Can't transfer huge video

I've been able to transfer video from my 920 to laptop fine via bluetooth. Filesize range from 28mb to 40mb. Those are like 10-15 second 1080p recording.
Yesterday, I captured a video for almost 5 mins. I am not sure how big the file is but bluetooth just quits and doesn't even initiate the connection. I've been looking for a free ftp client but I can't any. I created an html form but when I visited the form, the browse window doesn't popup.
Not sure if I can mount this phone as a usb device. Any more ideas?

Not sure here, but perhaps there is a limit to the size of files that can be transferred over Bluetooth. The biggest file I've transferred to my 920 is a 8 minute music video that weighs in at 325MB (@1080p). Now, for a five minute captured video I would guess the size would be in the 100's of MB's.
I would suggest transferring that video using the USB cable provided with the 920, it would be a much faster transfer and more reliable, and not as susceptible to data transfer interruptions.

Its funny. So far the responses have been 50/50 on this question. I even asked two seperate Apple Store employees here in NYC, and got two different answers! One said yes, the other no.

I know from watching the keynote speech about icloud and iOS 5 that you will be able to cut the cord between the pc and ios devices like the ipad. No more need to sync them via a cord. So will that mean i would then be able to load video directly to the ipad via tha cam kit connector from my ipod? Also i wonder if/when Apple will allow HD video from on Apple devices like a canon dslr to be able to transfer to the ipad via the cam kit connector AND be able to EDIT that footage in imovie for the ipad. Speaking of imovie for the ipad...i hope it gets an update soon as well.
Anyway....with the macbook airs getting updated next week with thunderbolt and new sandy bridge chips....i may just get one of them instead of the ipad 2 for editing video on the road. Still...i prefer surfing the web experience on the ipad. Grrrrrrr. **** youuuuuuu Apple!!! Lol

I can't transfer the video on my iPhone to my PC. Whenever i pplug the phone in to my computer, only the actual photos saved as JPEG show up. I have tried unlocking my phone before connecting, still no video. Tried right clicking the folder in the "devices and drives" list, it will not bring up the video.
What am I missing here?

The MP4 might be errorenously packed (the case with some cameras; say, the Race Optics T.A.C.K. http://www.raceoptics.com/tackhd.php ) or, which is far more common, it has a higher H.264 level than allowed. (4.1 is allowed for synching, while a lot of Full HD videos are 4.2 or 5.1).
The best solution in these cases is
- repackaging the MP4 with avidemux (first case)
- using Subler to directly edit the level (second case)
It's certainly worth spending some time to find out which category your videos belong to and, if the second (which is highly likely) learning Subler (or, if you're on Windows, some other tools). It'll save TONS of your time (no recompression needed) and, as it won't touch the video stream, it won't degrade its quality either, unlike any kind of recompression (including using the, otherwise, excellent Handbrake).
First, check out Subler as it's most probably the solution to your problem. I've got an iPad Mini running ios 7.1.2.
I've got a Windows laptop running Windows 7 with iTunes 11.3.1.2.
I recorded a video of an interview with my elderly mother which I want to transfer to my laptop for editing and saving for the family.
I'd like to use Sync but Sync scares me every time I look at it that it will start erasing things from one place or another. Looks like the unstated assumption is "Sync" from PC to iDevice, not the direction I want to go.
So, I've done the google searching and haven't found anyone answering this issue but I've found dozens of adds from third party software I can buy to do what apple should provide for as a foundational, basic capability which leads me to think that they have purposefully not given people this capability for some reason. The iPad Mini also doesn't appear in Windows Explorer so I can't find the videos myself.
Anyone have a blessedly simple way I'm just not seeing? Is it safe to use Sync and not lose this precious video forever after it flashes its warning of erasing things?

Okay, I figured out that Windows has "AutoPlay" settings which can automatically download photos and videos from a newly connected device, such as an iPad Mini. I think I could open it in Windows Explorer too that way but the auto download solved my problem.
