Can't uninstall Quick Heal total security,

I installed Quick Heal Total Security for Mac Trial 2months ago. After 1 month I uninstalled it using Appcleaner, but after every startup a message is displayed
"License period expired Purchase Quick Heal"(very annoying after the startup). Also the Quick Heal icon is still there on the menubar. I also tried uninstalling it using QH's uninstaller but no success, also I tried to install it again but same msg appears and the installer exits. Please help!!!

Thanks for the help. I tried using the uninstaller they provided but "QH total security not properly installed" message appears. Ultimately I e-mailed them they are trying to help. Let's see what happens.

  • Buffer Override and Can't uninstall Quick time

I just upgraded to Quick Time Pro for $32.00 and can't get quick time or itunes to open. I tryed to uninstall Quick Time but it says error and can't uninstall. I get a Buffer Override when trying to open. I believe that I just got ripped off for $32.00. Apple must be short of money and ripping us off.

  • I can't uninstall quick time on Windows XP

I really messed this whole thing up...I'm trying to run Avid Free DV and it requires an old version of Quick Time so I got the old version and tried to uninstall the version I had but it said that the current QT was on a network that wasn't available to me and it wouldn't let me uninstall it so I got rid of the whole folder (which really messed things up) so now I'm screwed, blued and tatooed (excuse my french) PLEASE SAVE ME!!!

it said that the current QT was on a network that wasn't available to me and it wouldn't let me uninstall it so I got rid of the whole folder
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Firefox won't open, error msg = can't find profile; deleted all app.data to rid new Win 7 Total Security virus - tried both v 4.0 & v 3.6 (now no error msg either). Can't open profile manager, can't open safe mode. pls help

My mother's computer was infected with the new "Win 7 Total Security" virus (apparently a fake antivirus program) - corrupted real av. To remove, we followed online advice to delete everything in AppData, for all programs, plus some other stuff. We moved it all to a flashdrive for safety, but after successfully removing virus, likewise cleaned & reformatted flashdrive. This apparently deleted Firefox profile(s), and after uninstalling & reinstalling, Firefox still won't open - I can't create a new profile. With v 4.0, I get an error message about not being able to find the profile. Found advice on how to open profile manager, but it won't open. Found reference to version 4 dispensing with profile manager, so tried installing version 3.6 again; still won't open, still can't open profile manager, but now no error message at all.

THANX for the reply cor-el. I've never had a problem using just "firefox -p", but i did use the full path like you advised after i read the profile manager article here before i posted my question. Unfortunately it didn't work. I've backed up all 3 profiles from the "%appdata% profile" file, and also from my remaining main profile that i'm on right now. I decided i'm going to uninstall ff3.6.28 & upgrade to "firefox 11" this weekend and hopefully create the other 2 profiles along with my main one. I do like in the newer versions of FF the tabs on top like googles chrome because it gives you more room on the page. I also like some other features too, but the main reason i kept my old version both times is because the newer versions didn't seem to load pages any faster than version 3.6.28. I'm not going to worry about some themes/personas not being compatible with ff11. I'll find some new ones. I think when i tried "ff9" awhile back along with my current version, i just deleted the shortcut that the article said to create on the desktop and still had all 3 profiles & no problems like i have now. In case your curious, the article on how to create more than one version of firefox at the same time was on the site "Dottech.org>[How To] Tip: Install multiple versions of Firefox to test before upgrading to latest release". It works but i obviously did something different this time that caused this problem. THANX again for your time/help, i do appreciate it.

How can I find out what my security answers are? I am trying to purchase an app on a new device and it won't let me without answering and I have totally forgotten

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > Password and Security.
I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose.

  • Downloaded security update 2014-002 now computer is freezing. Can I uninstall it?

Can I uninstall security update for Lion 2014-002? Afte repairing permissions before and after the download, the computer is freezing and needs restarting if not in use for several minutes.

These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was started. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time after  you had the problem. Select the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post any other kind of report—it will be very long and not helpful.

  • Can't uninstall HP Client security in order to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10

I have HP Probook 450 G2 and my Computer wants to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. But when it begins the upgrade process, I get the message, that 'HP Client Security manager' isn't compatible with Windows 10 and that it must be uninstalled. In order to uninstall it, I first must uninstall HP drive encryption. But to uninstall 'HP drive encryption' all partitions must be decrypted. I have two partition encrypted. hp drive encryption successfully decyrpted C partition with windows, but it can't decrypt H: partition (it has 60 GB data from my dropbox account). In Drive security it says H partition it's decyrpting, but there are no %. Only gray bar. It's been so for 5 days now. I tried to encrypt the H partition again and it did it in 1 second. After the reboot there was a sign Encrypted next to the partition lettter. I than again tried to decrypt H partition and it again won't do it. There' s only a gray bar without % and a sentence that partition is beeing decrypted next to the drive letter. I must decrypt this partition in order to uninstall 'HP drive encryption'. 'HP drive encryption' must be uninstaled in order to uninstall 'HP Client Securtiy Manager'. 'HP Client Securtiy Manager' must be uninstalled in order to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.

Actually it's H partition that hp drive encryption is decrypting 5 days now (without % sign). I have only my dropbox data there.  I could format that partition and downlad the data from dropbox again (it would take 1 day to download 60 GB of the data again from dropbox). D partition is HP recovery partition but I don't have any problems with it yet (i made a letter mistake in first post). I also made HP recovery media on USB stick. Will hp drive encryption automaticaly update the status of H partition from 'Decrypting' to 'decyrpted', if I format the H: partition? Will drive encyrption login window (WinMagic’s Pre-boot UEFI) (before the windows login) automatically be removed, if I format the H: partition? Will FilterBootOrder (FBO) variable automatically be removed, if I format the H: partition?I imagine this is automaticaly done via decrytion of all partitions/disk in HP client security (which doesn't work correct at my computer). Maybe afterwards the H: partition is formated and HP drive encryption status updated, I can then uninstall hp drive encryption and hp client security and install win10. This is another option.

  • I can't uninstall and reinstall itunes?

    Hey,
For the past few months I have had several problems with Itunes.
    1. I can't use the itunes store because the screen in itunes store is completely white
    2. I can't install the updated version of itunes and quicktime, I get error messages
    3. I can't uninstall itunes because it says itunes doesn't exist
    4. I can't install itunes again from the website because it gives me error messages and shuts down
    5. I can't install or unistall itunes at  all from any location

You likely have a deepr problem either with Windows or malware on your system.
Sounds like you need to backup your files and do a factory restore of Windows:
Once you've done all this Windows will be extremely responsive, and iTunes likely will run with no issues at all.
    Factory Restore instructions:
1: Backup all your files to cd/dvd. if possible as it's write/delete protected or a hard drive.
2: Consult your PC vendor site how to do a "factory restore". Old machines used a disk, new ones have a encrypted locked partition on the drive someplace usually called "Recovery". Before you start, make sure the computer can't connect to the Internet. This may mean turning off your router and disconnecting Ethernet cables. You need power and you need to set the screensaver & monitor NOT to activate or sleep in your Control Panel (and set again after you restored)
3: Note that your going to lose everything, that's the object. And get the machine like it was when you bought it. (All self installed programs you'll install again from fresh sources later)
The factory restored anti-virus, Flash, Java, Reader, and all old programs on it are vulnerable. These all your going to have to remove, along with the PC vendor bloatware, trial ware, games and other garbage. In your Add/Remove Programs. If you don't do this, these old programs will get online and do a update and your machine can get pawned. Why you don't want a internet connection until they are removed. You just want Windows and nothing else. Enable your Windows Firewall in Security.
4: Now get online with a wired Ethernet connection to a fast Internet service at home, because (Vista over 200 updates, 2 days) and Windows 7 (SP1 + Win Live, a few hours) is going to take some time.  Windows Update is in your Control Panel/Security or Start Menu > All Programs.
Install and activate the free Microsoft Security Essentials or free Avast anti-malware the first chance you get.
When doing Win 7 SP1, if it seems to stop, there is a Windows Live window behind the update window that needs to be "ok-ed" before it continues.
Vista updates are going to be especially painful, just rinse, reboot and repeat over and over until you get them all and there is nothing more it will give.  Check the Start Menu > Shutdown for a indicator that it's going to install updates and perform the restart. You must keep clicking the "check for updates" until it's really clear.
5: Once the updating pain is over, you need to do a Windows Disk Cleanup and a Defrag before adding programs. (important for speed!) This can take hours. Will make Windows considerably faster.
6: Optional (good for notebooks): You can head to Performance > Advanced Setting and tone down Windows eye candy. Set to custom and delete everything but four options, the thumbnails, font and box smoothing and the last one. (or Windows will look like basic XP)
7: Make sure you do a System Restore Point of this "pristine" and very fast Windows. If you have the ability to make System Restore Disks and Images to DVD's DO IT!! Save yourself having to do this again one day.
8: Now install your programs and plugins: Flash, Java, Firefox 4 (fastest and the best) VLC, LibreOffice. CCleaner. etc.., Recommended sites: Qualy's Browser Check/ Mozilla Browser Check.
9: If your computer is still slow, check the RAM. Windows 7 & Vista needs 2GB just for themselves. So add more to your 4GB max (or more if your on 64bit). Check Crucial.com to make sure you get the right RAM specs for your computer.
10: Do a malware scan of the external drive/cd/dvd's before transferring files, always download new versions of programs from fresh sources so they are free of lingering malware. If all possible, use a Mac or Linux machine to scan for malware as they are much safer operating systems by default. Free ClamXav for OS X, ClamWin for Windows, Clamav for Linux. Update those malware definitions before a scan.
    Good Luck!
Note: I recieve no compensation for free product or site mentions.

  • ITunes can't read my iPhone and now I can't uninstall iTunes. Help!

One day out of the blue I was unable to sync my iPhone 4S on iTunes. I then updated my iTunes to the latest version 11.0.1.
Error message then pops out when I opened iTunes "The software required for communitcating with iPods and mobile phones was not installed correctly. Do you want iTunes to try to repaire this for you?"
I selected "Yes" and another error message appeared "The software could not be repaired. Please reinstall iTunes if you wish to use these devices."
However, now I can't uninstall iTunes because after it uninstalls till the last 1 second, an error message kept appearing "Error getting file security: C:\Program Files\iTunes\ GetLastError:5"
I'm using Windows Vista 32-bit Operating system. And I've checked the file security for iTunes folder under Program Files and I'm the owner.
Attached below are the error messages I've been encountering. Can some kind soul advise me? Because now I can't update my songs in my iPhone and it's becoming obsolete if I can't do anything with it.
    Thank you!

  • How do I uninstall Quick Time Player 10 from a Mac

I cannot find an article that explains how to uninstall Quick Time Player, version 10, from my Mac Snow Leopard.  I need to install Quick Time 7 in order to install Quick Time Pro 7.  Just moving the program to the Trash did not help.
    Thanks.

I need to uninstall quicktime completely. It says that it is open when I try to trash/delete it. There is no other error message. I cannot delete it because it says that it is open. I cannot open it because it has become invisible and will not show up when I try to open it. When I click on the icon it flashes as it should as if it is opening but it does not open. It does not show up on my list of open apps. It may be (and probably is) corrupted but I cannot tell. Either way, I want to completely erase it and re install it. just tell me how.
QT is a structure embedded in the in your platform's operating system. To remove/replace it, you would have to delete/reinstall the entire operating system. On the other hand, the QT 10 Player is an application that provides a graphich interface with the QT structure embedded in your system. It can be removed/replace by simply deleting the QT Player app and reinstalling another copy. This is easily done on Snow Leopard system by simply extracting/installing another copy of the app from you included system discs but an be a real problem under Lion since most people do not keep a a local image of the recovery installation software on their local drive.
