Can't turn off shuffle for iTunes 11.1.5
Since iTunes upgraded, to 11.1.5, the I can't turn off shuffle. But, it only shuffles through some of my songs and artists so I hear them A LOT and other artists I don't hear at all. It's VERY annoying. The settings show that shuffle is off, but it still shuffles (still among a limited list). This appears to be a bug.
By Plays... That's interesting. I don't think I've listened to songs in that order before. Good idea. I just tried it on my Mac (latest version of Mavericks and iTunes), and it seems to work as expected, for the play order.
There is a recent new feature called Up Next. It is a song list that you can see by clicking on a symbol that looks like three lines with a dot to the left of each line; it is at the right side of the box that shows the song's info at the top of the iTunes window. It's a song list that you can add to, like a temp playlist, with songs you want to hear "next" in order (by dragging songs to the Up Next symbol). If you are just playing from a list, like your library list or playlist, the Up Next list should just show songs on the song list in order.
Does it show the expected song list order, or the oddly shuffled order? If it's the oddly shuffled list, click the button to Clear the list (at the top of the list). Then, restart playing from your song list by double clicking on a song. Does that make any difference for this problem?

Have your husband text the word "stop" to 48369. This should take his number out of the iMessage system.
Go into your settings under messaging and make sure the box to send as an SMS if iMessage is unavailable is checked.
Hopefully this will get your messages sending/receiving to each other. -

How can I turn off Genius in iTunes 10.5.3 under Lion 10.7.3 (other than disconnecting from the internet). It is no longer an option in the Store menu and although I can hide that playlist on the left through parental controls, the atom symbol is still present in the lower right of the window available to generate a list from a selected song. I have the option to turn it off. What version of iTunes are you using? I have the latest iTunes. Have you tried signing out of the store?

I play music from my iPhone via Bluetooth on the car radio. The phone also connects over the radio. Can I turn off Bluetooth for phone and leave it on for music?
I haven't tried it yet, but I believe this would disconnect Bluetooth for both the phone and music. I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata if this will help.

Can't turn off shuffle (FIXED)
So like many of you, I could not get iTunes for windows 10.1 out of shuffle mode, so I upgraded to 10.2.1.1 and::::: same friggin problem and I don't have to tell you what a deal-breaker it is when you can't tell the program how to sequence the playing of your music! Apparently this has been a known problem since 2007, sheesh you would think the kind folks at apple software development would ensure functionality of basic features. Maybe Apple is tired of supporting PCs and want to drive use to GTKPOD or Songbird - I don't know, but before you PC users give up on iTunes forever try this, it worked for me and was relatively painless.
One disclaimer - My library was stored an external drive, I would be sure when you do this that you have secured your library!
Go into the control panel, programs and remove itunes from the machine
Reboot
Download the newest version of iTunes
Go do something else for 40 minutes
Come back and Viola! your new version should allow you to turn off (and back on and back off again) the shuffle function using the button in the lower left corner of the screen.
I didn't even have to re-create the media folder settings or import my library list. Apparently those reference files were not affected by removing iTunes from the machine.
My uneducated guess is that having shuffle turned on when updating iTunes is the root cause of the problem of not being able to turn off shuffle must be that the update is referencing the shuffle setting in an attempt to present the new program in the exact same state (shuffle turned on) as the old version, whereas a "clean" install does not; but I'm a chemist not a computer scientist. In any case, you can regain control of iTunes. Happy tuning.I tried it...didn't work. My songs are all still permanently shuffled. I get so angry at Apple for this kind of thing. Do they test their **** software? I also just discovered dozens of CDs that I had thought imported correctly actually have file sizes of under 25KB, and iTunes shows their length as either "continuous" or three or four seconds. **** it, Apple, if you don't properly import a CD ***TELL ME ABOUT IT***...don't pretend that everything is hunky-dorey.
I should add...I have the songs stored on a HP MediaSmart (Windows Home) Server. When I access the library using the Windows version of iTunes, I have the problem. If I access it using the Mac version of iTunes, the shuffle works correctly (i.e. it can be turned off.) -

I can't turn off my wifes iCloud in iTunes on her MacBook that is running 10.6.8. I have read that that way to tun this off is to go to the iCloud icon but this isn't available on 10.6.8. So how do I fix this issue? She can only get access to 50 songs and not her whole library.
Your question makes no sense, given the issue you describe.
But iTunes cloud function is under the iTunes menu >> preferences >> store.

Can you turn off alerts for when your on a call
It drives me nuts when my cell beeps and vibrates while Im on a call...
can I turn off alerts/notification for when I am on the phone.Maybe we shouldn't have to? It seems like a very simple setting to include that allows us to silence alerts while on a call. No other phone has ever blasted my text tone in my ear when I'm talking to someone. And there's no way to silence it once it starts, I had to listen to a 10 second text tone after telling the person to hold on today. Pretty stupid that this tiny feature was overlooked when they released the iphone 4, it was available on the 3. It's become so irritating that I'm considering returning my phone and going droid.

How can I turn off messages for certain Action Center items?
I'd like to find a way to turn off messages for Windows Update, Network Firewall and Windows Backup. Ideally I'd like to do it with Group Policy however I can't find a policy for this. We're deploying Windows 7 right now and we'll need a solution that's domain-wide.Orange County District Attorney
