Can't update apps with correct Apple ID!

For months now, I have been unable to update my apps either on my computer or on my iPhone. Attempting to update apps, whether all at once or individually, on my iPhone results in the error "Cannot access iTunes store." However, I am able to download new apps just fine through the store. In the Apps section of iTunes on my computer, it says "43 updates available" in the bottom right. When I click that, it says "No updates are currently available. To check for updates with another Apple ID, sign in with that Apple ID." I know the apps need to be updated because 1) it tells me so on my phone and 2) the version numbers have been superceded. I don't have another Apple ID. Besides that, I checked "Get Info" on every single app and every one of them was downloaded with the Apple ID that I am signed into iTunes with on both my computer and my phone. I have signed in and out of my account multiple times on both my computer and my iPhone. I have rebooted both. Today I did a reset and restore on my iPhone using my latest backup, from earlier in the day. I put my apps back onto my iPhone. Nothing has changed.
I don't know what else to do! Can anyone help?

I just re-downloaded all of my free apps through the iTunes Store on my computer. It behaved as if I had never downloaded the app before. The apps all synced up just fine with my iPhone and have disappeared from my Updates list in the AppStore on my phone. The count of my apps needing updates has gone down in iTunes as well. But I still can't update the apps I haven't downloaded again. I don't want to repurchase my paid apps, many of which I use every day!

I keep getting this error when trying to update my apps.
"To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it."
I only have one apple ID that I am signed in on. At one time I was associated with another computer (MAC book Pro) but I disassociated myself from that device all together. The updates do apply to my current device when comparing the current version for each app.
I was able to update itunes at one point, but I cannot update imovie, iphoto or keynote.
Help please!

Has nothing to do with the machine. You need to use the same AppleID in the app store as you used originally to purchase those apps. Purchases are tied to an AppleID, not a device.

i installed a lot of Apps on my iPad (both free and purchased), then a sad day i had to change my apple ID (due to some mistakes in configuring the ipad for my wife with a different apple ID and for icloud...).
Now i have apps with my last apple ID account and apps with my previous one.
When i have to update Apps with my last apple ID, there's no problem, but when i try to update Apps installed with the OLD one a problem occurs and even if i type the right password for it i get always the same message: Impossible to connect to iTunes Store!
Password for old apple ID is correct because i can log on line at account page on https://appleid.apple.com/it/
I read everywhere that having Apps with different account on the same Ipad is allowed, so....What's the Problem??

Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

What a ****, now it happens to me too, first it was an issue in bro's iphone that he couldn't update its iP's apps which resulted to delete his all apss and install them again no matter whether those were purchased ones or feebies. That really *****, I hate it .
Now, its happening to me as well which I really don't like, I don't wanna loose my apps collection, please help me to update my apps. I tried it with Itumes 11 but it did't work. Stucked up with this apple web. Please save me and give me a solution.

I got this from another post from 2011 and it worked for me
I just changed went into settings,then date and time, turn off set automatically,then change date to two days ahead.
Then go back and try updating apps again, it worked for me instantly. Don't forget to go back and CORRECT DATES

Can't update apps from old apple id

I updated my apple id e-mail and now I can't update an app associated with the old e-mail. The old password won't work and when I have it send an e-mail to reset my password I never get the e-mail.

Did you update the email used in the old Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID? If you made a new Apple ID, that was not a good idea. Content is for ever tied to the ID that bought it. Only that I can be used to redownload content and to update the content. Apple does not tranfer content from one Apple ID to another nor does Apple merge Apple IDs. You will need to continue to use the old ID to update the content or abandon it all as is.

I have installed some apps on my iPhone 5s with my friend`s apple id before , but now I wanna install some other apps using my apple id through iTunes with my mcbook.
is it possible ? Coz I keep receiving the msg that says this computer is not authorized . but I have authorized my apple id and everything is fine.
Do I have to delete those other apps ? or is there any better ways ?

Help...ipad2, did ios5 upgrade yesterday which made me change apple id for an email account instead of my usual one word username. Now can't update apps because old apple id still pops up asking for also previous pwd.!!

Apple ID big mess...one misspelled username, one "old" username that won't accept pwd and new id that will not pop up for use in app udates or itunes!!!!!! HELP!?

You need to sort out which iTunes account is valid (use iTunes on computer and login with the correct acct/password), as all of your Apps should still be associated with that account. If you are referring to the iCloud account that you set up at the install of iOS5, you can still have have a separate iTunes account that's different than what you use for iCloud. However, Apple recommends that you use your iTunes account login for both if you want to later use music streaming/iTunes Match. If you decide to have different iCloud/iTunes accounts on the same device, go to Setting>Store and then enter your old iTunes account email and password there. If your iCloud username is messed up, you can delete the account from the device under settings>icloud; you can then set up a new one or select that you want to use your iTunes account.

Can't Update apps because wrong Apple ID appears on phone

I have a 5s. Shortly after getting it, I synced it to the MacBook that my husband and I share. Ever since then, his Apple ID appears when I try to update my apps from the app store on my phone. My apple ID is what is entered in my settings, and my apple ID is what shows up if I purchase an app. However, his ID shows up when I go to update.
This happened a few years ago when he had a 3 and I had a 4. We didn't actually do anything to fix it. We just re-synced my phone, and suddenly my apple ID was back where it belonged instead of his showing up in my app store. That is not the case this time. I can't figure out how to get rid of his ID from my app store.
Also, I seem to remember that when you would sync your phone, the apps would automatically update during a sync. That no longer happens. Am I crazy? I swear they used to update during sync. Anyway, if they can't get updated when I sync, how am I supposed to update them if I can't remove his ID from my app store? Please help!!!!!!!

I had a similar problem on my iPhone and the problem turned out to be that I had restrictions set to not allow account changes. Once I unset this option (settings-General-restrictions), I could change my apple ID. Could something similar be happening to you?

iTunes shows me that there are 4 updates for apps (for the iPhone/iPod Touch) available but everytime I click the "x Updates available"-message iTunes does something online and shows then the message:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occured (5002).
There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.
I have this problem since I installed iTunes 8. The count for the available updates increases and I can buy apps through the Appstore in iTunes and can also buy music.
I restarted iTunes and my computer, nothing helped.
Any ideas?

Just updated to Mavericks and now I can't update apps using my Apple ID

A few days ago I updated my 2012 Macbook Pro to Mavericks. Today I tried to update my apps but instead of asking for the password of my Apple ID, it asked for my dad's ID. The ID section was greyed out. The apps were all downloaded using my Apple ID. This didn't happen before I updated my Macbook.

To update you must log into the Apple ID that was used to set up the computer - if yu have account issues contact the App store support - link in on the right of the App store window

Restore the device to factory settings with iTunes.
Then launch the App Store app on the iPad and sign in with your Apple iD and password:

Apps will always be tied to the ID in which they were purchased or downloaded under. You can not change this unless you buy or download the free app using the new ID.

You need to delete and redownload them to do that. This may require repurchasing paid ones.

Version: 9.2.1" When I try to update, it pops up to say "These apps cannot be accepted by your apple id - These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID and they will be available in that Apple ID's purchases list. After I upgraded to Mavericks I was also having this message when I tried to update. There was a previous post about this problem which offered this simple solution which worked for me:

Got it! Thanx. What I did was go to my account, check that they had my new ID and Password which they did, then hit reset button. All fixed.
