Can´t update SRW2024 to firmware 1.2.2, without boot image "runtop_boot-101.rfb"

I need a bit help upgrading a SRW2024 to latest firmware.
I started by upgrading to v.1.2.2, but the switch just started rebooting all the time, I flashed back to 1.0.0.86 via console xmodem.
On Cisco FAQ theres a guide how to upgrade the SRW2024. The guide says I have to update the boot image before the flash image, but the boot image is not available on cisco´s download section anymore.
Can you please help me with the boot image. (runtop_boot-101.rfb)

You could but it's probably not advisable, because as part of the update process all content is removed from the iPad, the update is then applied, and the content is then re-synced to the iPad - so is all your father's content (media, apps, synced photos etc) on your computer so that they can be re-synced back to it ? It is usually best to only sync and do updates via your own computer.

When trying to update the EFI firmware, I get the message: 'This computer does not need this update.' even though my firmware is out of date.

Is the 00AD part of the version number in Hexadecimal? in which case it is a higher version and does not need the update.
The reasons for my confusion is that I'm trying to install new memory modules, which are either failing due to incompatability or due to firmware versions, so I'm simply trying to rule something out....

Was just double checking, before I returned perfectly compatible RAM.
The RAM I tried was indeed "PC8500 DDR3 1066MHz 204 Pin", but I guess there are more subtleties than that...
So, for anyone wishing to avoid my problems, then it was:-
Kingston RAM
Part No: M51264H70
and this was the most info I could glean about them:-
Speed: DDR3-1066 / PC3-8500
Technology: DDR3 SDRAM
ECC: No
Unbuffered
Voltage: 1.5V
Form Factor: 204-pin SO-DIMM
None of the above conflicts with what apple recommend.
I had located the Crucial ones before posting, so I'll probably go with them as they are based in the UK.

I can't guarantee it, but I think it's very likely you'll have no problems. Mavericks is now up to 10.9.3, and it's extremely stable.

You can't, James. You need to download the OS 9.1 updater and apply it to a previously-installed OS 9.0.x while booted into OS 9. OS 9 is not available for free.

Can't open my note book. It says Selected boot image did not authenticate.

your problem is due to Secure Boot it is a technology where the system firmware checks that the system boot loader is signed with a cryptographic key authorized by a database contained in the firmware in your case boot loader is damaged.
temporary solution:
go to bios and disable secure boot.
may this help
to use secure boot feature again you have to repair your boot loader.

Can't update my N96 firmware

I have downloaded Nokia Software Updater for my N96, when I run the program it says my current firmware is 10.065 and that an update of 11.101 is available. I have downloaded the 115mb update, everytime I start the update process it never gets past saying 15 minutes to go, then it goes into phone recovery mode. I can never get past this point. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program but this has not worked. During the time it trys to update the firmware it sounds like the phone disconnects from the computer a number of times. I am running Windows XP on my laptop and using the latest version of Nokia Software Updater. Can somebody please help me?

Must say..i have my K700i which still seemlesly connect to PC on bluetooth as a remote and works like a charm. Syncs with all PC softwares and keeps me updates.
Nokia advertised DVB-H in N96 which is just useless in UK. Then coming to Navigation ... well They have got technology but they are making it useless when not providing API functions for programmers. I have not seen any good coding practice for Media Player on Nokia Phones. Last time I played an FLV file on Nokia and it went straight to media player where I am not allowed to create playlist or even ask it to search for Stored video files.
Menus and Settings are so customized and blocked by service providers that most of you might have not noticed but when even I click centre button about 76% of time it goes to another menu and I have to come back.
During driving you should be able to go on handsfree or loudspeaker with press of at most two buttons. If you are using an application you have to come to main screen to switch on loud speaker which is not a good thing as this phone has got about 8 buttons which can be easily configured to provide such functionality with just single press (or keep press for 5 seconds)
Anyways I think there are better programmers and coders present with SE than Nokia and when Nokia decided using OpenSource Symbian it should respect OpenSource developers and help them to develop things and ideas. Nokia focus on opportunities to advertise and create communities to discuss problems rather than releasing hassle-free product. Why cant Nokia sort out its already released handsets first and then go for any new ones. Afterall when they release new handset they make an impression that previous one was just **bleep** and you should pay a little more to get this one. I think this will become a term for Nokia - Next only Known investing Asinine (The only known next foolish thing to spend your money on) The rest of them you might know after spending but this one for sure.

Your device is running Version 7.4.2, is that correct?
As I recall, the latest generation of dual band products were introduced with Version 7.5 firmware in the summer of 2009. If you purchased your TC in September...and your version is running 7.4.2 firmware...my guess would be that you received a TC that had been in a dealer or store's inventory for a few months.

The normal procedure to update the firmware is to right click on the firmware folder in MAX and select "Update All Firmware Sectors". What error are you seeing?

How can I update my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 without deleting all of my data.

I have not updated my iPhone's software since I bought it in the summer of 2011, so I would like to do so in order to access new features and new apps. The computer on which I had all of my files backed up broke and I am unable to remove any of my files from its hard drive. I know that I can transfer purchases to a new computer and sync it that way, but I have many non-purchased songs from CD's and such, as well as photos, that I don't want to lose. I'd rather have old software than have all of my stuff deleted, so is there a way to pull my nonpurchased items from my iPhone to iTunes or is there nothing I can do?

My company is on a VERY slow internet connection, and at the moment we are using a cellular modem to increase our bandwidth. This connection is a metered connection. The 1 Gb download for IOS 7 will kill all of my purchased bandwidth, and has a potential to both take a while and/or cost a fortune. I need a way to update 58 iPhone 4's, 4S's and 5's to IOS 7 while only downloading IOS for each device type once. We are using iTunes to do this update as the update utility on the phone has caused 3 of our units to crash and lose all their data. 2 of which were bricked and had to be replaced by applecare. We had a utility for that when I worked for apple a few years ago that used iTunes in this manner, but I am not sure this exists on the consumer side. Does anyone know where i can look for this solution?

If you still have access to your Old computer that you used to Sync to...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

Transfer the purchases from the iPad to your iTunes library. First turn off auto sync in iTunes.
Launch iTunes on the PC, from the iTunes menu - go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing. Check that box at the bottom of the window. Quit iTunes.
Connect your iPad to the PC and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPad name on the left side of iTunes and select Transfer Purchase. This will transfer the apps to your iTunes library on the PC.
Make sure the computer/iTunes library has been authorized - when iTunes is running - from the menu at the top go to Store>Authorize this computer.

Did you make sure it was the exact file for your device and the latest version? I just downloaded the latest file for my iPhone4, put it in the folder I mentioned above and it ran the install versus downloading the file. This problem where it times out after downloading is a big Bug within iTunes that has been there ever since IOS 7.0 was released. I wished these apple developers would just fix iTunes. There are a ton of complaints about this issue. I sure miss Steve Jobs running this business, I really feel like it's gone down hill after he left.
