Can't turn off auto quantizing

I'm a little new to Logic, but from what I can tell, I've done everything I should. I'm trying to record 16th note triplets, and the notes show up as triplets in the piano roll while I'm recording, but then are automatically quantized to straight 16ths when I stop. In the screenshot below, you can see that I've got quantization turned off in the piano roll window and in the inspector at right. Am I missing something else? Thanks in advance.

Well sheesh. I figured it out myself, once I realized what the "inspector" actually is. So, if anyone else has this problem later on, click somewhere in a blank area on the track you're trying to record, so that you de-select any previously recorded regions. In the inspector (which will be to the left of the arrange area - click the "i" at upper left if you don't see the inspector), expand the "Region" section, and set the quantization there.

Can't turn off auto correct

Im having trouble with turning my auto correct off.
I just updated to yosemite, and i can't turn off the auto correct.
I've gone into settings > keyboard > Text > and un ticked the auto correct box, but it will not stop auto correcting.
Ive had this problem with my previous version of OS X as well.
anyone got any suggestions? i do a lot of typing with abbreviations, and its changing things all the time.

Have you tried resetting the Keyboard Dictionary? Settings>General>Reset>Reset Keyboard Dictionary. It is a totally different setting that really shouldn't impact auto correct all - its merely a suggestion borne out of the "Throw enough crap against the wall and hope that something will stick" mentality.
If nothing else works, another standard procedure would be to restore your iPad. If you can restore from a backup that predates this issue, that should work for you.

I can't turn off auto correct on iPad

When I type an emai, the auto correct above the keyboard keeps suggesting words. I have gone into Settings-General and turned off Auto-Correction (and everything else too). But when I type an email or go into Safari on my iPad, it keeps suggesting words that makes no sense and makes it very inefficient for me. Does anyone know why even after turning auto correction off, it still is enabled?

Is there a way to turn off auto-correct in my iPad? It makes unwanted changes, and distracts me from my writing. I was able to turn off auto-correct in Safari on my Macs, and that has made things much better.

How can I turn off auto-hide menu bar in Terminal app?

This is soooo anoying. Open terminal app in fullscreen mode, open a few tabs, now when you move your mouse to the top to click on a new tab, the menu bar shows itself and covers the tabs.
I want to turn off this feature to auto-hide the menu bar. I would much rather have it move all the tabs down a bit when the menu bar apprears.
Any ideas to help fix the issue?

Can't turn that off. It's a feature of full screen mode. If you place your mouse at the bottom of the tab you want to select, the Terminal Menu bar doesn't pop up for me.

How can I turn off auto arrange?

I uploaded some photos to my computer from two different cameras and arranged them all so they would be in the correct order together. When I tried to then upload them to Facebook, I clicked "select photos" which brought up the photos for me to choose but they were arranged out of the order I had put them in. I clicked the view menu and saw that "Auto Arrange" was checked, so I unchecked it but it did not arrange the photos back to the way I had them. How can I make it to where they will show up in the order I put them in when I bring them up in Firefox to upload to a website?

"None" does not show up in my "arrange by." There are several sorting options available but no way to turn them off, nor to keep the icons from slamming to the right side of the screen. There must be some way to turn this auto arranging off. I don't want all my desktop icons on the right, and I don't necessarily want one of the few apple sorting options.

I have a new iPhone 3G 8gb. I am looking for a way to turn off the auto dial feature when you tap on a recent call, favorite, etc. I keep accidentally dialing people...would like to find a way to prevent that. I look forward to suggestions!! Thanks.

There is not a way to do so except for not selecting a Favorite or a recent call. The Favorites option is designed for this very thing - a speed dial for the people you call most often, and select a recent call does the same.
You can select on the far right - the area with the right facing arrow in a blue circle icon and the number will not be automatically dialed. This can be used to view the contact info for a favorite, or to add a recent call to the address book if not already entered.

I want to turn off the stupid auto spell, everytime I try to type something it changes my word to something else. does anybody know if and where it can be done? ive looked everywhere.

This does not totally answer your question, but if you just click on the word it is 'suggesting' - it will not change the word - but use the one you typed. I agree it is kinda helpful - but annoying at the the same time....I could personally live without it.

Can't turn off auto update

I want to turn off automatic update notification for flash. I can get to the global notification setup page and uncheck the automatic update, but there doesn't appear to be any kind of save settings button or anything on that web page. So all I do is close Internet explorer after unchecking the autoupdate box. If I then reopen internet explorer and go back to the flash global notifications page, the check for updates box is checked. How do I shut it off???

Thanks, but the page you linked to, is the page I was using, and restarting
the computer makes no difference. I can uncheck auto update, but when I bring up the setting again, it is rechecked.
Any other suggestions? If it matters, I'm in windows xp sp3 single user, with admin rights on the account.

Can't turn OFF auto-brightness sensor 2015 X1 Carbon

When I take my laptop outside, the maximum brightness actually goes down a notch or two (it should go up!) so I'm thinking even though I am manually upping the brightness to maximum, the sensor is overruling me. Maximum indoor brightness is higher than maximum outdoors because of the sensor - go figure!
Is there a way to turn off the auto-brightness sensor on a 2015 X1 Carbon?
I've seen others with 2014 X1's say you can turn off the ALS (Ambient Light Sensor) in the Devices Control Panel under Sensors but there is no such setting for me in my 2015 X1. I looked everywhere I could but can't find that toggle anywhere.

Adjusts display brightness on its own but can't find a setting under Power Options or the Intel driver to stop it from doing it (two options that were listed by others as solutions to the same problem...where is it hidden on my system?)
