Can't update CS4 at all on 10.6.4

Photoshop runs on my mac, but it's buggy and unstable. Crashes all the time. Update has never worked. I get messages that say "the disk image cannot be accessed" for each of the updates. I have tried uninstalling PS, then reinstalling, but didn't help. Anyone have any suggestions on what's going on? Thank you.
PS. I have iMac 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4GB 800 MHZ (lots of avail memory, too)

When you did your uninstall did you do it from the CD?
Then before you reinstalled did you one reboot, second run the Adobe CS Clean Script, and third reboot again before the reinstall?

How can I update the firmware all at once

I'm a tech support in a school, approximately our school has over 500 laptops, how can I update the firmware on all laptops at once?

Apple Configurator is the software you want - and it's free from Apple. However, I'm dubious that firmware can be updated all at once.

Can't Update CS4 on New Laptop Running Windows 7 64bit

I just upgraded a 2 year old slow laptop running 32 bit Vista to a brand new Asus G73JW laptop running Windows 7 64 bit. It is a really fast laptop with 8G RAM, 1.5GB dedicated graphics card, full 1920 x 1080 HD res, solid state drive for operating drive etc. It is a beast of a laptop that boots up fully in about 10 seconds and it was built for HD gamers. Needless to say I am pretty excited to get to work on my favourite Adobe software, which is Premiere Pro and Photoshop mostly.
Everything on the laptop works great but... I installed my CS4 Production Premium without a problem, however, the Adobe Updater will not work. I tried it about 10 times now, rebooting, trying various programs to try the updates etc, to no avail. They are very important updates, as the software will not function properly in several programs without the updates. I can't find anything about this specific issue, has anyone had this problem with Windows 7 64 bit?
FYI everything worked fine with the Vista 32 bit, including updates.
I am pretty frustrated now and I just want to start using the software, and I would really appreciate any suggestions anyone may have.
I already have an e-mail in to Asus to find out if the latest NVidia GTX 460M graphics card driver can be updated on my system. There are a few other drivers I am looking into updating as well to see if that will help.

As to your overall problem, Win7 has a lot of automatic security settings that you may need to fix

HELP?? Can't update my ipod all of the sudden??

I hooked my iPOD to my computer the other day to update some songs and walked away. Assuming all was well, I unhooked my iPOD and went through my music on the iPOD and suddenly, no songs AT ALL were there. Now, when I try to update my entire library again (over 900 songs), a box on my iTUNES pops up and states:
Songs on the iPOD cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exist.
HELP??? I tried to change my drive letter and that didn't work - what should I do...any suggestions? PLEASE?

You get this problem when the option 'Sync Music - Selected playlists' is being used to sync your iPod and then the playlist it has been updating from is deleted. Most people use this setting when the iPod is smaller than the iTunes library. If your library is larger than the capacity of your iPod, iTunes by default makes a new playlist called something along the lines of "Owner's iPod". If you for any reason delete it, you will not be able to sync your iPod.
Open iTunes and create a playlist to update your iPod from, call it -iPod to make it the first playlist in Sources. You can make this a normal playlist and drag whatever you want to it or you can make it a random Smart playlist. If you are making a smart playlist limit it to just less than the size of your iPod (for example 3700MB for a 4G iPod Nano). Now connect your iPod and when it appears in the Source list click on the iPod icon to bring up the preference tabs in the main pane. Go to the Music tab and choose Sync Music and the Selected playlists radio button. Choose the playlist you just made from the selection and click Apply. You can also sync from any existing playlists by choosing the same setting:

I've purchased and a computer technician installed on my PC a brand new MSI GTX580 TwinFrozr 2 OC...!!
The problem is that my GTX580 has the old BIOS Version and i have to update it....!!! No matter how many times i tried to update it with Live update 5 it didn't work at all...!!! Live update 5 doesn't begin at all ..it always pops up an error message...!! Then i did a research in the forum and tried to update the BIOS with the Method of a USB stick Boot...... i did the exact things as needed but i just can't update it at all....!!! Will MSI release another Version of Live Update that it will work.???? Is there another way to update to the latest BIOS under Win7 .???? I have Win7 32-bit version....!!! Please help me, i'm freaked out ...!! I paid almost 500 Euro for this Card...!!!

CS4 Prod Premium-can't update or uninstall

My basic issue is that updates to the suite won/t work. Nothing will update and there is no error message as to why.Now I discover can't uninstall CS4.
Yes, I've been in contact with support and they told me to run the windows cleanup utility and remove all CS4 items. I did that. But uninstall through project manager still stops on the first screen but gives me no hint why.
I will, of course go back to support but I am hoping that someone might have some experience or guidance that I might try prior to that. Projects are just sitting here while we try to sort this out. Arghhh.

but I think I explained it not exactly enough: I know that the old Flash installation is looking for a file that seems to be on antoher pc / server / disc or what ever, but the problem is, that I did not install the Flash Player that I would like to remove, respectively upadte to the newest version.
It is part of the Toshiba Recovery DVD. That means, after killing the HD and setting up the system completely new with the Toshiba Recovery DVD, this little tricky Flash Player is already installed.
It seems to be that there is a wrong link or setup on this DVD. But if that is the case, I can not be the only one with this problem, or?
And is there any way to remove this thing manually?

The problem is I can only update the software on one of the three iPhones – the primary phone I used to setup the iTunes acct. What is the best solution to manage these devices for software updates, apps? This is probably a common problem with families wanting to share apps and music without realizing the issues created by this approach. As it stands today... the first (primary) iPhone associated with the iTune acct has been updated with the latest software version 5.1.1 and sync'd up with all the apps, music, etc from the one iTune acct, while the other two iPhones are still running on the original software version 4.0.2 and are experiencing problems now. I was advised by AT&T back in January that it would be necessary to setup separate iTunes accts for the second and third iPhones in order to receive system updates. The problem would be how to keep all the apps, etc from being deleted off the second and third phones that were originally loaded from the one iTunes acct. Since this AT&T advice was prior to iCloud coming out, would iCloud be a better solution or at least part of the solution? I really don't yet understand how iCloud works. I deviated from the instructions by manually deleting all my contacts while in Mobile Me before trying the forced update because it hadn't worked in the past to force transfer the addresses. I thought starting with a clean slate might be a step ahead. Now that clean slate seems permanent.
The gutsy move was to make Mobile Me download the empty address book into my MacPro. My address book went empty until I restored it through the archive I'd saved. It proved the computer and Mobile Me are communicating since it wiped out my address book on my desktop. I restored everything by importing the archive back into the address book. Thankfully that part is fine.
What is not working is for me to get ANY addresses to move back to Mobile Me despite repeated attempts at changing the reset action through the advanced selection of Mobile Me in System Preferences. I've unselected syncing and restarted the computer. I've signed out of MM and signed back in. I've closed the browser and opened it fresh again. I've closed and opened Address Book on the computer. None of those actions make a whit of difference. Mobile Me contacts remains empty when I tell it to replace MM with the contents of my AB on my MacPro.
I see under the gear there is an ability to import vCards. Is there any way to do a batch import? I have almost 700 addresses separated into more than a dozen groups. It will be a mighty tedious process to import them one by one.

You might want to browse or search through that one and then create a new post there if you can't find an answer; I've heard of posts detailing problems with iLife applications if you either buy a used Mac or wipe/reinstall your OS. I'm not knowledgeable enough about that subject, but somebody there should be.

Hi thanks i just finished uninstalling itunes, i restarted my computer and then reinstalled itune and now the ipod is being recongnised but i tells me "this ipod can not be used because the apple mobile device is not started"what does this mean?
