Can't type or play music and videos.

I spilled water on my iPod, now every time when i'm typing it blocks after a few letters.
I also can't play music and videos, when i pres play it just sets itself back on pause.
Anyone has advice?

Place the iPod in a sealed container iwth uncooked rice for a week to dry the iPod . Then try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Hi all. I just downloaded Solaris 10 and installed it. I haven't used it for a long time (since version 8), and as I can see now, there are many improvements. I just loved Java Desktop! :)

DVDs are more of a problem because of DCIMA. Look around.

I am trying to play music and videos but the volume will not show on the screen unless i have head phones in also the buttons on the side will not change my ringtone volume

Can iPad 3 utilise the camera kit to play music and video directly?

I would like to know if the ipad 3 is able to read music and video from the camera kit without all sorts of nasty jailbreaking.
I guess it could be the case that Apple do not allow this in the hope of selling larger capacity Ipads, but on the other hand its not rocket science to allow this either.
Any other suggestions for occational storage usage (ie when I am away on holiday or for work) appriciated

Ipod touch 4 keeps freezing/doesn't show wi-fi/doesn't play music and videos

I was just gonna play on my ipod touch 4g,and then when i tap on the app,it crashes the game and freezes.It was perfectly fine yesterday though.And when i restart the syetem and try to do something it freezes again,or if i tap the home button it freezes.It also doesn't show the wi-fi bar and i have wi-fi on and have a router.it also doesn't play music or videos and the sound works.Do you think i should get something new?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

How can I change "manually manage music and videos" option whitout loose my files?

When I change "manually manage music and videos" option iTunes delete all my files first. This a stupid thing from Apple.
Anybody knows if exists a way to change this option without loose the contents in iPhone?

The iPhone will only sync with 1 iTunes library at a time. If you want to sync to a new iTunes installation, you have to re-establish the sync relationship, which means wiping the phone and replacing the content with what's in the current iTunes library on the computer.

Why is my laptop making a "glitching" noise while playing music and videos.

It's hard to explain, but it's just an interrupted noise that happens randomly throughout audio and media. Just started happening out of nowhere.
Recently I've been having some problems playing back any sort of media. At regular intervals the audio will freeze/skip for a second and make a loud grinding noise. This happens with music, streaming videos, games, pretty much everything. If I'm watching a video or playing a game, the screen will freeze for a second, then remain normal for fewer second and does the same again. This happens every 15 or 20seconds while Playing any kind of media.
I've tried everything I could think of, updating all my drivers, reinstalling windows, running anit-virus, and cleaning out my system. But nothing helped at all. I wonder what the problem is?
Though if i reboot the problem is gone for that particular period. But it comes back again later.
Please help me with any kind of solution.

To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums.
Even though this is a Commercial product, You could reset the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings. This would help if something is causing an issue with defaults.
I have found this to be a help with this issue on all Notebooks.
Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues.

No audio when playing music and videos

need help on my iphone 4s...no audio when playing music or watching videos...no volume display and volume buttons dont function...

Clean the dock connector and headphone jack. Lint or debris in either of this could cause this issue.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these steps in order until the issue is resolved.

No sound when playing music and video on the new iphone 3gs (32gb)

I have a problem with no sound when playing music or watching video both on the ipod part of the phone and when watching youtube videos, all other sounds are working fine on the phone(eg Apps, phone calls/rings and system sounds. If i reset the phone everything apears to work fine again for the first minute or so but when i stop a video or tune for a second and try going back to it, the sound is gone again. All settings are fine. Anyone having the same problem or any idea how to fix it?

You could try either a Backup Restore or a Clean Restore. I usually do a CR with MobileMe as the restore source. Afterwards I reload the music, videos and apps.
It could be a sound playing bug like the Bluetooth bug that bites me now and then (audio stops and goes once in a while, audio gaps in the video if the video is paused, and videos recorded have the audio very quiet).

Playing music and video games at the same time, itunes gets distorted.....

i have a problem. i used to be able to play music while play games such at warcraft and counter strike but when i installed the new intunes 7 i cannot do that anymore. the music is all distored and speeds up and slows down. as if the cd is scratched really bad. it is really frustrating. does anyone now how to fix this or is it unfixable?

- Open the Config.*** file using a text editor, like WordPad.
Add the following line to the list if it doesn't exist:
SET SoundOutputSystem "x"
Set "x" to be 1 first, if it still occurs bump it to 2 and so on up to 4.
you must restart WoW everytime you change the number.

Playing Music and Video at the same time

I would like to play a song from my music collection and while it's playing, play a video that has no audio on it from the video collection. When I try to do this, one shuts the other off. I switched the behavior from default to showcase, still no luck. Is there perhaps an app available on the appstore that anybody knows of that can play an audio on loop and a video on loop at the same time?

How can I put previously purchased music and videos on my new iPhone 4s?

I purchased the music back when I have a 4th generation ipod nano. I was able to retrieve it from the iTunes library, but cannot seem to copy and paste it to my iPhone. I even tried file > transfer purchases from iPhone (as I read it should ask if I want to put the songs that are on iTunes on the phone) and that didnt work! PLEASE HELP!

Huh? File has nothing to do with it. Do not click File. Forget File. It transfers FROM iphone TO itunes. This is NOT what you are trying to do.
You need to sycn your iphone. This is very basic and is certainly covered in the manual.
Open itunes.
Connect iphone.
Select what you want to sync.
Sync.

My iPhone 3GS will not work in speakerphone mode but plays music and video sound just fine,also if I touch the speaker button for voicemail there is no volume increase it does have the latest iOS updates

The batterys the ipods come with are very sensetive somtimes they dont react right to the first couple of charges. Try fully charging it and then leaving it on until its completely drained a few times. If that doesnt work it might be a lemon.
