Can't update Elements to 12.1.

My Mac system keeps crashing, and the suggestion is to update to Elements 12.1. However, when I try to do this, it tells me to close Elements Auto Analyzers and Organizer Revel Agent. I can't find these to close them. I close Elements and Elements Organizers, but it cannot complete the update. Can someone tell me where to find the two other items?

In windows, close them in task manager. On a mac go to applications>utilities>activity monitor and you can close them there.

Can I update elements 11 to import olympus RAW files from my new OM-D M5 mk 2?

I have bought a new Olympus OMD E-M mark 2. Great, but my copy of Elements 11 won't import its RAW files. I have tried to instal RAW 6.4.1 and RAW 7.1 patches but the installer just says it's the wrong version even though I downloaded from a Elements page. I've just re-installed the Application Manager and that didn't help. Please can you help me find the right patch and get it working?

Can't update Elements 11

When I click on "Help" and "Updates" my copy of Elements 11 attempts to contact the server but fails. I've added Elements 11 to my Windows Firewall "allow through" list but it still can't contact the server.

Try at another time. Sometimes the Adobe servers just get busy.
There is only a camera raw 7.2 update which you don’t need unless you have a new camera and shoot in raw.

I see that Photoshop is updated camera raw (to 8), but is camera raw 7.4 elements 11. I bought a new camera and I do not recognize the raw, however comes in the list of camera raw 8. Do I have a problem in my program to update?

Try a manual update to ACR 8.1 like this:
Download the Plug-in zip file from here:

When you have it explore it and go here:
...setup.zip\payloads\AdobeCameraRaw7.0All-290513174249\Assets1_1.zip
Then extract the 1003 file, rename it and put it where the other .8bi file is, which you renamed to *.old. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements 11\File Formats)
This should also work with version 8.2, which is here:

Get an error saying not connected to internet. Yet the help and registration the software can connect. Use Firefox

Thank you. I followed the instructions carefully and the new raw file formats are listed but get error message "cannot open 'file_name.RW2' because it is the wrong type of file.
Tried 'Open A's. select Camera RAW (and it does list .RW2 which is the file extention for the Panny G raw files), and get this message: Could not complete your request because the file format module cannot parse the file'
Tried downloading 5.5 & installing it as well and same error messages. Will open .raw files.
I had ran the camera profiles.exe and they were installed. Installer did not give me option for where they were to be installed. Then moved the cameraraw.8bi file and copied the new one into the folder it was located /file formats.

Can't update or sign in to Revel account using Photoshop Elements 13

I have Adobe Revel and can't sign in using my online account usning the selection in the file menu group in Photoshop Elements 13. I can sign in to the Revel account directly but I can't update it. What can I do to correct this problem? I am running Window 7 64 bitt system

Can't update XML with optional element

Hi,
I'm trying to update an XML document (global XML Schema based) with an optional element (insert an optional element into an existing xml document).
The update statement seems to work but the optional element is missing when I select the document!
How can I update (insert) an optional element in an XML document?

Why can't I, or how can I, update Photoshop Elements 11 to open D7100 RAW files?

I purchased Elements 11 via the App Store, and cannot find a way to update the software so that the newest version of ACR (7.4) will work with it.
Some places seem to say that if I puchased through the App Store then I can only update the programme when Apple releases an official update! Is this seriously the case, so although Adobe have released a new version of ACR to allow users who purchased elsewhere to update the software, App Store users cannot?!
If this, ludicrously, is the case is there any information on when this update will occur? The D7100 has been out for over two months now.
I contacted Adobe and they said I have to speak to Apple as I purchased through them, and that they cannot help. However, the only support button I can find relating to Elements 11 on the App Store directs me to the Adobe pages! Rather frustrating.
Is there any other way that I can contact someone at Apple for some support on this?
(The D5100 I used to have worked fine, so it is definitely the case that it is the newer files compatibility that is causing the issue)

Apple waits for Adobe to provide updates to them (just because Adobe has made the update available as a direct download does not mean they provided the update to Apple at the same time). Then everything in the App store is vetted before it gets updated. It takes time, so there is always a lag between the Adobe version and the App store version.

Installed successfully, but can't update. Error "Serial Number is not for qualifying product"

I installed Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium (CS5) on a new PC (Windows 8.1). Installation was successful. I uninstalled it on old PC and de-activated it. My problem is that I can't Update. Without Updates, I can't read newer Canon photos (so I can't use Bridge or PhotoShop). In doing the install the first time, I put in an incorrect Adobe product number (I think from Elements 8.0, which I purchased years ago). I have re-installed twice using the correct serial number, but same result: I can't Update the programs and get a "Serial Number is not for qualifying product" error.. Please help. Dave

Having trouble updating Elements Organizer 11

Having trouble updating Elements Organizer 11. I started it using Administrator priveleges, disabled firewall but keep getting "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline". I am using Windows 8.1 x64. My current version is 11.0.0.0. I read that you may need to go into Adapter Settings and disable:
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter
Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter
Microsoft Hosted Network Virtual Adapter
but I didn't see those listed! Help!

Very frustrated! What do you mean by "focusing on my host files"? Every other reputable software company I know of has direct downloadable updates in case their "update manager" doesn't work, so I'm not sure why Version 11 of PSE doesn't have this capability. I need to get my software updated! Please help me (and I'm not the only one) get this working so I can move on to greater things. Please be specific (I'm pretty good with computers so don't be shy).

Cannot view RAW pics or update Elements, help please!

Hi, I have a new Panasonic Lumix FZ28 and I just bought and installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac. I just returned from vacation where I used my new camera, but when I tried to view my pics, only my jpeg files show up. So, I tried to update Elements which installed normally, but it will not update. It says, "The updater is unable to locate the product to be updated"! What?? It's trying to update the RAW 4.6 update. I don't know what to do.
iPhoto won't upload my RAW pics either. It shows them on the screen, but won't import them. I also tried copying the memory card to my external hard drive, which it did, but it also doesn't show my RAW pics. Why is this so difficult!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is all new to me.

Perhaps true, but no other application I know of will completely manage an accurate transfer of data from one computer to another. Indeed, given the complexity inherent in data transfer a 100% transfer in every respect may well have success odds greater than that of Powerball which, I'm told, would give the ticket purchaser a much better chance of getting struck by lightning twice before receiving a winning number.
In any case, I have learned from participation in other forums that too much information is usually more damaging in the quest for the "magic" logic process that delivers solution. Hence my restriction to information I felt was not only application specific, but relevant.
I thank you in no small amount. There was no way I could have figured out Adobe was leading me on a wild goose chase for the holy grail. Not their fault. A big company with lots of products can't help but miss a few links here and there. Your attention to forum posts and willingness to help has been extremely informative and hugely appreciated. I hope this discussion thread will be of value to others.
