Can't update Ios5 says I need 10.5 which I have..

So I try to update to IOS5 and every time I do a message pops up saying I need itunes 10.5(which i've already downloaded) and every time it checks for the update it says there are none and that I dont need to update anything. Yet every time I try to update to ios 5 I keep getting the same message. Any help would be great

try opening up finder then go to library / preferences
delete the folder called com.apple.HITOOLBOX.plist
restart your computer
check for new software updates, itunes update should be available to you now

You are confusing two different versions of the iMovie app. You have downloaded an update to the boxed version that Apple sold in the past. Yoi cannot update the version that Apple now sells in the Mac App Store with that update.

At certain times I get a Red Square bos. It says that this so and so page are attack pages and tells me to install an update from Firefox. Not being sure what to do I immediately close Firfox without installing the update it says I needed to do.

It's a Red box with a Policeman on it, saying this is a reported attack site and says I need to install a Firefox update. I immediately close my History on Firefox, and then close the browser. Don't install the update it says I need to, since Red usually means STOP. Have gone to the Firefox website to see about new updates. Should I go ahead and install the update?

Is your iMac running okay? Where are you getting this update from? Especially if it is an e-mail, I would not do what the 'update' is suggesting.
Your profile shows you are running Mavericks. If everything is okay, then it would appear to me you don't need to download something to run Mavericks.

The music is stored on the iTunes library. This library isn't deleted when you uninstall or reinstall iTunes, so you will keep everything. Anyway, it's better to make a backup of the library. Apart from that, you can download the purchased music as many times as you want

It may seem strange indeed, but yes, you have to ALSO install the older version 6 for Apple's system; other applications will use your Java (which I believe is now even 9) and others will use that version 6.

Update: I reset my phone again and this time I restored it from my last iCloud backup. That "sort of" worked. (The missing info was on my phone temporarily, but it's still missing from iCloud.com and as the phone syncs with the cloud the missing contacts are disappearing.)

Updated pages today but when I try to open a document I created I get a message saying you need new version, but i have the new version! So frustrating - HELP!

Updated Pages today - created a document. Went back few hours later to send it as email attachment - got a message saying Pages needs to be updated to open. Went to Mac app page and it said it was updated. Document won't open - what do I do???? Keeps saying to upgrade but it is upgraded - ARGH!

Here is a possible solution.
You should still have Pages 4.3, the old version, on your computer in Applications>iWork09. If you have the old Pages 4.3 running when you open the file, Pages 4.3 will warn you that you need to update because the new Pages uses a different file format. You can open the file in two ways.
Quit Pages 4.3, then open the file.
Right-click the file and choose to open the file in Pages 5.0.
