Can't transfer my own recordin

For the past 2-3 years, I've used my Zen Micro 5GB to record public city meetings (Mayor & Council, Planning Board, etc.) so I could burn those minutes onto a CD at a later date. This past Wednesday I've been getting an error message popping up on my computer that reads: "Zen Micro Media Explorer 'Access to the file is denied'" with the only option to press the 'OK' button. Why can't I transfer a file I created (a .wav recording), using the explorer software from Creative, from the device onto my desktop to be burned onto a CD?
The player works otherwise perfectly, it plays music and continues to record fine, but when I try to retrieve my recordings and put them on my laptop, I get this error message.
I've tried to D/L and install the firmware updates, but it says it will erase all my recordings in the device if I update the firmware, and I can't lose these recordings, they're public records!
Is there anyone who can help?

Awesome! Thank you for your reply!?You are correct - it was having a "problem" to start off with - one of the three recordings I had on the player wouldn't transfer off the player onto my laptop. It read 'access denied' or something like that. Everything else worked fine, in fact I was able to transfer two other recordings to CD with no problem. The music player worked, the clock worked, everything else I used the?MP3 player?for worked as it had?since February of '05,?I just now tried to get my co-worker's computer to recognize my player - he has a Zen Micro 8GB. Maybe the software that came with his isn't the same as what came with mine, but his computer would not recognize that my player was connected, either. We could not re-load any firmware onto my player because of this. When I turn the MP3 player on now, after the 'Creative' logo screen, it starts right up in?Recovery Mode. Even when it is docked (with the two arrows), it reads 'Recovery Mode', with the options -4 listed. But when I hook it up to a computer, and try to do #3, it fails, because no computer is sending it any information I guess. I personally do not have the Creative software loaded onto any other computer other than my laptop (not even my work computer), and I'm not sure where the original disk is that came with?my player. I could try to uninstall and then reinstall the Creative management software off of then onto my laptop, but I need to find my disc first. Or can I download the latest copy of the Creative management software from the web site?

    Yes - you can sync both iPads to the same computer's iTunes. You can either have the same or different content on them, you can use the Music, Apps, Films etc tabs to select which of your content to sync to each device, and your computer's iTunes should remember your selection for when you next connect that device.

    Just get copies of the song files and add them to your iTunes library.  With the exception of any DRM-protected files (purchased before mid-2009 and never upgraded) they will play fine, even though they are technically associated with the original account.

    Im not sure wether I got you right or not. But my advice/s would be as follows:
    These steps help you get rid of old apps you downloaded years ago and you do not use anymore.(Also frees space on your mac after emptying the trash)
    1) go to iTunes and delete all applications in it. Make sure to move them to trash! Do not empty your trash yet. Its your backup if step 3 doesnt appear.
    2) connect both your devices(one after each other) and make a backup. !!!Dont press the Sync button, press the Back Up Now Button
    3) Then it asks you if you want to backup applications as well. Confirm. (This is how apps get transferred manually)
    4) Then Sync your devices... The first time it might be, that there are some additional apps loaded to your devices you dont want to.. delete them on your Device (not iTunes) and after that you should be good every time you sync again.
    5) now you can empty your trash on your mac.
    Further,
    - You should regularly connect your devices with iTunes to make sure they are backed up. (Even if you have activated iCloud backup, the iTunes backup is more proper i.e.. Apps)
    - If you hate scrolling through a list of apps in iTunes, you can re/install apps directly on iOS not via iTunes. I absolutely never go to the "Applications" section in iTunes. I install and delete apps directly on iOS.

    If you want to share iTunes purchases between multiple accounts in the same family you could use Family Sharing.

    I've done this before. First, I had the current acct owner call in and say it's okay for me to assume liability on the line. Next, I called in and explained that the owner already called and gave permission for me to assume the line. Notes were on the account. I was transferred to the assumption of liability dept, I accepted the terms and conditions and we were good to go. The old owner will get a final bill up until the point of transfer and you will get a new bill starting at the point of transfer.

    The music and apps you downloaded through your mother's account will always be associated with her account.  You can't transfer them to another account that you create for yourself.  I suppose this is a corporate restriction which was designed to prevent one user from sharing/transfering Apps and tunes to other users.  From a business and legal perspective, it makes sense because developers of apps and the producers of music are required to receive their royalties for their products each time they are sold/downloaded.

    You can't. Apple will not merge IDs and Apple will not move content from one ID to another.
    There is no need for a new ID, just change the primary email address in the current ID and change your password if you are concerned about security.

  • I can't get my own videos in iTunes 6

    I just bought the new iPod video 30GB, and downloaded the new version is iTunes (v. 6) for my PC, and i am trying to import my own videos (yes, they are mpeg 4, so i know they are compatible with iTunes 6 and my new iPod). I found an article that said drag-and-drop is the way to transfer your own videos to iTunes, but that isn't working. There is no option or menu that asks which folder i want my videos from (like you can do with photos in the preferences menu). I tried calling Applecare, and they want to charge me because their own FREE product doesn't work. Does anybody know how to work this, or encountered this problem?

    I found the answer to my own problem, and probably yours as well. I knew ahead of time that the new iPod video would only be able to play mpeg 4 videos (or quicktime videos), and i could've sworn these were mpeg, but they were .wmv instead.. so i found another discussion that suggested using Nero 2 to change the format to mpeg4, and that worked! i changed the format for all my little videos in no time using Nero 2 (downloaded from download.com), and now dragging and dropping still doesn't work, but i found out the answer again: create a folder specific for all your little videos, then go to File >> Add Folder to Library... and then select your folder. It will automatically put all your new mpeg4 videos in the video portion of iTunes and update to your iPod accordingly... now my only problem is my new mpeg4 videos look like UTTER CRAP on my iPod... if i fix that problem i will get back to .. me.. on that...
