Can't upgrade anymore but file still wont open?

So i have this project that won't open. I have a trail version on 2014.1. my friend says it works on his bought version which seems to be 2014.2. Is this really the reason the project wont open. When I try It says- This project was saved in a newer version of APP and cannot be opened in this version?!

Just change to testing until the 'big' changes are made. Updating my computer now.. :-) 'Testing' doesn't sounds really safe but i'm just gonna do it..
And lol, even pacman is replaced by a kdemod package.. :+ kdemod-pacman .. :')

Try to force quit the app
Double tap the home button. When you see the app previews on the screen scroll sideways if needed to get the preview in question on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. Single tap the home button or home screen preview to exit the mode.

I downloaded Quicktime but iTunes still wont open

I accidentally removed Quicktime from my programs list because I didn't know that I needed it to run iTunes. so I went online and downloaded it and iTunes still wont open. Saying that: "Quicktime was not found!" and "Please reinstall iTunes" so I re-downloaded iTunes and I'm still getting the same message.
How do I get QuickTime back on my programs list?
Is re-downloading QuickTime a wast of time?
What am I doing wrong?
I can sit here and download it all day its not going to change anything?

If you just deleted QT from C:\Program Files you may be able to restore it from the Recycle Bin. If you used the add/remove control panel, you probably want to use it again. And then download a new iTunes QT installer

Have you accepted the license agreement for Reader?
If not, go to C/Program Files (or Program Files (x86))/Adobe/Reader 11.0/Reader
Double click the "eula.exe" file (it may just say "eula")
Accept the license agreement.
Open Reader and you should be able to open PDFs.
If it's another issue, please let us know.

My iphone app for facebook will not open. It has been re-installed and the phone re-set and also synced with itunes but it still won't open. It used to work, but seems after a last update, it will not open. This also is happening on my ipad. Any clues please??

Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

Still wont open (iTunes 8)

Since the upgrade, the iTunes icon bounces but wont open. I've tried the different tips posted on the discussions but it still wont open. I have no plugins and I've removed the itunes.plist
Can someone help me or direct me to a topic with the solution?
Or how do I remove the upgrade? so that I can use the old but working iTunes?

I did just that today. It took three attempts as I had to find all the different places iTunes were in, applications , etc. User files and anywhere else that mentions iTunes. I dragged iTunes from applications
Into trash,emptied trash then downloaded iTunes again. I kept being told iTunes was still open so again I searched for any mention of iT until spotlight couldn't find any more reference to iTunes.I repeated above and at last every thing came back except the music . I have spent the afternoon ripping CD's and have finally got all my music back on. There must be an easier way but I am a novice with apple,I am ex PC. Use Spotlight Search (the magnifying glass on the top right-hand corner of your menu bar) to locate your music files. Then point iTunes to those files.

1) authorize iTunes on your wife's user account for her iTunes store account(s)
2) connect the device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred her purchases in the previous step, your content will be in her library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Found this, which might provide a clue:
I have had problems with 3.1 after installing Snow Leopard, with files created in MS Word - they come up with the text invisible (as though it's white, but changing the text colour doesn't help - by highlighting I can tell that the paragraphs are where they should be).
I upgraded to 3.1.1 but that did not solve the problem...
UPDATE: I found out the problem, it was nothing to do with Open Office, but rather the way Snow Leopard handles fonts. I went into the Font Book and found that a number of common fonts are now listed both in the "User" and "Computer" collections. I deleted the duplicate ones from "User" and now all works perfectly.
