Can't update bridge
When I upgraded to cs5. Can't quite remember what I did but anyway at this point I can't update bridge. It keeps telling me that bridge had been moved and to reinstall it. I tried that with no luck.

CS5 comes with Bridge CS5 and there is no need to use CS4 version of Bridge for this. If your install was correct you should have also this new Bridge version on your system.
Maybe you can give more details about what version (suite or PS / PS extended etc) and what system version you are on.
And did you install the CS5 version in the default location for the applications (on root level) and not in your own user account?

contacted customer service they could not help me I have previously had Photoshop on two other computers I deactivated it from one computer to put on a new one put. Can not do the updates I need them for camera Raw.

I have CS6 and I just got a new Leica D-LUX and can not view my RAW (.RWL) images in Bridge what do I do? I already tried updating Bridge from the Help menu.
Did you use the Migration Assistant to help set up the new iMac using some of the files in the older PC? Some likely won't mean much, unless you have applications that can use or convert them. There's also a way to use the software Time Machine to import data files from an external or another computer, so you may have used that, too.
Hopefully someone with experience in a similar issue will reply...

Can't update to Bridge CS6 5.0.2
When I try to update Bridge CS6 5.0.2 (from v. 5.0.0.399) I get Error Code U44M1P7.

I have Adobe Bridge CS5 Vers.4.00.529.Can I update directly to Vers. 4.5?? Or do I need to go step by step 4.1 to 4.2 ect.??
Add some blank-mp3s to the playlist. Note you can trim residual silence from the start or end of tracks using Get Info, Options tab, but if they weren't orignally sequential tracks ripped from a gapless album you may still have some disjoint between tracks 2 & 3.

I am trying to update Bridge but I keep getting a message to turn off Bridge. It is not on. How do I fix this so it can finish updateing?
In the advanced Bridge preferences, there is an option to start at login. I have never used this option, but I believe it loads part of Bridge automatically if that option is selected. I'm using Windows, and have what is called a system tray. Software such as Bridge (and others) will have an icon displayed in the system tray (lower right-hand corner of the screen). Is it possible that Bridge is loaded at least to the point that it is in the system tray?

The updater Adobe tells me every few minutes I have new pending updates (Bridge, Dreamweaver, Extension Manager, Fireworks, Flash Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Camera Raw), I give accept all or separately one by one, it starts the discharged smoothly and then tells me this: have not been able to install the updates, try again or if you need assistance, please contact customer service. I give the link and I get: error page, sorry this page is not avaliable, error returned 404 ..

Unable to update bridge or photoshop.
I purchased photo shop, bridge and light room pre installed on my laptop direct from Sony. I'm unable to update bridge as the error message appears.
(Bridge is unable to check for updates.
The most likely causes are an inability to connect to the internet or being logged in as a non-administrative user.)
I have asked Sony for help which they haven't been able to provide and I'm connected to the internet. I am also the only user of this laptop. In photo shop it doesn't even give me the option of updating. I am only able to use part of these programs and not view any photos in Raw as I can't download the converter.

Installed successfully, but can't update. Error "Serial Number is not for qualifying product"
I installed Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium (CS5) on a new PC (Windows 8.1). Installation was successful. I uninstalled it on old PC and de-activated it. My problem is that I can't Update. Without Updates, I can't read newer Canon photos (so I can't use Bridge or PhotoShop). In doing the install the first time, I put in an incorrect Adobe product number (I think from Elements 8.0, which I purchased years ago). I have re-installed twice using the correct serial number, but same result: I can't Update the programs and get a "Serial Number is not for qualifying product" error.. Please help. Dave

I have installed Photoshop/Lightroom CC (for photographers) Photoshop will start up but Bridge will not. I tried to update Bridge CC but the update stops and tells me to exit Bridge CS5. To my knowledge it is not running. Ihave CS5 installed on my computer and want to keep it so I can use Illustrator and Indesign so I don 't want to un install it. I have tried rebooting but that does not help -Bridge CC will not start and if I try to Update it on CC it again tells me to shut down Bridge CS5. HELP!
You have CS5 running in background. In Bridge preferences/advanced uncheck "start bridge at login".

When I started Photoshop CS2 I was informed that an update to CS2 was available. I requested that the update be installed. The update proceeded for some minutes and then a message reported that it was unable to update Bridge because to update to version 1.0.4 required version 1.0.3 which was not present. The version actually present is 1.0.0.545. How do I update my Photoshop CS2 so that Bridge becomes version 1.0.3, so that I can complete the current update?
The updater is, to put it politely, a bit dodgy. I would go to the Updates page on this site and find the necessary updates needed there then install them in sequential order.

I can't update acrobat 8 to 8.1, on Intel Mac. I says I need to reactivate plug-ins. Version 8 won't run Distiller.

I checked and fileVault has been off and I tried uninstalling. After reinstalling when I went to upgrade either it didn't do any good, gave me the message it couldn't upgrade because of some plug-in/ETC. or Acrobat was grayed out when I went to select it as the program location to upgrade.
I did find the blog, pasted below, but doing all this hasn't helped.
I will try again but I need to know, should I allow the autoupdaterer do the update or should I do it manually? Or any other suggestions you may be able to give me.

Distiller 8 problem with Intel Mac?

I just upgraded my desktop Mac in order to install CS3. I'm already running CS3 on a G4PB with no problems. Aside from the Intel/PPC difference, both computers have the same setups and files, both currently running OSX.4.11. (The new computer was set up by migrating setups from the old computer via firewire, then CS3 was installed.)
On the new computer, when I try to distill a file with Distiller 8, the file doesn't process (error message below). The same file processes OK with Distiller 7 on the new computer, also with Distiller 8 on the G4PB. The results are the same whether I'm using prebuilt or custom Distiller settings.
With Distiller 7:

OK - solved it (on my Mac at least)...
Firstly, what I think the problem is is that the 8.1.2 update do not mention the word English - I got onto this clue when I studied the installer log for 8.0 Professional - it showed that distiller was only installed to 8.1 - I was baffled and examined the files at length, then went through this...
1. Uninstall Adobe Acrobat Professional
2. Go to the Adobe site and download Bridge Start Meeting 1.0.1 (I believe the uninstaller crashes components in this and if you install without in firstly installed - the installer will ask you for the disk containing it).
3. Remember this is the install and fix for an APPLE MAC Intel mac...
4. Install Acrobat Professional 8.0 from your original CS3 DVD
5. Go to Adobe site and download Acrobat Professional Update 8.10 (file name should read AcroProUpd810_efgi.dmg, and I believe the efgi bit is English, French, German, Italian, and as it clearly mentions English I think I (and many like me) messed up by using the 8.1.2 update which doe NOT mention English and obviously does not update Distiller, in fact, I think and feel - it probably corrupts it...
I hope this helps those suffering like me (it took ages to work this one out), tied now - I need a beer....

"This multilingual update can be applied to Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish, and Swedish versions of Acrobat 8 Professional. For more information, see the technical document describing the Acrobat 8.1.2 update in the Support Knowledgebase."
No mention of English - only Multiple Languages...

Where did you see that text at? The 8.1.2 is for English as well as 14 other languages. -
Can't start bridge from photoshop.
After updating bridge to new version. I try to launch bridge in photoshop with the "browse in bridge" menu option. Instead of launching bridge like it used to, it now goes to cc installer and asks to install bridge. It keeps looping like this endlessly. Even after shutting down computer and restarting.
Bridge can open manually via program files folder. The problem is it wont start through photoshop files->browse in photohop menu. It instead opens the CC panel and asks to download Bridge. No matter what I select it downloads bridge CC only and goes back into a loop. If I open bridge manually in the menu I can't access tools>photoshop>image processor which I use a lot and saves enormous amount of time for some of the work. Till it gets fixed I am wasting hours each day manually doing what image processor used to do.

A few weeks ago Creative Cloud CS6 Bridge failed on an attempt to update - Bridge is now gone - how do I reinstall?
Bridge in Cs6 come along with other creative suite product like PS, ID, Ai etc, it will be tough to do the installation of just Bridge without uninstalling any of this product through AAM.
You can download the trial from Adobe.com of any of this software and can perform the repair installation to get back Bridge but I will be interested to know how Adobe Bridge vanished from computer all of a sudden, May be it is still there ?
