Hi, I'm having a similar issue updating apps. My phone is currently stating there are 4 updates available, but when I open the App Store and go to the updates tab, nothing appears. Just a blank screen.
I have tried updating on different wifi networks, restoring the phone from a backup, signing out & in to the App Store again, but it still won't download updates. As it stands the only way I can update is via pc (I haven't tried this yet but sure it will work.....).
I have seen various posts on the forums with the same or similar problems, but ALL suggestions on these have failed as well.
Any ideas would've appreciated. -

Dear, just with that suggestion I saw that there were files that I downloaded but never instaled, so I delete them and now can I download and update the applications.

On my IPad I cannot update or install any Apps. I've tried restarting and that did not help. The Apps are stuck, darkened and say Waiting.... Please help me figure this issue out.
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

Why doesn't the app store allow me to update or install any apps?
I Have an iphone 5s with ios 8.1 software. I can no longer update or install any apps from the app store. I have tried different wifi networks and cellular networks. I have also tried turning off my phone and restarting it, but nothing works. Anybody have any suggestions?
Hi Go to iTunes on iPhone bottom of page sign out of iTunes and then sign Back in Then Try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo You will not lose any data. Cheers Brian

My problem is , I no longer see my download indicator while installing or updating or downloading any app. , it happened after I installed the ios6 but after a while from installing it.
Standard troubleshooting...
- Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
- If still a problem restore with your backup.
- If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
I think your next step is to restore with your backup. FWIW, I've not seen or heard of this issue. -
Infuriatingly after updating to iOS on my iPad 2 I can no longer install any apps or update any either.
The upgrade went fine on my iPhone, but on my iPad any new or updated app just gives a "waiting" message.
Waiting for what? &*&^%$# Godot?
I have logged in and out countless timess, on the iPad and iTunes on my Macbook to no avail.

Can't update or install from App Store although I can purchase apps
I can purchase apps in App Store but I can't update them or actually install them through the store, I just get a little spinning whirylgig next to the go back or forward page icons.
I have run disk utility and I restarted.
I am on OS X 10.7.5

Disable anti virus softwrare if installed
Check your firewall settings in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > Firewall Options
Make sure Gatekeeper is enabled
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected. If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

can´t update pre installed iPhoto version 9.1.5 to 9.2 because in App Store is said i have to login with the ID I bought iPhoto!
I did not buy iPhoto with any ID because it was already preinstalled!?Did you try re-installing OS x Lion? That was the solution for me. Just make a back up with time machine and then restart your mac and during restart press ALT. Then you'll acces the support screen and there you can reinstall OS X lion on your macintosh HD.
This was the solution the people from Apple support gave me and afterwards I could download the update perfectly. -
I can't install any app from apple store. The install button is not working now. Before it was working perfectly had installed many app and I had purchased many app from i-store
If you installed Leopard that is why you can't install Mt Lion. The system Must be running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to upgrade to Lion or Mt Lion.
If you only erased the Macintosh HD partition then you left the Mt Lion Recovery HD partition in tact on that system. At startup hold down the Command+r keys to boot to the Recovery HD Partition. From there erase the Macintosh HD partition and then select Reinstall Mac OS X. It should then download Mt Lion and ask you for the Apple ID that was used to purchase Mt Lion.
The Reason Snow Leopard might not be installing is because of the Recovery HD partition. To get rid of that you must First Re-Partition the drive As One Partition. Then install Leopard then SL (Or Snow Leopard from the start) and then update it to 10.6.8. Once that is done you should be able to log on to the Mac App Store and Re-Download Mt Lion. -
