Can't turn off Find my Iphone IOS 7.1.2

Accidentally my iphone restore the back of up of my exgf iphone, when i'm trying to restore back up for myself i can't because she logged on to icloud with her email add and the find my iphone is on and i tried so many things/tricks but i can't turn it off.  I did the restore the factory settings and it gets worse, now it's asking again her apple id and the password.  I called the apple customer service if there is any other way around but his advice was if i can contact my exgf and ask for the password, which i did, but unfortunately that email add was deleted and she can't even reset the password.  so not i don't know what else to do. please advice.

If she does not know her password, Apple's iForgot service can reset it via methods other than email. She should go to appleid.apple.com, hit iForgot, and reset it via a means other than email.
If the password cannot be retrieved, the device will be unusable.

  • I can not restore because I can not turn off Find my Iphone

    Hello,
I'm using iphone 5 with ios 7. I just upgraded ios 7 today. after upgrade I realised that passcode was activated before upgrade I was not using that feature. I forgot my passcode so I got my phone disabled for a while. I searched the discussions and saw that I need to restore and then restore from back up to have the passcode to disable. When I try to restore my phone I got the below message:
Find My iPhone must be turned off before “Jean” can be restored.
Go to iCloud Settings on your iPhone and turn off Find My iPhone before restoring your iPhone.
I can not turn off Find my Iphone because my phone locked and I forgot the passcode.
    Anyone can help?

Follow the steps above to remove it from the account, but then
"After the device has been removed from the account, turn it off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button located on the top right side of the device. Then restart your device and proceed with device setup as you would normally. "

  • How can I turn off find my iPhone to restore when it won't let me into my phone settings.

I went to use my phone last night and suddenly it says activation is required (which I'm not sure I understand alone) but I began to go through the steps and it says it can not activate because the beta has expired and I need to do a system restore. So I proceeded to do the system restore by plugging into iTunes and it tells me it  cannot do a restore unless I turn off find my iPhone but my phone will not allow me to look at any settings other than my wifi settings in its current state. How can I turn this off to proceed and what is going on with my phone in general?

Force it into recovery mode to restore it as explained here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.  Sometimes you have to do this more than once to be successful.  After restoring, you'll have to restore an existing backup, if you have one.

  • HT201252 How do I restore my iPhone when I can't turn off find my iPhone

My phone 6+ has completely frozen out.  It will turn on but there is a flicker at the top of the screen and no screen touching works.  So I can't get past the security screen.  No water damage, no magnet, not even dropped.  It just stopped working one day.
I've tried to restore factory settings via iTunes, but it says that I have to turn off 'find my iPhone' first, which involves turning on the phone to do so, which the phone won't let me do!
How do I restore my factory settings?

If it is powering up, and assuming it then connects to your wireless or wifi network, you can log into your iCloud account in a computer browser and remove it from your listed devices there.

after ive connected the phone to itunes and i click on restore backup a box pops u and says
Find my iphone must be turned off before 'My Iphone' can be restored.
Go to icloud settings on you iphone and turn off Find my Iphone before restoring your iphone.
the first time this came up i went into icloud on my computer and removed the old phone from there but from what ive read it will only be properly removed when the fone gets turned back on.

  • HT1414 I forgot my password  I cant restore because I  can't turn off find my Iphone

I forgot my password.  I can't restore the settings because I can't open the phone to turn off find my Iphone.  What can I do?

If you have Find My Phone enabled then:
Is Find My Phone turned on?
You'll have to login to iCloud.com, from any computer, locate, then erase your phone. Once done, restore from backup, if you have one.
That's the only way for you to fix this.

  • How can i turn off find my iphone when icloud says no devices connected?

I need to turn of find my iphone but can't because it says no devices connected when i sign into icloud

No...try logging in to iCloud via a computer. Go to your browser and type www.icloud.com then once you are logged in, you go to find my iPhone, under my devices, you should be able to see a list of devices that are linked to your iCloud, select the one you wanna disable and then a banner pops out, just go ahead and click on disable this iPhone and then your iCloud is going to be disabled. But mind you, you have to turn your phone off in the process of doing this. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
