Can't update because need to transfer purchases

I am trying to update to 7.0.3 but a message comes up stating that I need to transfer purchases from my iPhone to my iTunes library, but I have but the message keeps appearing. How do I make sure my purchases are transferred and then get rid of the message if it is in error? Thank you.

Can't update because wrong email

My parents bought me a used Mac Laptop Christmas one year, since it was used, there was an email saved in the App Store.
There are a few things I can NOT update because the update for it is threw this email that is NOT mine.
iPhotos being one of them, I now can NOT access iPhotos because it needs to be updated, I googled this issue but never found anything to fix it.
I do NOT know what to do, please help.
I mostly care about iPhotos but the other updates are:
Software Update OS X Update 10.10.2
Xcode
iPhoto
iMovie

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store

The problem with those two apps is that they are supposed to be in your Apple ID and you didn't set up the Mac properly/completely when you got it.
You might try deleteing them and using OS X Recovery to install them again.

After that, before you open any iLife apps go to your Mac App Store account, to the Purchased pane and Accept them into your account.

1. Sync wasn't intended to be used in that manner. You would be better off carrying around a USB Flash Stick with Portable Firefox for use on "strange" PC's.
2. You could open the "Library" {Ctrl + Shift + B} and highlight all those bookmarks and then delete them all at once. But that would also delete all the other bookmarks, and it isn't foolproof. All another person would need to do it to '''''restore''''' a bookmark backup file that has your bookmarks. Beyond that, a new Profile could be created and then the current Profile deleted; but that's "messing with" someone else's computer - an action that is worthy of terminating a friendship over, IMO.
And if that "public" computer was set up properly, Sync should have been disabled.

You are doing all that you cn do right now other than to update the apps in iTunes on your computer and sync them to the iPad.
There has been a problem with the App Store updates tab for a few days now and we are all waiting for Apple to fix it.
Look at all of the discussions on the iPad forum that are talking about this right now.

No, if they bought it, then its theirs. You may wish to contract iTS for options in case it was part of the Mac Acceptance.

You might be using an invalid email address that you are sending to or your mail settings for the account are wrong. Check the address and I would delete the email account and reenter it

hello, i want to upgarde OS X Maverics but after some dowloading, it quits because of error and table under it shows incompactible files- iphoto. I neeed new version of iPhoto, but problem is, that iphoto was purchased under my husb apple id, and i can't update it. Any soliution?

You need to sign into the AppStore with the Apple ID used to buy the software. If your husband does not remember the password, it can be reset by him at the MyAppleID page.

Is all the stuff that is on your ipod on your computer? If it is than you don't have to back it up. If not all of it is on your computer use this program http://www.copypod.net/ to transfer the songs from your ipod to your computer.

I changed my apple id, and now I can't update my apps that were purchased/downloaded from my old apple id....HELP!!

I am getting frustrated because I can't update my apps that were downloaded under the old apple id. Any thoughts on how to fix this? I have already tried signing back in under my old apple id and it says that that id is no longer in use.

Applications are connected to the Apple ID that they were purchased/downloaded with. If you updated your ID, you should be able still sign in with that ID, if you are logged into that ID on the phone. However, if you created a new Apple ID, then you would not be able to use that ID to update the apps.
