Can't transfer large video file to windows desktop

File is about 45 minutes.  I copied it but wasn't able to play it using QuickTime or QuickTime alternative, .mov.  Other laptop has low disk space

Also tried connecting it to my bro's Mac but it wouldn't recognize the iPad

I can't transfer the video on my iPhone to my PC. Whenever i pplug the phone in to my computer, only the actual photos saved as JPEG show up. I have tried unlocking my phone before connecting, still no video. Tried right clicking the folder in the "devices and drives" list, it will not bring up the video.
    What am I missing here?

You could check your approach against this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  If you are still having trouble you could try an app that will send it wirelessly, such as PhotoSync.

Windows XP cannot import video files larger than 500 MB using Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can transfer these files directly from your device by selecting them in My Computer and dragging or copying the movie files to your computer's hard drive.

  • Cannot transfer large video files to PC

This seems to be a common problem according to a google search but I have not seen a solution. I have a brand new 16G 3GS iphone and cannot transfer a largish video file (768MB) to my PC using any method (file manager, itunes, windows camera download etc). I just end up with a 0kb file. Smaller files work fine. Any help?

Me too. I tried to trim the video into smaller parts for transfer but it the trimmed copy doesn't show-up in File Explorer. I'll let you know if I figure out a way.

  • Can't copy large video file from iPhone

I have several video recorded on my 3GS. When connected via USB to a Windows XP computer it shows up as "camera device" and I can usually copy photos and videos from it.
However, today I found I was unable to copy a 584MB video I recorded yesterday.
I have another 300MB video I can simply drag and drop or copy paste without problems; but the 584MB one simple freezes the window for a while, and then I get a copied file in the destination with size zero.
Has anyone faced similar problems? (or better yet, how can I get that file "out" of the iphone?)
    [Using iPhone 3GS 3.0]

Trying it in a different PC (this one with Windows 7) solved the issue.
It copied without any problem - though there were issues for the iPhone to be detected correctly in windows 7.
It would show up as an incorrect USB MTP Device and failed to mount it - it required "uninstalling" the device and scanning for new hardware in device manager to show up properly (this had to be done everytime the iPhone was plugged in.)

  • Can't get large video file from iPod to Mac

It seems to be working for everything else, but... I shot a 1.9GB video on my new iPod Touch 4G, and it won't import. Both Image Capture and iPhoto throw import errors for that file.
    Any ideas?
It plays back fine on the iPod, and the smaller files I've shot on it have imported just fine.

I have the same problem on windows... Recorded a 12 min vid & i can't import it to my deskop. I did a test with another 12 min vid & i got the same problem

  • How can I transfer large files from my iPad to PC-windows?

I have several videos on my iPad (recorded using the iPad camera).  I am trying to get these transferred to my PC-Windows. When I connect the iPad to the PC and try drag-and-drop from the Camera icon, video files greater than 600MB appear with a zero (0 KB) size on the PC.
This issue has been reproduced using 3 different PCs (Windows XP, Windows 7).
I have tried the PC-Windows Camera wizard to transfer files (instead of Drag-and-Drop) and I get the same result.
ITunes does not have an option (on Windows) to transfer these video files (from PC to iPad).
I am using an iPad 2 with iOS 6.0.1.
Note: the video files play fine on the ipad.

Yes, I have tried. All smaller videos and photos transfer fine. It is only with videos > 500 MB that get created on Windows with 0 (zero) size (the file name gets created on windows but with 0 Bytes).
Let me add that I do not see the "DCIM" option from Windows Explorer. I only see the folder under Scanner and Cameras.
Anything I need to do to see "DCIM"? I do see DCIM when I connect my iPhone 4 to the same computer, but not the iPAD.
    Thanks

  • How can I send a large video file from my iPhone 4?

How can I send (by text) a (fairly) large video file from my iPhone 4 without it getting compressed first?
If that's not possible is there a way to uncompress the video file one it is received onto the receiving iPhone?
Or is there a way to sync or transfer a video file from iPhone to iPhone?

ExFAT would be the best file system format, as it will handle files greater than 4GB.
If exFAT is not available, go for FAT32.
Just FAT is too limiting, so avoid that

  • Can I transfer my CS5 files from my Windows 7 computer to my Mac Yosemite computer and have them work with CS6 for Mac?

I am using Dreamweaver CS5 on a Windows 7 laptop.  I would like to change to Dreamweaver CS6 on my Mac running Yosemite.  Can I transfer my CS5 files from the  Windows computer to the Mac and will CS6 be able to work those files on the Mac?  I do not need nor want a subscription account.  Just the stand-alone program for occasional tweeks to my web site.  at www.longwayhome.com.
It is a realtively simple web site that requires only simple editing from time to time.
    Ed Dover

Yes, your files in CS5 are just .html, .css, .php and .js files, there's nothing that makes them "CS5 versions" of those file types.
You can do it a couple different ways, but the easiest would be to copy the folder being used as the root directory (and all of it's contents) from one machine to the other, then on the new machine, simply set up a new site definition, using that newly copied folder as the local root.
If you want, you can export your site settings (FTP and whatnot) on the old machine...
Go to Site > Manage Site> click the site you want > Export
Copy the resulting .ste file along with the local root folder to the new machine
On the new machine go to Site > Manage Sites > import to bring in the .ste
Relink that new site to the newly copied root folder
