Can't turn on iTunes Match in settings

Hello, I just purchased iTunes Match.  When I go to turn it on in my iPhone 4S, I keep getting message that I need to subscribe.
Can anyone help me? Thank you!

I thought that might be the problem.  The main apple ID me.com can't be changed.  It is the one I used to purchase I Tunes Match.  The second Apple ID is my ITunes apple ID.  How do I change that one?

  • How can I turn off itunes match on my phone without losing all my playlists?

I have itunes match but want to keep all my music on my iPhone because I travel and don't always have access to the internet.  I upgrades to ios8 and now it seems if I turn off iTunes Match in my phone it get rid of all my playlists.  How can I stop that from happening.  I want my music, and playlist on my phone.

To keep playlists on the phone, create them on the phone
To keep music on the phone, download the tracks before turning off Match.
But turning off Match isn't really necessary. Just turn off Show all music in the music app settings, or do not attempt to play a track that has a cloud icon (i.E. isn't downloaded).

  • I can't turn on iTunes match on a computer

I am trying to turn on iTunes match on a second computer and it won't let me. I already subscribed to it and can see my music on my iPhone and iPad.

    OK,
Just figured that for some reason my macbook has itunes 10.3.1 and for iTunes Match to work you need at least 10.5.1.
Now the problem is that even though iTunes offers downloading the latest version, when it starts looking for it through Software Update it just doesnt find it.
I am downloading the apple from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

  • How can I turn off iTunes match?

Although my iTunes match account did not renew, the "music" tab for my iPad (under iTunes on my MacPro) when connected, still shows "iTunes Match is ON"
Under the "store" in iTunes menu tab it shows: "Turn On iTunes match"
It is OK for all other devices; iPhones, etc.  Only for iPad the problem still remains.
On the iPad itself; it shows off, i.e.: "please renew iMatch account"
I have tried logins and outs, sync, etc.  Nothing works!  I cannot sync my music on my iPad anymore, even manually!

    Hi Pressas,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
The first area I would check in this situation would be under Settings > Music on your iPad and make sure iTunes Match is turned off. Please use the following article as a reference.

    2.66 ghz Core 2
    8 GB Ram
    Yosemite 10.10
    I have tried the following.
    1.  Turn off iTunes match
    2.  Sign out of my account
    3.  Deauthorzie computer
    4.  Restart computer
    5.  Turn on iTunes
    6.  Sign in to my iTunes account
    7.  Authorize computer
    8.  Turn on iTunes match
After step 8 I get "Gathering Information" and when that is almost complete, I get the message
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request.  The iTunes store is unavailable please try again"
Yet, I can access the iTunes store and browse music, videos, etc.
I click on the menu "Store" and select "Update iTunes Match"  Within a couple of seconds, I get the message ""We could not complete your iTunes Store request.  The iTunes store is unavailable please try again"
    Any suggestions?

All of your computers content are available in the AppleTV section called "Computer".  This is where you will find your music.
The Music section of the AppleTV is only for those who subscribed to iTunes Match.

  • Can I turn off iTunes match on one computer only?

I have iTunes installed on two laptops, one at home and one at school (I'm a teacher). iTunes match has worked great for my home computer and iPad, BUT...I do not want my music on the school laptop. Is there a way to turn off iTunes match on one machine only? I thought I had turned it off, but when I went to add some audio books for school it said it was adding them to iTunes match and now the books show up on all my devices.
To be clear, I want to keep iTunes match for my personal laptop and iPad, but would like to turn it off on the school laptop.

    Hi,
Yes. To turn off match Go to menu > store > and select turn off itunes match.
To turn it back on you need to turn on from same point but you will be asked to sign in and add this computer.

  • HT204406 How can I turn off iTunes match on my mac

I want to disable iTunes Match on my Macbook Pro?   How do I do that?
The main reason is bc I just want to sync all of  my music to my iPad and not have to download it from the cloud one song at a time on my iPad.

    jrhuff -
    Open iTunes
At the top menu select "Store"
Scroll down to "Turn off iTunes Match" (I've already turned mine off so it shows " Turn on iTunes Match") If your's is on, it will say, "Turn off iTunes Match"

  • How can I turn OFF iTunes Match on ALL devices?

I am in Australia and just paid AUD34.99 last night to buy iTunes Match and have had so much trouble with it since I want to turn it OFF on all devices.  Ideally I'd love a refund but understand that terms and conditions may limit this - though am really disappointed that it simply does not seem to work despite me following everything to set it up correctly.
In theory, it's a great service and I'm sure in the long run will be useful but for now until I could figure it out I wanted to just turn it OFF on both my iphone & Macbook pro - have done this in settings - music - turn off on iPhone...but still ON!  Also on Macbook, have turned off in store - turn off - and it's disappeared off my store options - BUT IS STILL ON in Itunes!
It's not only the hours of my time and frustration at trying to do simple things, for example had some friends around today and trying to just play music on my mac, and it kept skipping all over the place (i.e. would not finish a track, go to the next one, then skip through several on shuffle meaning a long gap between songs).  It also does not find a lot of music in my library that is definitely already in iTunes store, meaning that it is using my valuable upload limit for a lot of songs.
Overall, what the app promises and what it actually delivers in practice is very disappointing and frustrating.   I realise it's just recently launched so may still have some issues, but I don't want to pay for a service that doesn't work properly for me - and then not even be able to turn it off?  Can anyone help or have had similar experiences?  I've emailed Apple customer support but meanwhile wanted to try and get this sorted asap.

ok after another hour of playing around i might have half solved this...I turned match off via my account within the store which didn't seem to work properly, but then found another option to "turn off" via the store dropdown in the menu bar which does seem to have worked on my mac (but not yet on my iphone so still need to figure this out). Now I have turned it off on my mac it seems to offer me the option to buy it again - but as i've already paid for the year I don't know if there is the option to turn on again if I choose to later?

  • Why I can't turn on itunes match?

I meant to indicate that I was trying to use iTunes Radio and that is where i get theads. Can i get rid of them becuase I subscribe to iTunes Match?

  • Can I turn off iTunes Match auto update feature

I often tether my iPhone 5 to my MBP and while I have a large data allowance, I'd like to only tap into it when I choose to.
I've noticed that several times throughout the day, iTunes Match tries to scan my library and send info back to Apple.
Funny thing is, it does this even when there's nothing new in the library. I understand why it updates so frequently and when I'm on Wi-Fi I don't mind it at all.
Is there anyway to switch this to a manual operation rather than automatic?
A bonus question: I know it's sending data back to Apple's servers when it does this, but is it any amount worth fretting over?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,
As far as I'm aware there is no auto update feature in iTunes Match on your computer. It would seem that you have a bug - the only time that iTunes should update is when you add new tracks, even then it is not immediate unless you select add to iCloud.
Occasionally, iTunes Match goes through the process of scanning my library again but this only happens after launching.

  • Can I not purchase iTunes match through my iPad?

I can't seem to purchase iTunes Match from my iPad.

You have to do this on your computer by opening iTunes, then going to Store>Turn On iTunes Match and subscribing with your Apple ID.  Your music library will then be scanned and uploaded/matched, after which you can access your music library on your iPad but turning on iTunes Match in Settings>iTunes & App Stores and in Settings>Music.

  • How do you permanently turn off iTunes match?

I just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS7. I'm very excited and happy with the update. Everything looks very nice and is much more intuitive than before. However, I am having one slight problem. I can't turn off iTunes match.
iTunes match is not something I like to use on my phone. I've always found it to be a little annoying and it tends to get in the way of my music listening experience. Once the update was complete, I opened up settings, went to music, and deselected iTunes match. However, it's not staying unselected. Everytime I look back into the music options it's turned on again. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I've been having the same problem for about a week now and it's driving me crazy. I've changed passwords in everything to reflect the new protocols (that nobody informed us about, I might add) of having at least one capital, etc. etc., but that hasn't changed anything. I do have one song pending download that WON'T download because the file at iTunes is apparently corrupt, and I can't seem to simply eliminate this one song from the queue. HELP!!!!

    Hi Mario,,,,
I tried everything in your reply,,, thank you again,, I had done that once before and all was working great,,
I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????
    Please advise,???
I am now at a loss,,, I really became excited when I saw the iTunes icon after putting the phone into restore,,,???
