Can't synch contacts with new ipad mini

I can't synch my contacts to my new ipad mini

Figured it out might've been something to do with free storage.  I had 2 gb available, free'd up another 1 gb and was then able to download.

Hi,i have an ipad 2 can i change it with new ipad without pey charge ?

No. Apple does not do trade-ins. Sell the iPad 2 and use the money
toward an iPad 4. If you are still within the return window of the retailer
where you purchased the iPad 2, return it and buy an iPad 4.

  • HT204053 I am unable to sync all contacts on my iMac (which includes outlook for Mac contacts) with my iPad mini, how do I do this, I have enabled icloud on both devices and ticked all the boxes.

I am unable to sync all contact in my address book on my imac with my ipad mini, it looks like only icloud & yahoo contact sync leaving out the ones in outlook for mac.  I have enabled icloud on both devices and ticked all the boxes.

Thanks for that, but my Outlook contacts are synced to and all in my mac contacts book, does this not meen they would go to icloud,
No, they are in the On My Mac account in the Mac Contacts app, not iCloud.
or are they in a different format despite being in mac contacts?  If so can the outlook contacts be exported in some other way to icloud?
Outlook is not compatible with iCloud, check Microsofts site if you need more verification.
If you want them in iCloud use Mac Contacts and move them from On My Mac to iCloud. This will remove them from Outlook.

  • Having issues with new iPad mini retina 128 dropping wifi

New ipad mini have issues with dropping signal while I am in the middle of connection.  I can be reading a book or email and it will just drop the connection.  When I try to hook back up it says it cannot join.  My iphone 5c is right next to me and is connecting fine.  It is frustrating when  I am in the middle of taking notes in an area and it drops the signal and I lose everything.  I can be 5 feet away and it will not hook up.  Also, I have reset the network settings and started all over.  It helped for a day or so and it started all over again.  Also, I have reset and turned off and on my router to assure the signal connections.  I am now in the process of taking it back for a replacement.  Apple says it is a hardware issue.

    I'm experiencing the same problem.
But my old iPad mini is connecting fine.
I think it is a firmware or software problem?
I hope Apple will fix this issue on an update sooner!

  • Apple Bluetooth keyboard won't pair with new iPad mini

Apple Bluetooth keyboard won't pair with new iPad mini

I have same results. I have an ipad mini and it will not pair with my apple keyboard. I bought a mini keyboard with bluetooth 3.0 and it will not pair either.  Is my ipad defective?  Or do i need a keyboard with bluetooth 4.0?  Also - the mini keypad will pair with my ipad2 and my iphone 4.  Only difference I can find is the ipad mini has bluetooth 4.0.  Seems it should be downward compatible but maybe not.. I am not a blutooth expert!

  • I cannot sign onto Facetime with new iPad mini 3

Recently purchased 2 new iPad mini 3 for children.  Update iOS to 8.2.  Family share and parental controls are set.  One iPad mini 3 will sign in, one will not.  I have gone through most every "trick" or "fix" I could find (OFF & ON, Sign out & Sign In, Checked Date & Time, set DNS to 8.8.8.8, etc.) to get the one iPad to sign in but no use.  Other than a complete factory reset, I have run out of ideas.  Is there some child age restriction possibly I don't know about keeping it from signing in?  Any other "try this" ideas the community can share?  Thanks in advance

I have tried the factory reset and it did not work. The people at the Apple Store thought I needed a replacement iPad but I think it's an Apple problem. I got bumped up to a senior tech at AppleCare who is working with engineers. There are a number of people with this problem.
have you sen the long post about this?

  • IPhoto won't sync with new iPad mini

I purchased a new iPad mini. When I sync it with my desktop, iPhoto does not sync, when I press photo tab I just see s whirling beach ball and no albums to select to sync on iPad

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • Wifi connection with new iPad mini

New iPad mini; cannot connect to mobile wifi router.  Connected successfully with iPhone...Restored iPad as suggested;  reset network settings.. running 6.0.2 on iPad.  Still get Unable to Join Network.

You have a "good WiFi connection". What does that mean exactly? Can you send and receive email and are other internet related activities working OK for you? Have you tried restarting or rebooting your iPad? Sometimes that helps. If nothing else, it's a good place to start.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • HT5538 Can I link icloud with my ipad mini and my sony lap top?

Im brand new at this!  I've somehow lost the pictures I took on my new ipad mini when I tried to transfer them onto my computer.  Is that even something I can do?  I'm pretty iliterate when it comes to these things!

Do you really need to update now, you can't wait until April ? If you try to update via a computer that isn't the one that you normally sync to and which therefore doesn't have all your content on, then you risk losing all your current content from the iPad

  • Problems with new iPad mini

Brand new Ipad Mini screen is fading, blacking out, and has bands/lines across? Only responds sluggishly to on/off button. The menu screen comes up for a moment, but the screen blacks out and lines appear.

Have the same problem, but unfortunately this solution didn't work.
The iPad becomes unresponsive as the screen slowly fades to near black. The fading isn't even, vertical bands fade at different rates. Then thin horizontal lines appear up top or at the bottom. When it becomes responsive again, swiping icons is sluggish. Even when I press the power button to black out the screen, I can see thin horizontal lines up top.
I've tried wiping the iPad and starting from scratch, but after a few minutes the problems start again.

  • Can't download magazines on new iPad Mini

I just got a new iPad Mini and have restored a magazine subscription from previous iPad.  The problem now is I'm not able to download any issues.  The error I get is "unable to download folio -500".

Figured it out might've been something to do with free storage.  I had 2 gb available, free'd up another 1 gb and was then able to download.

  • How do I sync Calendar with new iPad mini

New iPad3 mini. No Calendar entries shown on it. How do I go about syncing it with either iPhone6 or MacBook Pro?

Hey Seattle! I used to live in Spoke-a-loo! Went from a West Coast state to an East Coast one
Go to Settings>iCloud and make sure of the following:
    1.     The Apple ID showing at the top is the same one you have signed onto iCloud on your Mac and other devices
    2.     The "Calendar" option is turned on
    3.     That you have a Wifi or Cellular connection. If it is a cellular connection, make sure that under Settings>Cellular>Use Cellular Data For, you have "Calendar" turned on
Also, not sure what OS X you are running on the Mac, but if it is prior to Yosemite, make sure that when you hook your iPad Mini up to iTunes, and click on the Device, that on the "Summary" device Profile screen, it indicates that you are syncing your Calendar and Contacts via iCloud.
If all those check out, then go back to Settings>iCloud and scroll to the bottom of the screen and Sign Out/Delete the iCloud account (again, not sure what iOS you are running on the iPad. If it is iOS 8 then it would say Sign Out, if it is iOS 7 or earlier, it will day Delete). Provide your password when prompted, and then answer the questions to complete the Sign Out/Delete. Then sign back on to see if the Calendar info will then be pushed to your device.
    Cheers,
