. double click on it, get it going, choose the Hard drive in your Time capsule/Airport as your backup Time Machine and go for it. You should see a circle with an arrow on the top right hand of your screen (the Desktop), next to the bluetooth icon, and just after the wifi and eject key (looks sorta like a clock face). This will do automatic backups of your stuff.

IPhone and synching Apps

I have a number of Apps ion my iPhone that I have purchased and installed via the iPhone. I am now synching to a new computer. Music is fine, However, when I checked the synch Apps bos I was warned that all my apps would be repaced by what is on the computer. I have carefully arranged my apps on my iPhone the way I want them. Is there a way to have the iPhone control the iTunes instead of the other waty?

Connect the phone but do not sync. Then choose "Transfer Purchases..." on the File menu in iTunes. Once the apps are on your computer you can sync and they should not be deleted.

Trouble synching apps

i have recently bought a 32gb itouch off of my friend, i have synched music from my itunes library fine. However his apple ID keeps popping up on my itouch even though i have already signed in on the app store, also i am unable to sync the apps in my library to the itouch
if anyone has any suggestions on how i can get rid of his apple ID or how i can sync these apps it would be appreciated, thanks

It appears that there are apps on the iPod that were purchased with the account that pops up. Delete those apps. Those are licensed to the person who purchased them and not to you. They do not transfer with the purchase of he iPod.
Are your apps on the computer compatible with the model iPod and iOS on the iPod? Are restrictions invoked (Settings>General>Restrictions) on the iPod that is preventing their syncing? Are the correct boxes checked to sync the apps to the iPod?

Can't synch TV show rentals to my iPhone or iPad

I rented a bunch of TV shows off iTunes for 99 cents each to watch on my plane. They downloaded onto my PC overnight. Now I'm trying to synch them with my iPad and my iPhone3GS. I keep getting a message that says "these TV shows won't play on the iPad/iPhone."
What gives with that?

I have the newest OS for the iPad, but I can't synch the tv show I purchased to the iPad. It does synch to the iPhone. I thought I could synch with any of the registered Apple products, but is there a limit of one synch at a time? I don't even see TV or videos as an option in my iPad iPod app - only music.
