I installed my ipod software. Great! Easy to use. Then my computer crashed for other reasons. I got a new computer, installed again, and when I try to update my iPod, iTunes tells me they can't update my songs because the playlists I am updating (I did create a couple on the old computer) are gone.
Now I can't update my iPod cause I got a new computer? HELP!

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card.

Want to update ipod 4g to 4.3.3 not 4.3.5 but itunes only shows 4.3.5 any ideas?

I have an ipod 4th gen that has the 4.2.1 software that I am finally willing to upgrade to 4.3.3. I do not want to upgrade to 4.3.5 yet however as I am hearing too many issues with this software (a friend no longer can use her ipod in the car) but I would like to be able to use ibooks and for that I need 4.3.3. My itunes only gives my the option to update to 4.3.5 is there any way I can change it to 4.3.3?

There are no credible issues with the iOS 4.3.5 software. I have been using it since it was released with no problems. Just go ahead and update to 4.3.5.

How can I get the option to make an iPod selection playlist when there is not enough space on my iPod for my whole iTunes library?

I am trying to sync my iPod with my iTunes library and I recently added more music to my library than there is space on my iPod. Normally, I know iTunes is supposed to give you the option of creating an iPod selection playlist, so you can choose which songs you want to put from your library onto your iPod. However, iTunes won't currently give me that option. It simply gives me an error message saying there is not enough free space to sync my iPod. How can I get it to create the iPod selection playlist?

Trying to open a vcf file (vCard) from a user. After double-clicking file, get message:
Cannot open file: C:\folder\filename.vcf. The file may not exist, you may not have permission to open it, or it may be open in another program. Right-click the folder that contains

I turn OFF cached exchange mode. I double-click the vcf file, it opens fine.

We have hosted Exchange, so we can't turn off cached exchange mode in Outlook.
Is this a bug? Anybody know of a fix?

Can't get Sequencing working (table or view does not exist...)

I'm running JDeveloper 10.1.2 on a Oracle 9i database.
All my mappings are correct, i mean, i can query the database using the Toplink API and list all the objects on teh database. What it's not working is inserting new objects due to this sequencing problem.
This is what i'm doing:
myClass newObject = (myClass) uow.newInstance(myClass.class);
uow.assignSequenceNumber(newObject);
But this is generating this Exception:

I figured this could be a problem with the sequencing configuration and all that stuff (I don't have a sequence table). So i checked my configurations...
'Toplink Mappings' is setup to 'Use Native Sequencing', as per Notes on http://www.boku.ac.at/oradoc/ias/10g(9.0.4)/web.904/b10313/dataaccs.htm. This page also states this:
"When using native sequencing with Oracle, specify the name of the sequence object (the object that generates the sequence numbers) for each descriptor. The sequence preallocation size must also match the increment on the sequence object" (...) "Use preallocation and native sequencing for Oracle databases.
And this is exactly what i'm doing. On myClass mappings, the 'Use Sequencing' checkbox is checked, the correct sequence name is typed correctly, once this is the same sequence i've been using for years prior to Toplink, the selected table is the correct one, just as the id field on the table.
Another thing is that the 'Preallocation Size' on Toplink Mappings match the increment value on the database sequence.
I must be missing something...
Can anybody shed some light on this?

The method accessing check box tells TopLink to use the get/set methods on your object to set its attributes - If it is unselected, TopLink will set the attribute directly. Great if you have business logic in your get/set methods that you don't want TopLink to hit each time it creates an object after a read from the database (or registers, etc).
The problem you are encountering seems like you have sequencing set to "Use Default Sequencing Table". This option is on the "TopLink Mappings" page on the "Database info" tab just below where you would have set which connection to use. You will need to ensure you have the "use Native sequencing" selected. If you set this information instead through code, be sure you do it on the database login before you login to the session.
If this doesn't help, try turning on TopLink logging to see the SQL statement that causes the problem. The knowing the table name and SQL being used might help figure out where it is being set.

after this command i have executed other command
alter user hr account unlock;
then got error ORA- 01918 : USER 'HR' does not exist
again i have executed one more command
alter user hr identified by hr account unlock;
but again receive error that user HR does not exist (error ORA- 01918 : USER 'HR' does not exist)
then i have also check the hr in all_users list with command
select * from all_user
but did not find HR user in this list
can you help me so that i can connect to the hr user, also tell me why this user is not creating with the oracle installation

ArslanA schema is simply all of the objects (tables, etc.) that belong to a particular user. You definitely don't need to uninstall oracle. That would be like tearing out the entire telephone system just to add a phone at your house.
Oracle provides some sample schemas. When you install Oracle, you have a choice of whether or not to create a starter database at installation, and whether or not to install one of the sample schemas. You can always create a new database after, and separately from, software installation. And you can always create one of the sample schemas after, and separately from, database creation.
Of course, those are just sample schemas. In the real world, you'd create your own to meet your own business needs.

Can a directory to be created if it does not exist on FTP server?

Hello SOA experts,
We are good with most common usage of all Adapters. But recently, I am facing a challenge when archive files on FTP server.
Archive files need to be placed into different folders for each month. For instance, ./archive/201308 for files archived in August. Next month, a new directory ./archive/201309 should be created, ideally automatically.
My question is, can I do through some configuration and properties setting to let SOA create a remote target directory when it does NOT exist?
We maintained multiple archive folders for different typr of documents. It is really a hassle to create them manually. And if the target directory does not exist, it would throw errors.

It failed on my BPEL instance however I could see that it was trying to create the file. When I created all destinations it was able to create it.
This is my recommendation from what I understand you'd like to accomplish:
Create the different Year&Month folders on your destination from Jan to Dec:

201311
201312
(You can actually create as many as you want going to 2090 if you want...
Add the below config to your JCA File:

I´m searching over the internet something that could solve this issue:
I´m developing an application that simply open a .rpt file, associate it to some crystalreportviewer´s reportsource. After making some tests I found out that the tables schema name (Oracle) is lost. So when I log in to the database with a user that is not the owner of the table, I get "Table or view does not exist" error.
I printed in the screen the Location property of the tables and all I got was the table name, with no schema name in it.
Someone can help me with that? I´m using visual studio 2008, 2.0 .net framework and C#

Thanks for your answer, but where do I get the Owner (Schema) name.
When I print the Table.Location property I just get the table name, not any Owner.
Ex:
My table is:
CUSTOM.TABLE1
If I print the value of table.location property value its just "TABLE1". Then If I log on as other user, not custom, I get "Table or view does not exist".

How can an artist show as a search result yet not exist in the artist list?

I'm trying to import music from the My Music folder on my computer. I followed the steps outlined in the iTunes tutorial. When I search for the song, the artist and album show as search results, but the song does not. When I follow the link from the search to the artist, iTunes goes to the artist list, and the one I am looking for is not in that list- where does the song go when I upload it into iTunes? And how can the artist show up in a search result as existing in Music, but not actually be in the artist list?

To make sure that it is not the project files' issue, create a new blank solution, copy the project files to the new solution, clean and rebuild the solution, check the result.

How about debugging it with "Step Into" instead of "Step Over"? Or you could add breakpoints between 234 line to 241 line, after the breakpoint is hit, check the watch window again. How about the result?

"Can not Update iPod because Playlist no longer exists" (!!!)

This is the message I get when I plug my iPod in. The songs remain in my library, but my playlists do not sync to my iPod. My iPod remains empty. This happened after I updtated iTunes to 6.5. Any advice?

while the ipod is plugged in and showing up in your itunes sourcelist, go into your "ipod" preferences tab.
you will currently have "automatically update selected playlists only" selected in there. compare the list of playlists in the box beneath that option with the playlists currently appearing in your itunes sourcelist. if you find any that no longer show up in your sourcelist, uncheck them in the preferences display.
