Can't type in short answer text box on iPad

Have anyone else had this issue? I have a quiz which includes multiple choice questions and short answer questions. Multiple choice questions are fine but the short answer question won't allow me to type into it. Its fine on all desktop browsers I've tried it on in HTML5 and SWF, but on the iPad it won't let me click into the box or bring up the keyboard to type anything into it.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I've published an HTML5 SCORM module to Moodle. This module was created in Captivate 8. It works in all desktop browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome). It will work in the iPad on Safari. However, when I launched it in the iPad using Chrome, I noticed that I cannot type in the short answer textboxes. All other question types seem fine. Is this a known error?

How do I drag an image or text box to the "workspace" off of my working file but where I can still see the image and text box for future use?
When I drag the item off of the trifold that I am creating, it just disappears but I still want to use it. I just need to move it out of the way to modify other portions of the document.

Add another page below the current one to use as a storage area. You can't use the grey area around the page for storing items you want to use later.
Go to the Pages Menu>Provide Pages Feedback if you would like to request this feature be added in future versions.

I can't do anything with the text boxes in my InDesign file.

I consider myself pretty good with InDesign. But, right now, I'm totally flummoxed. I've just spent two hours designing a newsletter front and inside front page. I've filled the two text boxes with text that I stole from a Word file. But, now, I can't do anything in those text boxes. I click and nothing happens. Nothing highlights. The frame isn't locked. I don't know what to do. I'm kind of freaked out that InDesign can do this to me.

Just connect the new iPod to your computer and setup the iPod via iTunes (instead of via wifi).

Two issues .....
1. The form must be saved as a dynamic Form. Under the SaveAs menu make sure that you choose a type of Dynamic PDF.
2. The root subform for Page 2 must be set to flowed. Once that is done everything will shift to the left. On the subform object in the layout tab you can set a .25 in margin to put the object back where they were.

Can't get "true" height of text box (text object) in Photoshop CS4-CS6 on Mac

I'm seeing this behavior in CS4, CS5 and CS6 on the Mac using AppleScript. When I get the height of a text object layer as such:

The value returned doesn't match the height of the text object. In my mind the text object is the box that's displayed when I click on text in a text layer with the text tool active. The value for the width appears to match, just as I'd expect.
I'm trying to get the height and width of the text box (text object) so that I can draw a box "underneath" it on another layer so that one can tell where the text box is. Kind of an FPO-type assistant. I'm currently using the position values and the height and width to create a colored box. I realized that the height isn't exactly right.
Any help would be great appreciated. I've not explored the use of Javascript thus far, but am open to that as a solution.

I tried your code and it works just fine here… I used CS5 to try it… Here is a screen shot… I just put a solid fill layer at the bottom so you can see the guides…

I Can't type in my Blog Search Box through Firefox but works fine in Chrome and IE

My Search box Doesn't type when using Firefox but it works well when I am using Chrome or IE , so I asked some of my friends to check out the blog and tell me If the search box is working or not, and they faced the same problem as well, I can press Search but I can't type words in the box.

Can you reach the search box via the Tab key?
What element is selected when you right-click that search box and click Inspect Element to open the Inspector?

Need help with specifying type range in dynamic text box

is it possible to specify my type range in a dynamic text box
that is loading images as well as type? Everytime i specify the
range flash quits. if i take out the image loading actionscript
then it's fine. grrrrr

I assume that you have added this field to the field catalog, so make sure that the name in the field catalog is exactly the same as in the internal table which holds your data, and make sure that you are filling the field name as uppercase.

Can Captivate 5 support multi-line text boxes?

A colleague is trying to add a text box, where the user will need to enter multiple lines... We don't want word wrap, we actually want the user to be able to add carriage returns and additional lines... Is that possible?
If the text box element can't do multiple lines, is there a way to accomplish this using a different canned element? (non-klunky, I've read the 3-year-old thread on this topic.)

BUG: Can't cut and paste custom text boxes

So this is really annoying.
- Create a text box.
- Set a custom text color, font and size
- Postion correctly.
Now I want to copy the text box to another page to maintain my text style. I can copy, but when I paste nothing happens.
Meaning I have to format each and every text box I create manually. Any work arounds?
I must say I do find the book editing tools in Aperture eccentric to say the least. No multi-select, no align/distribute etc. - I hope for some better page layout tools in the future. They don't have to be complex - just the basics.

Eccentric? Yup, my feelings exactly. Copy and paste in Aperture's layout tool is hit and miss - and as far as I know it's the only Mac app that behaves in this way, which is very strange indeed.
I just tried a workaround by saving the page with custom text as a new page master: it doesn't work!
Aperture only saves where the text box is located but all text formating reverts back to the theme's default... There's also no way to save custom text styles.
What will work is duplicating the page that contains the styled text box you'd like to keep. But then you need to change all the rest of the layout around it manually, which may take even longer.
It's nice to have a layout tool in Aperture. But considering what Apple has at its disposal, the implementation is extremely frustrating...

Mono space type face in a text box

I want to use the mono spaced text in a text box. When I change the style settings and run under the application server it seems to work, but when I deploy the application to Tomcat 5.5 the text field is blank.
Is there some setting either in Tomcat or in Studio Creator to fix this?

I just tried this against a Tomcat 5.5.17 and it displayed and showed mono for me. I set the style property this way from the designer for each component: style->Font-> , then I highlight selected "Courier New', Courier, monospace, pressed Edit and moved monospace up in the selection so that the FontFamily would then read "monospace" first. This should be reflected both in the CSS style below, and in the style preview, as well as in the .jsp. I tested both static text and textfield components from the Basic group. and Standard group.
If this still does not work for you, is your component on the designer screen displayed as selected, i.e. has 6 move handles (or 4 signifying it is still in edit mode)? Make sure it is still not in edit mode.

Can you extend multiple over set text boxes at once?

I am in the process of changing many large Indesign files from MAC to PC which has created, in some cases, hundreds of over set text boxes.
I'm looking for a faster way of fixing these files as extending each of these text boxes one by one is taking up a lot of time. I am currently using the pre-flight panel.
I have Indesign CC 2014.1.

Not the answer to your question, but merely moving from Mac to PC should not be causing text to go overset. Seems likely you've got a font substitution, or perhaps you've also changed the version of ID, or both.
Do you have an object style assigned to the text frames? Perhaps redefining the style to include auto-sizing will solve the problem.
