Can't unlock my ipod!

I have an ipod touch, 4th generation. I was in the middle of playing a game when it froze. I ended up having to close the game. When the screen lock locked something happened...there is now a voice that repeats everything I'm trying to do, wich wasn't there before. I can't unlock my screen lock. The code involves numbers that I can't type in. Does anyone know what happened and how I can possibly resolve this problem? Thank you.

You have the accessibility VoiceOver feature turned on.
Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three finger to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see:

If I could unlock it, I could possible find out whose it is/was or at least use it. Not sure what model or what operating system it has. Was lost in 2010 in the fall of that year.

James5wins, you do not have to restore as new. Restoring from backup does NOT restore the screen-lock passcode.

I chose by mistake ''voice over'' and now I can't unlock my iPod

Yesterday while I was changing some settings I saw that Voice Over, I didn't know what it was so I chose it and then I couldn't choose anything else. The lower portion of my ipod touch's touch screen is not working. The display looks fine, yet I can't unlock my iPod.

I just restored my ipod to its factory settings, hoping it would start working again. Yet when it finally turns on I find that i can't unlock it. The display looks fine, as everything still moves and the languages still change. Is there any way for me to restore the touch screen?
