Hello, so I am trying to top up my account on Skype but it keeps on throwing me off saying cannot purchase. I have tried to go and do it through the website As well. Anyone know what to do???

I don't use credit card, that's the thing, so paypal wallet top-up is the only fast option for me. The option "post funds into paypal > and top-up wallet after" is something I didn't tried yet, will try, but don't really think it will work. Problem is happening before PayPal, it's some crap happening on Sony account page, while age personal id verification, i mean i can't even reach the point where it asks "enter your paypal login and password". Thanks for that tip anyway, will try and post if it worked.

I'm really getting irritated that something so basic still doesn't work, and there doesn't seem to be much concern about fixing it. Yesterday, when I went to the chat feature and asked for an update on JIRA Trouble Ticket (SIPTSOB-371), I got fobbed off with the ticket isn't old enough to have any information (clearly they didn't even bother to check). Further, I was told to check here, instead, à la "don't call us, we'll call you", where's there's been no official activity or update of any kind for at least a day.
This is pretty basic; I create accounts so I can allocate credits, which causes me to buy more, which is one way Skype makes money. So, since I can't even create an account, I guess that sort of makes me wonder if you guys are really in business or not?

I signed up for skype in 2008. Downloaded the app some years later and started using on electronic devices. Bought credit through iTunes. On sept 26th received 3 strange emails from skype telling me that 1. my “skype credit active again,” 2. “currency conversion from USD to EUR was successful,” and 3. “registered email changed to [e-mail removed for privacy and security].” None of these changes were brought on by me so I went about getting my account frozen/released.
In trying to deal with this hacked Skype account, I had to create a Microsoft account. I used the same email tied to the hacked Skype account – [e-mail removed for privacy and security]. When I tried to linking this Microsoft account to my Skype username, it didn’t recognize my password so I reset it. My Skype username didn’t recognize the reset password, only the Microsoft account registered to e[e-mail removed for privacy and security] allowed me to use the reset password.
My question is how can I link the two if I can’t get access to my old Skype account. My “new” Microsoft account uses my old address but now has live: in front of it, but has none of my old account history, contacts, information etc…I have tried reinstalling the programs on all devices but am never prompted to link accounts as seen in tutorials. Even if I were, I wouldn't be able to sign in to my Skype account.

From the description I understand that you're having problems switching your local account to a Microsoft account and are receiving the error message: "The password you signed in with is different from your password for your Microsoft account".

Help!- can't pay for my father's skype account

I helped my father ( who is currently in china) set up a skype account and link that account to one of my credit card set as auto-recharge. So that he can talk to me or his other friend in NA.
It worked fine until my credit card expired. I am trying logged in as him on skype website and updated the credit card infomation, but it always link to chinese version website, which has totally different way to get credit and I can't use any of my credit card pay for that. (Cause they are all the banks from china)
I just want to do same thing as i am here, $14 purchase, once it is lower than $4, re-charge!
(I also don't want he ends up paying cause it is kinda a gift from me.)

It seems such Skype account would have been tied up with Chinese Partner's business and will not be able to be free from that tie.
I suggest that your father will use that account until Skype Credit comes down to zero, then forget about that account. On the other hand, you, a good person not living in China, will do the things all from the beginning, such as:-
1. create new account and
2. buy initial Skype Credit with your new Credit Card details with such an important feature, auto-recharge, ON.
Then this new account will be a new gift to your father.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.

Can I get my iTunes account back once it's been hacked?

So yesterday morning while I was still sleeping I got a couple of strange emails from Apple/iTunes. I discovered them when I woke up, and sadly it seemed too late to do anything about them.
The first one was an email with the subject of "Your new do-it-all Apple ID" and in the body of the email "Thanks for shopping at the Apple Online Store" then it said "Your Apple ID: <my apple ID>" telling me what my apple ID was (which I already knew...I set this particular ID up back in 2009).
The email seemed strange since I haven't made any purchases recently, and didn't do anything new with my ID lately...but I thought maybe Apple was just sending emails out to everyone more as advertising since the email talked about all the things you could do with your ID, and had links to the online store, retail stores, and iTunes.
The 2nd email I noticed was sent several hours later, and said that "The following information for your Apple ID <my apple ID> was updated on 9/11/2011
Shipping and/or billing address
Credit Card
It then said that if I believed these were made in error, or if they were unauthorized then I needed to immediately go to iforgot.apple.com
These changes weren't authorized and I went to the web site, however, it said I couldn't access my account...I had the wrong password, when I tried to get my password neither the email option worked (email never arrived to my email), and when I tried to do the security question, my answers weren't correct (the person must have changed all my account info?).
Nonetheless, I tried contacting Apple and the solution the representative gave me was to just get a different email, and open a new iTunes account with my new email. Uhhhhh...What?
So all of my purchases are gone? The apps that need updating on my iPhone can no longer be updated because I can't connect it to an iTunes account.
Is there anything I can do to get my account back? Anyone have success with this sort of thing, or am I just out the money for all the apps and audiobooks I've purchased over the past 2 years?

Yes you can change your printer's ePrint address:
Sign into ePrintCenter.com.
At the top of the ePrint box, next to the printer's ePrint address in blue you should find a change button.

First of all you should really post this in Itunes forums cause you might get more hits on it.. Anyway.. You can only authorize up to 5 comps on one itunes account.. This does not include iOS devices. Those you can have 10.
So to fix this issue, open itunes, hit store on the left side, click log in (or your e-mail address if you are already logged in) in the top right hard corner of the page. One you log into your account you will see a a little area where it says you authorized 5 out of 5 comps. Below it should be a button to clear all those out. Itunes will de-authorize all computers on the account then you need to go back Store tab in the menu bar and select authorize this computer.
Remember it will deauthorize all your computers, so you need to re-authorize any other computers you have.

It sounds like you would like to download your iTunes purchases to your computer rather than streaming them from iTunes in the Cloud. I recommend downloading your purchases directly to your computer using the Purchases page in the iTunes Store:
Download previous iTunes Store purchases to an authorized computer
Click iTunes Store near the top of the iTunes window.
Click the Purchased link at the right of the iTunes Store homepage (below Quick Links).
In the page that appears, select a category.
iTunes shows you which of your purchases are available for download. You can view all of your past purchases, or just the ones not currently in your iTunes library. Items already in your library aren’t available for download. If you select Music, you can view your purchases by song, artist, or album. If you’re viewing by album, click an album to see which songs on it are available for downloading.
To download all available items, click Download All.

i followed your link on how to delete content from all things Apple, and nothing removes books, movies, music... it just gives said device(s) the iCloud/download icon on top of the book, movie... not sure what the 'hide' purchase actually does - after X'ing/hide, everything STILL appears across all devices using that account. could you clarify this any further?
if i am understanding iTunes correctly, then EVERYTHING we download (free or purchased) will be FOREVER accessible with zero way for us to control what is filling up this mysterious vault called the cloud? (creepy- apple is keeping EVERYTHING, what happens when the cloud gets full?)
since we have iCloud.com and it shows our "stuff" that we iCloud sync from our devices such as notes, contacts, calendar... then why doesn't apple provide an iCloud.com tab that shows ALL of our purchases so we as CONSUMERS control/delete what is in our account?

Click "Account" under Quick Links at the top right of the iTunes store. Next to payment information click "Edit" and then select "None" under payment method.
On an iOS device go to Settings>Store>Apple ID>View Apple ID>Payment Information>None.

Using iTunes:
Sign in with the Apple I.D.
Click "Store" from the top and select "view my account"
Re-enter your password (if asked for). It should now display your "Account Information"
Next to the "payment Information" there is "Edit" button. click it and in next window select "None"
Using iPhone:
Go to "Settings", then "Store" and click on your "Apple I.D".
A window will pop up; select "View Apple ID"
Enter your "Password"
It will show your Account information. Click on "payment information" and select "None"
