Can't uninstall JAVA(TM) SE Development Kit 6 Update 10

I am having problems trying to execute my bat files because they cant find java or something, so I need to uninstal and reinstall the java files,
unfortunatly when I do I get this error..

I have tried multiple times reinstalling and overwriting the files but when I do I get this error...

That is a different problem. The batch file is looking for 'java' and can not find it.

Hi. I have installed Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.2, for XML programming with JAXP. But the new Java Web Services Developer Pack don't meet my needs. I need the previous JAXP software to do my programs. Now I try to uninstall Java Web Services Developer Pack, but I have an error: "The wizard cannot continue because of the following error: could not load wizard specified in /wizard.inf (104)".

but with uninstaller.exe don't work, it return the same error. I install JWSDP without Apache Tomcat container because I've already installed it before. I tried also to install again JWSDP, but the result is the same. My installation tree is:

CAN'T UNINSTALL JAVA PLUG IN 1.4.0_01

New to Java. I just installed the new J2SDK 1.4.1-rc. I (thought) I uninstalled the previous JDK/JRE (1.4.0), but apparently I didn't. Now, the files are gone, but I can't get rid of the Java Plugin icon and, more importantly, I can't associate executable jar files with the javaw.exe command.
I fear I deleted the files manually and I don't know what registry settings to change and how to make it associate javaw.exe with .jar files.
I am on a Windows XP machine.
Any help is appreciated!

Edit to suit you JRE's home.

The preverify.exe tool is missing from the Java ME Software Development Kit 8

I installed the SDK kit (http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/javame/8/oracle-jmesdk-8-0-rr-win32-bin.exe) per the instructions. Then when attempting to test compile a class, I got an error that the preverify.exe was missing. Sure enough, when I looked in the bin folder of the SDK install target, it was indeed missing. Seems it did not get laid down by the Oracle installer.
Also, the download hyperlink on this page (Java ME Landing Page) is incorrect, and leads to an error page. After some digging, I found this link (Before You Begin) that contained a valid hyperlink to the kit, located here - JAVA ME SDK DOWNLOAD
Is there a newer kit build that contains the preverify.exe?
If so, perhaps someone can fix the broken hyperlink to point to that kit?

Preverification is not needed anymore since ME8/MESDK8. That's why there is no preverify.exe in "bin" folder.

What did you do to install it?
What exactly happened when it started to install?
When did it fail?
The more details you provide the easier it will be for someone to spot the problem. Remember nobody can see your screen.

How can I uninstall iTunes from my PC and update my iPhone software?

I've been trying to update my iPhone 4 from iOS 4.1 to the newest version but I've encountered problem after problem.
First when I tried to update it through iTunes it said 'it cannot be restored at this time because the iPhone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable at this time'.

You should be able to uninstall iTunes by going into Control Panel on your computer, finding iTunes in the list of your installed programs, highlighting it, and clicking Uninstall at the top of that list.

Firefox is blocking Java even though I had the updated version. Now I can't update or uninstall Java.

On 4/2/12 Firefox informed me that Java had serious issues with security and I should let them block it, so I did. Later I found I couldn't play Pogo anymore so I tried to enable Java but it still wouldn't work. My Java is up to date, 6.0.290.11. Now I cannot update Java, error 1606, nor can I uninstall Java from my computer, same error cannot access location, in order to re-install. Since I was using the most updated version, my Java should not have been blocked. Anyone else have this problem? I am stuck and can't update or re-install or anything.

How to uninstall Java (JRE MSI) while keeping Internet Explorer open?

I have a situation where I need to have the ability to uninstall Java (currently JRE 1.7 Update 75, but could really be any version in the future). We are using the JRE MSI. I know how to uninstall it silently just fine, but the gotcha problem comes in that we have thousands of computers and some of them may have IE running during the uninstall.
Now normally I would just use taskkill.exe to terminate IE ahead of time then run Java uninstall. However, we are being told for the uninstall, this isn't an option even if we notify the customers about IE closing. So I'm looking for a command line way to uninstall Java, but allow it to be successfully uninstalled if IE is running (If a reboot is required after the fact, that is fine).
I have tried several things without success already:
MSIRESTARTMANAGERCONTROL=Enable (And Disable)
IEOPEN=1
IERESTART=1
In every case, I keep getting a Java Window that reads the below:
If I choose Later, then it will continue upon the next restart of the computer, which would be fine, except there doesn't seem to be a way to choose this option using the command line or a property??
I would be even be happy to trick Java into thinking it isn't being used currently even if the browser is open, but I can't seem to figure out how Java knows it is being used or not currently used.
(FYI, if you install Java while IE is running that is fine, and if you don't close IE after the fact then run the uninstall command right after, it uninstalls fine even though IE is running. I believe that is the case because the plug-in didn't fully get activated in IE until a close and reopen).
Any ideas on how this can be accomplished? Thanks.

Uninstalling Java Updates

Hi everybody!
My PC has been accumulating a lot of Java updates for the past several years and quite frankly, they're taking up a lot of hard drive space. I would like to get rid of the unnecessary ones including the old versions so which one should I remove?
Here's the link, which shows the image of several Java updates in my Add/Remove Programs list.
Note that Java(TM) SE Development Kit 6 Update 7 is exempt from removal because I'm currently taking Java programming language course this semester.

I'd remove everything bar Java(TM) SE Development Kit 6 Update 7 ... just double check that it includes a JVM (bin\java.exe) first (I think they all do, but better safe than sorry.
1. check which installation is being used by your browsers (usually tools ~ options)... set to your JDK install.

2. check your PATH and your CLASSPATH variables (right click My computer ~ properties ~ advanced ~ environment variables)

Can't fix Java under Leopard - help!

I was using Tiger with Java 1.6 SE set as the default. I then upgraded to Leopard and have found that 1.6 is not supported (ok, in my haste, I didn't research this properly).
However, now, I'm stuck because I can't switch the default back to 1.5. When I launch Java Preferences, I get the following error:
Dyld Error Message:
Symbol not found: _CTFontGetGraphicsFont
Referenced from: /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Libraries/libawt.jni lib
Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Application Services
But this is a Unix system, isn't it... so there must be a file somewhere that I can edit to fix all of this?
Also, how can I uninstall Java 1.6 SE?

Hmmm.. I see what you're getting at but in fact the CurrentJDK folder is already linked to the 1.5 folder. When I run java -version it shows as version 1.6. So...
