Can't Test CFM Page

Hello
I just installed CF MX 7 using built-in webserver. I'm using
Window XP home edition.
The Administrator page (
http://127.0.0.1:8500/CFIDE/administrator/)
is running fine
without any problem but when i created a folder placed under
wwwroot/myfolder/
and tried to test my cfm page (
http://127.0.0.1:8500/myfolder/test.cfm),
i got an error
'HTTP 500 - Internal server error Internet Explorer' , htm
file is running file under this
folder but can't run cfm. I tried to uninstall and reinstall
CF MX7 but the problem still
exist. Please help me. Thanks in advanced.

What does your code for test.cfm look like? Also, go into IE
and turn
off "friendly" errors; then you may see an actual CF error as
opposed to
the default IE error (which doesn't tell you much).

  • Can't open cfm pages

New install of CF10 on IIS7 does not open any cfm pages tries to download instead.

Update CF 10 and then After running the connector tool (as run as admin), check the handler mappings in IIS
then double click on anyone of them to see, are they pointing to the correct location or not
You can test the same by creating a Test website in IIS with a test.cfm. Make sure that you have full admin rights on that Test website folder.
If you are not able to open CF 10 admin, then you can try to run CF 10 admin via it's internal port : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHhSPTmRozM

  • Can Contribute Edit .CFM files

A client's site has been created using Coldfusion by another web design company. Can Contribute edit .cfm pages?

    Hi,
contribute doesn't fully support .cfm pages.

  • How can I add an existing cfm page to a project?

CFB3 Question: How can I add an existing cfm page to a project? I created a project and copied a file into the project folder but I can't seem to find a way to add the cfm file into the project.

@Carl - Well heck, yes I did... But after reading your response I went back and tried right-clicking on and refreshing different things and what worked was right-clicking on the project name in the Navigator window and then clicking on refresh in that context menu.
    Thank you Carl!

  • HP210a print jobs fail over wireless, but can still print Test Diagnostic page over network

Help!  I cannot print over the wireless network anymore.  When I try, the print job queues up and I get "Error - Printer" message.  I can print the Test Diagnostic page just fine over the network.  I can also print fine when connecting via USB port.  I have the latest firmware.  Any ideas?

    Hi HP_210a_user,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP 210a printer and not printing over wireless. HP Print and Scan Doctor.
The HP Print and Scan Doctor will help resolve this issue. I would also restart the printer. Unplug wait 1 min plug back in.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

  • Can print test pages from embedded web server., put not from windows

    Hello,
I have a P1102w that worked perfectly through the last 5 month.
Two days ago it stopped printing anything for some reason. What happen is, when I print something, it spools, but then I get Error-Printing under the status when I double click the printer icon in the "devices and printers" manager of windows 7.
Right now I can see the printer in Ad Hoc. I can load the embedded web server,. And I can print test pages from the embedded web server.
However, if I tried to print test pages using the printer icon in "devices and printers" manager".. it doesnt print!
If I go to Devices and Printers -> Properties -> Advanced -> "Print directly to printer" -> Apply
I got an error box: "Printer settings could not be saved. Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000070c)."
The printer works fine when connected to other laptops (with exactly the same driver/setting)..
This problem is driving me crazy !
Thank you in advance for your help

    Hi m-rasheed,
An ad-hoc connections is much more unstable than an infrustructure network using a router. At this point i would suggest getting a wireless router, and then connect the printer to your network through the router.

  • Can't open any cfm pages

I installed a trial version of ColdFusion MX , to work
through some tutorials from a book on E-learning.
It installed OK. But I now want to access the Index page in
order to add a New Data Source, and it won't open! It says it
doesn't recognise the file extension (cfm). My computer is saying
that all cfm pages are "Homesite+" files. (I had Homesite before,
    but uninstalled it).
Is there any way out of this? It would be a shame not to be
able to try out the product.

    Hi Craig.
No, I'm afraid that doesn't work. If I try and go through the
Start-Programs menu, I just get a blank page. If I type the address
in the browser, I get an error (page not available). I can see all
the files on my hard drive, and i can open any other file type
(html, css) through the browser, but not the cfm files. If I look
in the root folder, I can see all the files listed, but my system
won't open any of them. I saw an earlier posting that said I needed
to change configuration mappings in IIS for coldfusion files (check
'Check file exists' box) but that made no difference. I'm stumped.
I'm using Windows XP Pro with IIS(5.1) if that's any
    help.

  • Restart looses all CFM pages

I'm at a losss here. We upgraded from 6.1 to 7.02 via the
download install and applying CD key (Window 2003 SP2). Everytime
we upgrade part one goes ok and then we musty run the Administrator
program, if it does complete (50%) of time nad we get to the end of
migration, then CFM pages will work until we need to make a change
and restart the service, once that happens all CFM pages fail to
load (page not found) and we get NULL 500 on the Administrator
page. The only way to recover is a uninstall and reinstall. We've
even taken to rebooting a couple times, still once we make a change
(a legit change as it runs fine in our test server) and restart the
service, it's pooched. I'm pretty sure even if we reboot the server
we'll loose it. I tried applying hotfix one and hotfix two for
7.02, they broke everything right off the bat, so we've given up on
    those.
Not even a restart of the App service can bring back the CFM
pages, there is something horribly wrong in there when a reboot
kills your CFM pages and no errors that I know whjere to look to
    see why it is happening.

Take a look at this error:

(I'll be installing a full version of MX 7 this afternoon if
nothing works, probably have to completely uninstall CFMX 6.1 first
and do a registry clean to be sure)

  • Can not test the web service in JDeveloper.

    Hi there...
I created an AppModule, added two custom methods, and generated a webservice for that. When I want to test the webservice I get the error "The Webservice Tester cannot be invoked because the WSDL document of the selected service cannot be read."
If I right the webservice and select run, I can view the web page to invoke the methods, However I am wondering why I can't test the service inside the developer.
The settings of my system are as follows:
    OS: windows 7 64bit
JDeveloper: Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.3.0 , Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.3.PS2_GENERIC_100408.2356.5660
I did not install any update for JDeveloper...
So if anyone is having an idea what this problem is let me know.
    thanks .

It seems that even if the test web service option does not work and i get the error, it is possible to run the web service, and then by clicking on the link in the log the tester in jdeveloper appears.
Don't know the reason for such strange behavior.

    Hi Stephan,
unless we don't ask for it, please do not post this much content. This might be suitable for support messages, but not for this forum. There might be situations where you get asked for more information, but a post like this one just scares of anyone who might know an answer.
Also, your thread title does not give any information on your problem, as a "dump when testing web pages" can be anything.
I would suggest to re-state your question, just giving the information that others need.
I haven't worked with CRM, but I wonder if this is a custom application or a shipped one.

  • Dreamweaver 8 not responding on cfm page

I have an existing .cfm page that I'm adding
<cfqueryparam> tags to several queries. Once I add the new
code if I try to highlight it in code view Dreamweaver quits
responding and peggs my processor and also uses around a gig of
physical ram. This continues until I end the Dreamweaver task using
Task Manager. The code is valid and works correctly through a web
browser but hangs as soon as I try to select any text in
dreamweaver. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this type of
issue and if so is there a way to stop it? Thanks in
    advance.

I don't know if this is easier for you, but if you have more
    than one
stick of RAM, you might try pulling them out one at a time.
    You might
    have a bad stick.

  • How can i test my vpn connection?

so recently i decided to test if ver 1.3.0.3 of the quickvpn client would work better with the 1.3.0.5 rvs4000 firmware. i loaded quickvpn to an xp pro computer (freshly built, i might add) and got to work. in order to test the connection, i attempted to piggy back off an unsecured wireless network. this network is on the same ISP network as i am.
i use dynamic DNS, and the unsecured wireless network could resolve my IP correctly, but for some reason i couldnt connect to my home network from the unsecured network. my router is set to respond to lan requests, but i couldnt ping it. my router passes HTTP traffic to a computer in my network, but i couldnt bring up the webpage. finally, my router responds with the router config page over port 443, and i couldnt bring that up.
so i used my ISP's dialup service to test. initially, as always, i had a million problems with the vpn client. systematically, i tried to resolve the issues. i installed the patch in the readme for quickvpn. i checked log files to see where stuff was failing. eventually, i could connect to the VPN, but would get that "remote gateway is not responding" crap. i know of a (poor) workaround for this which allows you to "finalize" the connection, but that workaround doesnt allow you to ping around in your network. sometime later, after randomly messing with settings, the tunnel would connect without the workaround. i have no idea what "fixed" this.
despite all this, my 28.8Kbps connection wouldnt allow me to do anything meaningful on my network. i couldnt connect to the router or to a server of mine (http or fileshare). the only thing i could do was ping internal devices. other requests seemed to "hang" rather than timeout or do anything more concrete. basically, i gave up on testing using dialup, even though my router and the client software confirm a good connection. but i still wasnt convinced.
next, i figured i could create some type of "DMZ" on my network by placing a switch between my ISP's modem and my router. im not a cisco network professional by any means, but im pretty familiar with networking on a above-average level. that said, despite my best, i couldnt get my quickvpn computer to see my router from the "DMZ".
finally, i figured i could just test the tunnel while directly connected to my network's lan. bad idea. everything seems to go okay until it locks up on "activating policy". rebooting or otherwise ending the negotiation ends in the computer being unable to do anything anymore. when i try to ping anything, i get "negotiating ip security" ad infinitum. the only way i could fix this was by doing a system restore.
so here's the question: how can i test my quickvpn connection?why can't i just tunnel through my network? and before you scream that you can't, thegreenbow vpn client has NO PROBLEM connecting to my rvs4000 while connected to my own network.

    Hi Aaron,
I am going exactly the same thing as you however, I had my cousin buy and install a RVS4000 at his house in Australia.
I access it from the USA so that I can help manage his Local Area Network, he is just not technical..
I setup a DDNS client on his RVS4000 so that I can always get to his Router via a domain name rather than a IP address.
I noticed that you didn't mention anything regarding importing client certificate into the directory of the VPN client on your PC.
I also noticed I disabled IPSec passthrough on the router in Australia, see the pictures below, not sure why, but the VPN client is working.
I also did not setup any gateway to gateway VPN tunnels, Only added a client , exported certificate as per the manual, See the last screen capture below.
You will also note if you view the screen captures that my cousins RVS4000 has not been upgraded to the new code.Is there a reason for that...not really...he's just a user, not really technical.  Also note I have not added any VPN tunnels on my RVS4000.
I have a reasonably reliable connection between the USA and Australia. I didn;t have to play with any other options, just add users to the VPN client database.
    Your description of the working environment of your PC is missing details on the version of XP, so i will mention the following taken from the software release notes of the RVS4000 ;
There is a known issue with Windows XP SP2 Firewall.
ICMP packets are always dropped by the firewall when the firewall is enabled.
This issue causes the QuickVPN client to be unable to establish a tunnel with the remote QuickVPN server successfully.
Microsoft has released a patch to fix this issue, which you can get from:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889527/en-us
After you install the patch, the issue should be resolved. You can also fix this issue by upgrading Windows XP to SP3.
You cannot plug a PC on the same network as the router for testing, they must be on dissimilar WAN  networks for testing purposes.
Your remote  PC VPN client will not be allocated a IP address in the RVS4000's network, hosts behind the RVS4000 will still respond to pings, as they direct the responses to their default gateway, the RVS4000.
The thegreenbow VPN client is a distracter at this point costing 50 something EURO  for a license, lets try to get the quickVPN client working !
    So, if you still wish try the following, firstly make sure your XP has been upgraded to  SP3;
    1.  If you upgraded your router to the new version of code, then reset your router to factory defaults to re-initialize your router, yes start again.
    2.  Export the VPN client certificate to the directory that contains the VPN client.  In my case it is;
               "C:\Program Files\Cisco Small Business\QuickVPN Client"
    3.  add a VPN client account to the router
    4.  Use port 60443 from the quickVPN client. and try  VPNing to the router.
5  hmmm, if the client still fails try disabling IPSec Passthrough on the router for grins and giggles.
    If this fails, call the SBSC at the following location for resolution;
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/tsd_cisco_small_business_support_center_contacts.html
    good luck ...regards Dave

  • .cfm pages won't display on CF10 on Windows server 2008

I have a new VPS setup that has CF10 running on a Windows 2008 box.  My site is setup in IIS and I can navigate to any root folder in browser.  That's because the root folder(s) recognizes index.cfm as a default page.  However, any time I click a link or manually enter a URL string that contains ".cfm" (even on index.cfm pages that display without the actual full path written out) it throws a 404 error.  Has anyone else run into this?  I know the site is running correctly because like I said, if you enter the following URL: http://www.kyndoutdoors.com/ it will display correctly.  However, if you enter http://www.kyndoutdoors.com/index.cfm it will error.  HELP!

The wildcard handler handles urls without filenames (http://www.kyndoutdoors.com/), and that appears to be working.  However, the specific IIS handler mappings for "*.cfm" does not appear to be.  You might try using the ColdFusion Web Server Configuration Tool (WSConfig) to remove the IIS connectors (then restart IIS), and then re-add the connectors.
Another thought: were your IIS sites added to IIS after ColdFusion was installed and configured for IIS?  If so, the connectors appear to not be propogating forward for new sites.  I've seen this behavior before with ColdFusion 9 and IIS 7.5, but CF10 seems to handle this better.  Again, removing and re-adding the connectors seems to resolve these situations for me.
    EDIT:
Hmmm. 404 errror actually makes me think this may be a file permissions issue.  What account is the ColdFusion service running as?  Make sure that account has permissions to the folder containing your website(s).
