Can't update Playbook apps, update button missing

Hey Guys,
My Playbook was in repairs so they wiped everything. Now I cannot update any app. Even if I delete for example need for speed, it always reinstalls an old 1. version. I tried reinstalling, security  wipe but no luck. I've got a notice on the top that i have updates but i am stuck. Of course i don't want to buy new apps until this is solved.

  • Why can't I download app updates or new podcasts

    Hi,
I have an Iphone 4 with IOS 7.0.3 and I'm unable to download any updates for apps. Currently I have 3 updates available, BBC, Trivago and Facebook and when I go to update them the blue circle just keeps spinning around and never starts.
Along with that I'm not able to download podcasts, it just stays at the preparing to download stage and then just stops trying.
Can anyone give me some help with this?

    Hey ELSheepO,
I would try out the following troubleshooting steps to see if that helps the issue at all:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

  • Can't wirelessly download app updates to my ipad2.

I have been unable to wirelessly download app updates to my ipad2.  I can download them from my PC and then sync, but when I try to do it wirelessly, I get an "An unknown error has occurred." message.  Any thoughts?

If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

  • TS4236 I can't see the app update screen on the App Store for my ipad 2. Does anyone know why?

For some reason I can go into the App Store on my ipad2 but then when I touch the update tab nothing appears on the screen. I see the number indicating I have updates available but since I can't see anything I can't update. Anyone know whats wrong or what I should do?

Just found a similar question and the reboot of the iPad has fixed the problem and the app is back :)

  • Can I reject a app update

How do I reject a app update that I did not purchase? It has a lot of bad reviews.

But this lousy thing doesn't show in my Apps library. If it isn't in my Apps library, can't delete from there.
I never installed this on my iPhone. Why am I getting an update notice? This feels like spam to me!

  • Can't automatically get apps updated

I just got my iPhone 5 & updated to iOs 6.1. The app icon shows that I have updates but nothing comes on the screen when I try to access the update list. I have rebooted the phone & resynced with my computer. If I manually enter names of apps in search, then I can update them & decrease the number of app updates showing.

Never had a problem until the new phone & software update! Any idea how I can fix it?

  • Can I clear the app update tally without updating?

Say I'm happy with an app. Say an update is available but will add ads (or other unwanted twists). Say I don't want to update the app. Is there any way to indicate that I'm 'not interested' so the tally doesn't keep pushing it at me?

    No.

  • ITunes 11.0.3 Apps Available Button missing

    Hi Folks
The Apps Available Button is not displayed under Library/Apps. Only Get More Apps Button is displayed. I tried sign out and sign in but to no avail. I can update my apps via my IOS devices and transfer the purchases. Anyone's help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Apparently the location of that functionality has changed. To see the app updates in iTunes 11.0.3, click the "Updates" button at the top:

  • Why has my ipad mini stopped updating any app updates

    ?

Go into iTunes -> more -> downloads and look for stuck downloads there. It's non-obvious, but it's also not difficult. Delete all the downloads in progress in iTunes and then try downloading apps again.
You can also delete all the update downloads in progress. Then reset your iPad and try to update them again one at a time. One of those apps may be causing the problem which then stops the rest of them from updating.
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • How do I get update iphone apps update without itunes match?

I'm not a Luddite but ... Don't want Cloud, too many problems, and don't want to update to iTunes 10.7 if match is included. So the question becomes how do I get updates for my apps without the new iTunes store agreement. I feel as though I'm dealing with Micro-you-know-who and having a bunch of garbage shoved down my throat. And looking through all the questions about software not working properly... I've been there before. What is going on with Apple? Makes me really nervous.
    Help, please .............

Match is optional (in fact you have to pay extra for it) - so carry on as before.
iCloud is separate from iTunes and is used for syncing - it's generally recommended you use a separate Apple Id for the stores(s) and iCloud anyway - that way the family can share music & apps but sync individually.

    Shawn
