Can't update to IOS 5.0 from my Gateway computer.

I have an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2.  Neither one will update to IOS 5.0 from my Gateway computer.  I get an error message that the network has timed out.  Any suggestions?

  • Can you update to iOS 7.2 from Apple Developer Centre?

I was just interested if I could update my iPhone 5s iOS 7.1.1 to 7.2 fom ADC and how?
I don't have experience in this, so any help would be useful! Thanks in advance!

Apple has not released nor announced any "iOS 7.2", and we cannot discuss unreleased versions of iOS or any other Apple product in these forums. If you are a member of Apple's iOS Developer Program where you would have access to seed versions of Apple software, you will also have access to such information through that program.

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

  • Can you update an iOs app and change its platform offering from iPad/iPhone to just iPad?

When building a new app with Adobe DPS to update an existing app, can you update an iOs app and change its platform offering from iPad/iPhone to just iPad?

Vinod is correct in that you can build a new app that's iPad-only, but if you try to submit it as an update to the existing app, Neil is correct--Apple will reject it because it's considered a downgrade. You either need to stick to the universal app and do something like create a single iPhone folio that refers users to the iPad, or you need to submit it as a new app.

  • I never updated my iphone to IOS 6.1.4 and now I can't update to IOS 7, how can I get IOS 7?

I never got round to updating my iPhone 5 to IOS 6.1.4 (I think that's it!) and now I can't update to IOS 7!
How do I get around this?
    Thank you!

    Why can't you update?
There should be nothing preventing the update from 6.1.3 or 6.1.2 or even from 5 directly to 7.

  • I can't backup my iPad to my computer so I can't update to iOS 5

I have an iPad and I still can't update to iOS 5 since it came out. The original computer that my iPad would sync to is gone and I authorized my new computer but i never checked the music box and video box and app box so it doesn't sync but to back my stuff up to update, I need to sync but when I check the box to sync my music or videos exc.. it says all my music will be deleted and replaced with the music from my library but...there is no music or apps or videos or podcast in my library. and I do not want to lose my music and apps there are a ton of them. Any recommendations into fixing this problem?

Transfer Purchase from the iPad to the computer.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPad name on the left sidebar of iTunes and select Transfer Purchase. That will put all of the iPad purchased content into the iTunes library.

How can I update my iOS 5 on my iPad 2 ?

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

Yes, you could, because in this case you would have something like a backup in the cloud. BTW, personally I also like Flickr. Flickr offers you 1 TB (1000 GB) of free storage and automatic upload for photos since iOS 7 (it is a very attractive offer, at least for me)

  • HT4623 can I update to ios 6 on iphone 3g

Can I update to ios 6 on iphone 3g?

Sorry but no. iOS 4.2.1 was the last version of iOS an iPhone 3G would run. If you have iOS 4.3.3 on your phone, then unless your iPhone was hacked, you actually have an iPhone 3GS which can upgrade to iOS 6. You can confirm your model here:
