Can't Update "Get Info"

Why are all of the fields in GET INFO protected? I want to update the Genre, Album, etc. but can't.

First thing to verify: right-click the song in your library, choose "show in windows explorer," right-click the file in windows explorer, and make sure that "read only" is not checked.

This VI is not one on the palette. I suggest using a search VI that can look in libraries to see if it is on your computer. You can find it at our advanced search page. Goto www.ni.com >> support >> advanced search (it is at the bottom--click on the words). This lauches the best way to search our site because under option 2 you can limit your searches to resources of interest. Enter vi library search in the all the words field and search just the example programs. It will be the one entitled Finding a File.

Can't update album info with Get Info

Hi While I am new to the Mac world I have used iTunes on the PC. My problem is that I have some random tracks from various albums that I want to group as one album in iTunes. So I've highlighted an item and hit Get Info and none of the fields are editable. How come?
Also I've tried it with multiple items and whilst it will let me update the info no problem when I hit OK it doesn't save the changes...
Arghh its driving me mad... any help would be appreciated

The files could be marked as *Read only* or your security permissions on those files might not include write access. For single files iTunes will probably know it can't change any data so disables the editable fields. For groups it will let you try to make changes, but silently fail to apply them.

Why can't i "get info"

I am trying to use "get info" to update song metadata in Itunes. my problem is that itunes won't save any changes I make within "get info". I use quoptations on "get info" because itunes has never "got" any "info" that I have not given to Itunes.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Sometimes you can get info and sometimes you cannot. I just tried to get ifno on a compilation and was successful. Yesterday I could not get info either by using command i or using the file get info menu (it was not highlighted to select). Appears to be a sometime problem. Yesterday after being unsuccessful severald time, it eventual worked. This isn't a solution to your problem but highlights that there appears to be a software glitch of some type. I'm not sophisticated enough in software to even begin to identiy what it is or a solution. I just know that it exists and cn be annoying..

Hi,
Last time I had this, the main vi was refering to a non existing help file
(took me forever to find out). Just delete the path to the help file in the
vi properties. That should do it.

Update "Get Info" Data in iTunes 11.1.3 on os X Mavericks 10.9.1

I am not able to update andy of the data in iTunes, Song, Get Info, Info, like the Artist etc.
Searched all the forum, all the answers seem to be for Windows users.
I've located the file in finder and set RW permissions to everyone.
I've turned off iTunes Match
Still not luck
Any ideas?

Are you properly signed in to the same Apple ID on iTunes as you are using on your iPhone and iPad?
If not, sign in using iTunes' menu (under Store).

Can't update the info for my music (e.g., artist names, ratings) on iTunes anymore.

I used to be able to update the info for my music (e.g., artist names, ratings) via iTunes, but it doesn't work anymore. In the past I'd change it in the music tab underneath my phone's tab. Using one band as an example, it's all spelled exactly the same on my computer in both music tabs (under my phone and on my computer), but it has various spellings still on my phone. Also, when I rate a song on my phone, it no longer shows when I plug into iTunes. I rate songs 1 star if I want to delete them later but it just doesn't work anymore. How can I fix this? However, I don't understand why you want to keep songs with incorrect info and then correct them on the phone every time you add them to the phone. Most people would want to do it one time.

How can I change "get info" on songs purchased through the Cloud?

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion, I have been unable to change any album info on songs that were purchased through the Cloud. this wasn't always the case. As we know, iTunes sometimes places songs/albums, etc., in the wrong category or genre. I'm simply trying to place it in the proper or desired catetory or place all songs on one album after iTunes split the album. But, when I right click on GET INFO, all of my options to make any changes are GREYED out and I can't select anything. Only the Summary window and the album artwork window are accessible.
After doing some research I determined that it is indeed only those songs that have the CLOUD icon beside them. I truly don't understand the CLOUD and how it works enough to even know what I did to change it...or how to change it back! And before the upgrade, that cloud icon didn't exist. Thoughts? ideas? Hope this all makes sense.

I presume you mean songs purchased from iTunes Store.
It would appear that you have not downloaded the tracks to your computer. Once you have downloaded the tracks you will be able to change info.

Can't update song info in itunes

I keep my iTunes library on an external drive and recently had to replace the hard drive in my PC, at the same time I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7.
Now I can't update any of the information on the songs which were already on the external drive. Any new songs are fine.
Can soemone help?

Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.
If it won't let you change the permissions use the Owner tab to take ownneship from an account with administror privileges.

I can't update payment info

Can't update payment info for CC

My Credit Card expiration date needs to be updated ASAP! It will be rejected on Mon. Aug 5th when Adobe tries to bill it again.
Each time I log in to "Manage Your Account" at https://creative.adobe.com/account/plans I get the dreaded Error Message, "We're sorry, something seems to be wrong on our end. Please try again later."

I'm having the same problem with no luck.
They bill me 3 times from abril to June but since July I receive an email said that the can't charge my credit card, I check my statement and there is no trouble, enough credit is available to make my payment. Trying to update the credit card information to see if the recurring payment resume with no luck at all and receiving the same message
