Can't transfer HD video to my iPhone

I'm using an iphone 4 running iOS 5.1. I purchased an HD season of a TV show from itunes, but the videos won't transfer to my phone. I tried a restore, tried disabling the itunes helper, neither have worked. The same account on my phone is the one I purchased with. I'm at a loss.

Even though apple's website seems to suggest the iphone 4 can handle 1080 HD video, when I switched my download preference to 720 and re-downloaded, it trandferred no problem.

Windows XP cannot import video files larger than 500 MB using Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can transfer these files directly from your device by selecting them in My Computer and dragging or copying the movie files to your computer's hard drive.

I can't transfer the video on my iPhone to my PC. Whenever i pplug the phone in to my computer, only the actual photos saved as JPEG show up. I have tried unlocking my phone before connecting, still no video. Tried right clicking the folder in the "devices and drives" list, it will not bring up the video.
What am I missing here?

A movie purchased from iTunes can only be played on iPods, iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs and authorized computers. Even if you transferred the movie to a flash drive, it wouldn't play on your DVD player.

Are these photos you took with your old iPhone? If so, import them to your computer (as they should have been in the first place). Once on your computer, synch them to your new iPhone.

Did you fail to maintain a backup copy?
If so, then you can buy a third party program to extract the music not purchased from itunes.
Itunes purchases can be transferred to your computer: File>Transfer Purchases.

The way I do it is I hook to my windows computer, it will pop up iTunes. I click iTunes off. The phone will show as another drive on your computer. Click it open then migrate to the photos folder from the iPhone.
Then select all, cut then right click on your pictures folder on your computer or make a new folder on your desk top like I do and right click on new folder and select paste.
Photos will be gone. Just remember to turn off the iPhone sync in your photos folder on the phone or they will come back

You cannot. The music must be in the iTunes library first. See these User Tips:
