Can't uninstall firefox with uninstall or helper.exe. Neither Firefox, Uninstall or helper.exe open

I cannot open Firefox. Last time I used my computer, it was working. Nothing happens when I try to open it. Nothing happens when I click 'Uninstall' for add/remove programs. Nothing happens when I open helper.exe. I tried a system restore but to no avail. Installed troubleshooter-1.1a-fix.xpi. Saved it file but when I open the file, it continues to take me to the dialogue box to save the troubleshooter file.

Firefox won't open when I click on it so I thought possibly uninstalling and then reinstalling it might resolve this. As stated in my question, I am unable to uninstall it using the control panel or the helper.exe

The obvious and simple solution is to restore from the back up you made before upgrading.
Other than that you'll need to give us a lot more detail. Mavericks doesn't ask you to upgrade your Photos, upgrading to a later iPhoto asks you about upgrading the Library. Where is the library? What version were you upgrading from? Anything else you can tell us that might help understand the problem you're having.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Check System Preferences > Notifications and make sure the Calendar entry is set up as you wish.

How can I force Firefox to override javascript when opening links with ctrl+click?

There are certain sites that always open up a link in the active window despite said links being opened by ctrl+clicking it. Basically what happens is that a java script on the site forces the active window to load the link while at the same time Firefox follows the ctrl+click command and loads it in a new tab. You end up with two tabs with the same information and always have to go back in your original tab to be able to open other links.
Usually you can open the link the way you want by right-clicking and selecting 'Open Link in New Tab' but for some reason ctrl+click is treated as if it was a regular click. How can I stop this from happening and force Firefox to ONLY load the new tab?
This problem is not specific to the version of Firefox I'm using or the operating system, but seems to be caused by java script on the site. Disabling java scripts makes the problem go away but sometimes it also disables the sites.

If you're trying to protect your browser from hackers, I'd recommend setting up a master password for your saved passwords. Other than that, your anti-virus and firewall are responsible for keeping your computer safe.
If you're trying to protect your browser from someone else (i.e. somebody who can physically use the computer) just lock your entire computer with a password. If someone else has to use it, you could try letting them use the guest account.

What do you mean, "is it unlocked"? If your iPod has a screen lock set, it will be obvious from the iPod's screen. For issues with the iPod not appearing in iTunes, start which these troubleshooting steps:

Can't browse network with new router - HELP!

My old WRT54G died a few days ago. I replaced it with a WRT54GL which was the closest match. Since installing the new router I can no longer browse my network. I configured the new router with LELA as per the instructions suggested. Could that have changed something? All the machines can get on the internet and I can ping all the machines through the command line but when I try to look at the workgroup in the my network places window I get an error message that says:
"Workgroup not accessable. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The network path was not found."
When I run the net view command in the command line that also results in an error.
When I hook machines together with a crossover cable everything works fine so I have to assume it's some setting in the new router that is preventing the browse list from working. Here's what I've tried:
Turned off firewalls both on the local machines and on the router - made no difference
Made sure all machines are in the same workgroup - they are
Made sure browser service and the peer networking services are running - they are
Made sure all machines are on the same subnet - they are because they can ping each other
Now here's something really strange. When I rename the workgroup on all machines they can see each other. Once I switch back to the name "workgroup" they can't see each other any longer and I get the error message.
I run a small business and need to share files quite often. I would love to be able to get a NAS server but I can't find any that will work with ALL of my machines. Most of my machines are running Vista at this point but a few are still XP Pro. One of my machines is XP Pro and cannot run SP2 which prevents a lot of newer software and devices from running on it. This is why I really need to get my file sharing ability back.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I solved the issue and wanted to post it in case someone else has the same issue. One of the machines uses a Linksys WGA600N Dual Band Gaming adapter as it's wireless adapter. Technically speaking this actually a bridge. I needed to restart it. That solved my issue.

I've been trying to put my iPod music into my Macbook Air but I have no idea of how to do it. So I've been wondering if it's even possible to do it with iTunes or if I need some kind of program to do it. If so, can you guys guide me on what program to use, a program that's free and that will let me choose just from certain artist (but a lot songs) And how to remove it completelly from the software after using it. I'm new to mac so I have a lot of questions and still a bit lost of how to use it propperly. I have an iPod touch firts generation.

There are free apps out there to copy songs from an ipod to itunes. they are usually demo's, but they work. If I remember right some of them only let you copy about 10 songs at a time. Irip is one that comes to mind. As far as deleting off the ipod. I think it's done in itune the same way you delete songs from itunes. By clicking on the song in itunes and going to edit at the top and click delete.

When I did an update for the iPod, the screen then showed a picture directing me to connect the iPod to the AC adapter and plug it in. I did, and nothing happened. The AC adapter is not drawing power. When I tried to turn my iPod on again, the same picture came up, and I tried connecting it again. Still not getting power to the iPod. I don't know what else to do. I figured the next step would be to try and restore the iPod to factory settings, but when I connect to the comp to do so, the same picture comes up. Again. HELP!!!!! I can't use the iPod because of this problem! What do I do? I am going thru iPod withdrawals! lol

I similar problem using a USB cable an the latest updater. I went out and bought a firewire cable today.
The ipod was immediately recognised and ITUNES updated. I then connected the USB cable. It now works OK as well. I am so relieved.
My topic description attached for information :-
I have a a 15GB ipod with dock connector. It was working fine playing songs and was visible from my Windows XP PC via the single USB cable. I could see ipod files.
I downloaded ipod updater 2005-09-23 and selected update.
Thereafter :-
Ipod is no longer recognised by the PC, it gives - "usb device not recognised" when the menu button is pressed.
The ipod screen is blank. Reset gives the apple logo then the icon asking to connect the cable ( which is already connected).
Other usb interfaces on the PC give the same message.
Other devices connect OK to these USB interfaces.
The cable was working prior to the update.
Another PC ( compaq laptop ) gives the same "usb interface error message" when the ipod is connected.
the problem is within the ipod usb interface.
The updater appears to have corrupted/changed the ipod "usb interface"
I am unable to update again or restore as no connection available to the PC.
How can I restore the ipod's usb connectivity?

Can a 7232 work with 7100 PLEASE HELP!!!

I have been having a ton of problems with my 6416 DVRs, after trips from Tech Support and multiple calls I finally ended up receiving a 7232 to replace 1 of the units. That has helped quite a bit and then the 2nd 6416 continued to lag and pixelize so I finally got Verizon to send me a replacement. The rep on the phone convinced me that getting a multi-room and set top for the house was the "right" option. So a week later I receive the 7216 and 7100.
Come to find out the 7100 has no storage and the 7216 is only 150GB, whereas the 7232 has 320GB.
So my question is....
Can I just keep the 7232 and the 7100 and will it work? I have been trying to get it set up but I can't get the 7100 to function properly and tired of spending HOURS on the phone with Verizon trying to explain this mess.

The QIP-7232 P2 should have a 500 gig drive, even though it says 32. Now the 7100 should have no issues working with the 7232 in a Multi Room configuration. But remember the 7100 only has pause and continue when viewing from recorded conted that is being played back fron the MRDVR 7232. The 7100 can not pause live content. I would send the 7160 back unless the 7232 is broken. The 7232 is a $40 upgrade if they make you pay for it.

I am using iPhoto version 9.6 and I can no longer get an email sent with a photo attached. I get an error message saying the email did not go through because the server did not reply. I can send the photo with Mail. Help!

I have upgraded to Yosemite and also updated the iPhoto application to version 9.6. I am no longer able to send a photo from iPhoto via email. I get an error message saying the server is not responding. But, when using the same server in Mail, I can attach the photo and send it. My wife is using the older version of iPhoto and it works fine.
I have checked the settings for the outgoing server, etc. and the Mail settings match those in iPhoto.
Could this be due to either the Yosemite upgrade or the iPhoto upgrade?

This solution is for those of you using 2-step verification for your Apple ID and are using iCloud as the mail server that you are trying to mail photos with.
I too had this issue. The problem in my case occurred because I had setup 2-step authentication for my Apple ID. If you have done this then you will get the error message "the mail server did not recognize your email/password...". To solve the problem go to:

Click "Manage Your Apple ID"
Verify your identity with the device you selected (if this step does not show up then you have not likely set up 2-step authentication and this is not your solution)
Click Password and Security in the left column
Click Generate an app-specific password
Enter iPhoto as the name of the app
Copy the password and paste this into the password box in iPhoto where you would normally enter your apple ID (in the mail account section in iPhoto preferences).
And...voila' (I hope)

Can't record audio with G580 please help!

I am trying to record audio for a video and using a Lenovo G580 laptop with a Logitech headset. There is a red and a green cord but only one slot. Do I need an audio splitter or jack? I am just trying to record with the red one I don't need the green though.

Can Coldfusion identify images with Google's help?

I know that Google has a new tool that will identify images based on what a cell phone user takes with their phone's camera.
Is there a way that if that image is sent to a site running CF9, that the image could be analyzed to tell if it what the user says it is?
For example, if the user says they're sending a picture of a cup, can CF (using Google) identify the image and verify that it is a cup?

When Google releases an API for goggles you could certainly do
something like that. From what I read they plan to provide an API but
it isn't out yet.

How can I use JMF with IPv6 ? (Help me please)

I have to develop VoIPv6 application. Then I decide to use Java language and JMF to implement it.
I tried to run AVTransmit2,AVReceive2 and AVTransmit3,AVReceive3,RTPSocketAdapter, they're work in IPv4 but not work in IPv6.
So I tried to solve this problem by searching from websites.
One suggestion is adding the -Djava.net.preferIPv6Addresses=true when using the java command. But it doesn't work.
Another suggestion is modify the RTPSocketAdapter, I have read this source code but I have no idea to modify it.
So if anyone has an idea to solve my problem, please advise me please. Your answer will be appreciated.
