    iOS 8.0.2 (but problem started after updating to iOS 8) - iPhone 6 128g
    I can't update or download apps. When i try, I get the red circle with the red square in the middle- no activity, and when I tap on it it instantly reverts to the cloud/arrow symbol. I also can't download tunes- all of my iTunes match songs appear and I can stream them- but when i try to download to my iPhone- same thing: red circle with square in the middle, no activity, if I tap again, reverts to cloud symbol.
    I have turned off and on, reset network, reset device (but haven't restored to factory settings, trying to avoid that), i have signed in and out of iTunes countless times, i have chatted with support and have been on the phone with support (another call scheduled tomorrow) but no luck at all. Very frustrating- i've never experienced this with Apple before. Anyone have any suggestions? On, another thing. I have an iPad mini that i updated to iOS 8 and it works fine. I can download and update apps, and can download tunes from iTunes Match. Awesome, right? Very confused.

    I have a very simple web page that uploads pictures (.jpg or .gif) and when I updated my iPAD to IOS8 this morning the web page times out for any upload.
    My web Page uses a very old HTML form like this :

    iPAD IOS8 Browser has a very serious bug that needs fixed.
    The only way I found to put in a ticket on this is through apple.com/feedback, which I did.

    Do you mind taking a screenshot and pasting it here? Go to the app store to the page of an application that looks messed up (install button not showing, no description, etc). Hit the lock and home buttons on your phone (the circle one and the one on top) at the same time, just click them down together once. Your screen should flash and you will have a picture of that screen in your photos. Can you post one here? If you need help posting a picture on these forums let me know and I will guide you through.

    I can't update the downloaded app while my id and password is correct. When I complete the password, it seems updating app but nothing change and it takes only shot time. But I can do the same for install other new app from iTunes with no problem. So now my phone has lots of unupdated app.
    Before this problem occur, my appleID has a problem. It can't sign in although I fill the correct password. It bring me to answer security question but it's wrong. So I choose to unlock my Apple ID by reset password via reserved email. It can complete the process but seems to be I create the new Apple ID although that ID is same as the previous one. After that I can't update app anymore.
    Could anyone help me on this? Thanks in advance.

    If you're a school, Apple has a trade-in program for educational institutions you could look into to upgrade to newer iPods:

    Otherwise there's nothing Apple could tell you other than sell the iPods or find a reseller willing to accept them on trade. A first-generation iPod touch will not run any version of iOS later than 3.1.3, and a second generation iPod touch nothing later than 4.2.1. There are still apps that run on those versions, but they're getting fewer and fewer. Getting newer iPods is going to be your only avenue to being able to run more current apps. And if you do, I'd advise expecting only a two-year lifespan out of them, at least as far as keeping up with the latest version of iOS and apps is concerned.

    Make sure there is enough funds for storage. Contact your bank and verify they are not stopping transaction.

    Are you using a debit card?  I read somewhere that debit card are not being accepted by itunes.  Go to settings/itunes & app store, tap on the ID there then on view account, log in and check payment details to see if they are correct.

    I've been trying to update and download apps for a while now and it simply can't. I've tried to stop the download and start it again but it cannot download. The only thing that happens is that the app become unavailable and it either waits (the blue spinning circle) or the download image (circle with a square) appears. But there's no progress whatsoever.
    I have an iPhone 5s and I'm running on iOS 8.1.2, before I updated it worked perfectly, so is it an iOS problem? Or what should I do?

    iTunes uses your payment method to ensure you are who you say you are and to ensure you have a way to handle in-app purchases if necessary. If you do not have a payment method in your iTunes account, then you need to update that. If you have payment method there and it is refused, it could be the bank that is refusing the way that iTunes and other merchants will put a temporary charge on the card to ensure it is valid.

    I recently got a macbook pro and ever since I got it I couldn't download or update any apps. When I click download or update it downloads the app into a folder called downloads, which is inside iTunes Media in a .tmp folder, but the app does not go into my library and I can't drag it into my library because there is a .tmp folder and it it there is a file called info.plist and another file called download but when I click on it I get an error that says You can't open the application download because the Classic environment is no longer supported. I created a test account and a guest account and it worked so there is something wrong with my user profile. Can someone help me?

    Do you have a valid credit card linked to your Apple ID?

    We can't purchase any paid app, when i finished the all formalitiies for buying app, just a notification shown that "your payment method was declined, please use other method" but after 15 minutes my account deducted by Rs. 60 each time whenever i try to buy, because of this my account has deducted @ 500 approx.  So, please let me know freinds what should i do ??

    What sort of card are you tryng to use, debit or credit ?
    If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
    If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management
    For the Rs 60, each time that you change your card details a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

  • Updated Touch software not can't update or download apps.

    I updated the apple software as per iTunes to the 4.2. Now it will not let me download any apps or update any. I have restored to back-up, restored, done a hard start and it's still not working. Yesterday after I did a complete restore and lost all my apps I did a hard start and was able to download 2 apps then this morning it's back to not working. When I go to download or update it says waiting for the add and then it just disappears. Please help! I had no problems with this touch before I updated the software and I use it all the time.
