Can't Uninstall VMM2012 or VMM2008 Admin Console

I have VMM 2012 installed and it worn't run: VMMAdminUI stopped working
It won't uninstall either: the type initializer for "Microsoft.VirtualManager.Setup.SetupLogger.SetupLogger" threw an exception.
I have VMM2008 and it won't uninstall: VMM2008 has stopped working
Any Ideas?

Gateways can't be restarted from the Admin Console

Hi,
We have two gateways and two servers setup. We have changed the names of the gateways after we completed the installation. everything works fine except that the gateways can't be restarted from the admin console. The administration guide says that this happens for one of two reasons. I have checked both and non of them applied. I am afraid that this is an indication of more serious issue. Any help ?

I found out that we had the old gateways names in ips.gateway.host inside /etc/opt/SUNWips/platform.conf on both gateways.
when i replaced the old name with the new one and restarted the gateways, i could restart them from the admin console

Can not login the WebCenter Discussions Admin console

I have installed the oracle web center 11.1.1.2 and 11.1.1.3 patch and have the weblgic admin/wls_services server running successfully. after create two new users in the embed weblogic i can login the webcenter discussion. The two test users can post a announcement but have no right to create a new forum and post new thread. So i want to login the ADMIN console by host:port/owc_discussions/admin but denied, including the weblogic default admin user(weblogic/weblogic1). in the webcenter administation guide, it says:
"By default, Oracle WebCenter Discussions is configured to use the embedded LDAP identity store: all users in the embedded LDAP store can log on to the discussions server, and all users in the Administrators group have administrative privileges on Oracle WebCenter Discussions." in 12.2.2 Discussions Server - Security Considerations
also tried to change the configuration file for Jive(jive_startup.xml), setting the setup element to false which mentioned in another threads in this forum and still not work.
Currently all i want to do is login the discussion as admin and create a forum, say 'Generic' and register the connection in Jdevoper and create a custom app for posting new thread.
Hope someone can help.

Can't login to Messaging Server Admin Console

I've just installed DS5.2 and MSG5.2 on a 480R. After starting all the appropriate servers I am able to use the Admin Consoles on the 480R for both DS and MSG.
But if I try to login to the MSG server's admin console remotely from my Win XP laptop I get an error "Cannot logon because of an incorrect user id, incorrect password or directory problem. I'm using the same settings (ports, user id cn=Directory Manager, password) as i did on the 480R. I even tried Sun ONE 5.2 admin console as well as the older Netscape 4.5 console. I don't have a problem when logging into the DS5.2 admin server via the console on my WinXP laptop.
Any ideas ?

Never mind. I hope the problem.
The admin server was configured to only allow connections to it from the local machine. I added my laptop's IP to the allowed hosts and everything's working just fine now.

Can't start CMS 4.7 from admin console

I can't start cms instance from admin console. When i try to start it says "operation error: unable to start the server". I tried to start the server from command line, it seems ok, so when i back to admin console and try to open CMS, it says "server off" and the server was already started from command line successfully.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT HAPPENS???

i have weblogic 10.3.2 where i created a cluster named cluster1 on production mode
the machines and servers list as follow:

i create nodemanager on machine2, and set the type as ssl, the listener address 192.168.1.101,
then login on 192.168.1.101, and run wlst.sh , nmEnroll and then start startNodemanaged.sh ..

i followed the steps as follow:
1、change prod mode to dev
2、modified the config.xml entrys on the all two servers:

Is there a way to disable concurrent Weblogic Admin Console sessions for the same user?

A coworker on another workstation and I are able to log into same user account on the Weblogic Admin Console at the same time. I would like to restrict access so only one session per user account can be logged in to the Admin Console. Is this possible?
Alternatively, is there a way to log identifiable information (IP/workstation) when multiple sessions for one account occur at the same time?

Hi,
You could also check the http access logs for such info. There you could see records for the received requests, with each record starting with the source IP that initiated the request.
The default location for access logs is ${DOMAIN_HOME}/servers/${SERVER_NAME}/logs. Of course in your case, the ${SERVER_NAME} would be your admin server name (AdminServer if left as default).

Using the Admin Console

Hello.
I can't seem to get my Admin Console working ok for my new install of J2EE working.
I can start the domain, get to the log on page and log in,
but when i do the images are missing. I.e the folder pictures that make the left hand bar look like a tree and the logos across the top.
The images on the page point to:
http://localhost:4848/images/
but the actual pictures appear to be
D:\ApplicationServer\lib\install\applications\admingui\adminGUI_war\images
How can i change those settings? or what exactly should i do?
most of the pages have script errors in them as well making it impossible to upload my web applications.
Does anybody konw what i can do?

What browser version are you using and on which platform? There are two sets of images - one that come from /com_sun_web_ui/images and the other that come from /images. Any idea which ones do not display in the browser? Do you see the little triangle image in the tree, left to the "Applications" node? Do you see a small diamond-shaped image on left of "Applications" node in the tree?

Regarding Participant Creation::Authentication in Oracle BPM Admin Console

Q1:- Could anyone help me in validating whether we can additional information about participant in Admin console. The parameters available for Participant creation are:
UserId, First Name,Last Name, Email, Password, Confirm Passowrd, etc.
Now suppose, I want to add Manager's information also like Manager's Name and Manager's ID with the Participant information. These fields are not present in Participant Creation form.
Is it possible to add these information also?? If yes, how??
Q2:- We are using PAPI API where we have ASP.net which is used as Front-End and thru PAPI, BPM process is initiated which means we are not going to use BPM Workspace at all. Is it possible that we can disable the Authentication property of BPM Engine when we require interaction with external .net application via PAPI API. Please suggest?

Admin Console 9.3.1.3

Hi,
I am facing a strange issue lately with EAS console via Web launcher. It has been working fine before and nothing has changed in the env. The Console freezes immediately after the first activity (any activity, like editing Sub variables or opening Outline, expanding Essbase servers etc) on the first session of the first user, after restarting the Web app server and/or Hyperion modules restart. It allows me to so only one activity per restart.
Essbase and planning are up, as I can access the data via Planning forms & Excel add-in and I can also run MAXL scripts.
I have tested this a number of times, it freezes after the first activity after the restart
Did anyone experience similar issue before?
Checked all start-up logs, all modules are successfully up.
I would also like to try with a local install of EAS console. Is there any place I can download 9.3.1.3 Admin console install files? I have a 9.3.1 client, which cannot connect to 9.3.1.3 server because of version incompatibility.

Hi Ethan,
This issue may be related to Java version. The EAS web launcher uses Java/JRE from the system that your trying the URL.
Whats the version of JRE on the system? Is it supported for 9.3.1 ? (Are you sure the JRE has not been upgraded by chance?)
Alternatively, if you want to download installers for 9.3.1, you will have to create Media SR from Oracle Support.

Customizing portal admin console

hi,
I have a requirement to display only pages, portlets, roles for entitilement only to display to specific setof users in portal administration console.
How to customize portal administration console.

As Kevin already mentioned, Delegated Adminstration will work perfectly for your requirement and this is very powerful feature from Weblogic Portal. You can control any areas of Portal Admin Console, using this Delegated Admin Privileges. Open Portal Admin Console, create some DA Roles. For this DA Roles, add some users or groups etc. Then for specific areas of Portal Admin console, on right side almost for any page, you will see 2 tabs named Entitlements and Delegated Adminstration. Use the DA Tab to assign these Roles. And login with those Users.

GMS Admin console: Changes made by user not being saved

Hi,
with GMS 2.0.1 and groupwise for auth and provisioning, users can log in to the gms admin console with gw credentials just fine. but if the user tries to save changes in the groupwise settings, changes won't be applied.

"An Error has occurred!"
what's weird is the fact that changes will be saved under device settings.
i assume this must be a rights issue in the groupwise connector.
what has to be done to get this working again. users need to be able to adjust their settings by themselves.

Can't access to Portal Admin Console.

Hi all,
I'm working with WLP 10.2. I've created the ear-file (using maven) and deployed it on server (with Unix-system). The current application works well.
My current task is a creation portal in streaming mode. Unfortunately I can't access to Portal Admin console for resolving task. I always retrieve "Error 404 (Not found)".
As I know the admin-tools.war is responsible for Portal Admin Console. I've checked admin-tools.war is running on server (with status "Active").
I'm using the next path for running Portal Admin Console: {serverhost:port}/{context root of admin-tools}/portal.portal.
Maybe, Should I set up(correct) application.xml or weblogic.xml?
Please let me know if you have any ideas.

I think your URL is wrong, try with the following...
http://{server:port}/{name_your_ear}Admin/portal.portal
name_your_ear= The name of your Enterprise Application.
For example,
http://localhost:7001/DemosEarAdmin/portal.portal
