Hi, I have rented 3 films from itunes and I am trying to download onto my ipad, but an error message says that they cannot be transferred as they are already downloaded to another device but I have not downloaded them. How can I find out how it happened and what device?

There is no work around, you must wait the 90 days (or however long is remaining) before associating the device with another Apple ID.
Keep in mind that if you log into your mother's iPad with your iTunes Store Apple ID she will then be using that Apple ID for everything including purchases. Any apps purchsed with her Apple ID can not longer be updated on the device.

My understanding is that rented movies can be viewed on only one device - the device that originally received the movie. Consequently, they can not be synced.
I can not explain why you see them twice in iTunes.

Hello, thank you for your prompt answer. I did have an idea that Home sharing might be the answer but could not quite figure out how to do it. I have enabled home sharing in my iTunes account, put in username and password, clicked on creat etc. But the homs sharing icon doew not appear in the left side of iTunes. So I got stuck. Did you restore your iCloud backup? That should recover camera roll photos.

Rentals can only play on one device/computer at a time. Have you tried to play on the computer and still have that window open?
Have you transferred the rental to iPod/iPhone or iPad to watch?

Problem report: "Can't open the illustration. The image has already been specified, it cannot be changed."

I got a problem with my files I created in Illustrator CS6. After I closed them and wanted them to open up again, this problem report popped up:
"Can't open the illustration. The image has already been specified, it cannot be changed."
If I click OK, there is a white site with nothing on it. No object, no pictures, nothing.
The Illustrator file has still the right size and when I start ArtFiles to collect all used pictures and fonts it's no problem.
In Adobe Bridge there is still a preview of the original file and I can see what HAS to be placed in the file.
Can anybody help me out?
We had to make all the work again for a presentation but this is not the solution for this problem if that will happen in the future again.

Actually there is no CS5 installed on our computers (no more). I will try to get one from our admin. Hope this will work! In the meantime we had this problem several times.

It depends on if you even have a backup. If you had a backup, I don't suppose that you would have to ask how to restore from it.
Did you backup your old iPad? If you so, did you backup with iTunes or iCloud? This explains how to backup and how to restore from a backup, but once again, if you don't have that backup any longer, this will not work.

I did the reset, the pc scrren said it would take about a half hour reseting which is ok. But midway through the process it apparently disconnected itself from the Ipad and the ipad icon disappeared from the itunes screen. Will try process again see if it works. Thanks for the suggestion.

I just upgraded my iPhone 4S to a 6Plus. I also have an iPad2 and an iPad Mini. I read on all 3 devices depending on where I'm going at the time. In my OverDrive settings on my iPad/Mini it says it is authorized by Adobe ID <and my email address>. On the 6Plus settings it says it is authorized by OverDrive account <and my email address>. How do I get the Adobe ID authorized on my 6Plus. Please??? and Thank you.

I'm sorry I gave the impression I thought Overdrive was an Adobe product. I know it is not. The problem I am having IS with the Adobe product and the message I receive concerning "This license has already been fulfilled....." appears to be the result of the Adobe product. I had Googled Adobe Digital and discovered what I felt were conflicting or at least ambiquus statement including: http://http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1232101.
Anyone else have any thoughts? I DID send a help request to Overdrive but have not yet heard back from them.

I tried to restore my iPad 4, but at the end of the process iTunes says it's unable to restore because there is a password. Then it tells me to enter my password, but the iPad is disabled. Any suggestions?

You can't.
If your contacts are being synced over the air with one of several free email accounts that support it such as with an Apple iCloud account, Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail, you don't need to do this. Your contacts will be restored after Contacts are turned back on for over the air syncing with the email account that supports it.
